I’ve always been a fan of simple products, I’ve been using their refreshing face wash for years. But I’ve noticed I’ve been having bad whitehead breakouts for the past year on my face little bumps that I can squeeze etc disgusting I know! lol
but since I’ve been using this wash along with the refreshing one I’ve been seeing these clear up completely, it took a few uses for it to work but I can now see the results really impressed as I’ve been having a hard time getting rid of these blemishes, now I’m free of them 😀

I am yet to find a product in the Simple brand that actually works for me, they either break me out or give me an allergic reaction. The oil balancing range appealed to me as I have extremely oily skin and I’m always on the look out for products that promise to balance the skin. I bought the cleanser, scrub and moisturizer and suffered one of the worst breakouts of my life.
The cleanser foams up like a standard cleanser and I could hardly feel the exfoliation granules that are in it. It did absolutely nothing to balance the oil production in my skin, the same goes for the rest of the range. I suffered a horrible breakout all over my face that took weeks to disappear.
I would not recommend this range to anyone and I strongly suggest that people with acne prone skin should steer clear of this range.

I already used this for 5 months and this cleanser save my skin.
Previously, I had a combination, sensitive skin, and acne-prone skin. Then my friend suggested to me to used the body shop tea tree line. Then I used it for 3 years. At first, it was ok. My acne got cleared up and my face getting less oily. But at some point, my skin getting dryer, and I really felt uncomfortable. Maybe because body shop used alcohol on their tea tree cleanser and toner. After that, it gets worse. My acne starts to build up again. I stop using it after I realize that it brings more harm than good.
Then I buy this cleanser, it does not clear up my skin right away but this cleanser keeps me oil-free and does not dry my skin. I still getting 1-2 acne every month until 1 month ago I was surprised that I didn’t get any. But recently I felt like my skin a little bit dry. So I use this only at the morning and use the Simple refreshing facial wash gel at night. Now I felt that my skin getting healthy and acne-free.

I had been using this wash for about 2-3 months then it ran out and I began to use a different cleanser. After a few days of not using the simple cleanser I noticed I had been getting a lot of spots and I don’t usually get spots! Today I re-purchased the cleanser and after one wash my spots has shrunk and were less red! I recommend this product for anyone with sensitive and acne prone skin.

I bought this exfoliating cleanser as a less abrasive alternative to my St Ives Apricot Scrub in the Blemish Fighting version. I use this daily in the shower and it makes me feel refreshed and my skin feels less congested.
What drawn me to the product in the first instance was the fact that it was by Simple, I had a positive experience with Simple in the past with their refreshing facial wash gel, which i used before my acne became worse (stupid hormones!).
I have combination skin (oily t-zone, dry nose, dry cheeks) and I bought this product with the intention to cancel out the oil my skin was producing which wouldnt irritate my combination skin. For my combination patches, this product left them clean and refreshed and for my oily t-zone, I have noticed a dramatic difference, after using this facial wash my skin stays matte all day combined with my Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturiser which I swear by.
However, without use of my trusted Neutrogena moisturiser, this cleanser made my skin like the Sahara Desert, so I do advise putting on a moisturiser if you are prone to getting dry skin from cleansers.
Also, one of the brand’s claims is “No Harsh Chemicals” but after browsing the ingredients list, I found that SLS was one of the top ingredients, which also explains how this cleanser lathers up when in contact with water.
Overall this cleanser is fit for purpose and I would highly recommend to people like me with oily/combo skin.

I have been using this cleanser for a month now, I bought it by accident! It cleans my face really well, but leaves my skin so dry. But my skin is dry anyway! I love it though. I have noticed a decrease in pimples and black heads. It is a good product.

Ive been using this cleanser for some time now, i have an off and on relationship with this cleanser because it does cleanse my face quite fine and with my Clarisonic it definitely wipes off all the make up which i wear almost every day.
it doesnt break me out, but it doesnt clear my acne as quickly as i expect it to be,
and its a gel based cleanser which i prefer more than foam. It doesnt dry you off, which is a plus.
but i find this as just an ordinary cleanser, it doesnt really do anything special. but it works fine. I will continue on with this cleanser but at the same time im still searching for my HG cleanser, 🙂
Although i proposed this cleanser to my 13 year old sister , who currently is struggling with early teen acne. She has many tiny little pimples on her forehead and a few on her cheeks.
but this seems to work wonders for her. after using this for a month time, her pimples on her forehead are barely even there now.
She did miss using this cleanser for a week time because she forgot to bring it with her, when she went to the Philippines with the family. So she just went with anybody’s cleanser that she could use for the moment. She came back with little pimples surrounding her forehead once again! i advised her to keep using simple, and what do you know? in a week time all those nasty little pimples of her are GONE!

As a teen, I wanted to get a cleanser for my oily face and I hoped that this would work. I used it for a month or so until it actually broke me out, which was disappointing. Actually, it broke me out early but I heard that you have to stick to a routine to see the true results from using a product. I also heard that witch hazel can be an irritant which is perhaps in my case. I don’t know but maybe different products work for different people. This cleanser did not work for me. I’m on a quest for a good one.

I love this cleanser now. It is very gentle which makes it perfect for morning time cleansing when your skin doesnt require much , and for double cleansing in the evening (i first use a cleansing milk then follow up with this). It doesnt foam so the skin never feels stripped or looks raw. It contains zince pca which is good for blemish prone skin. The exfoliating particles are gentle and help keep my skin smooth ( i do not suffer from flaky skin so cannot comment on that). Lastly, it is affordable and lasts a long time. I am so happy to have discovered this!
