I was out of my normal Neutrogina wipes and I was at Trader Joe’s and decided to pick these up. They don’t burn my eyes like Neutro. All my makeup is removed and I am happy, I will buy these again.

I’m on my second pack of these cleansing wipes. I wear ELDW and I use these as a pre cleanse(makeup remover) before my cerave cleanser at night. Or sometimes I just give my face a quick wipe when I get home from work because ELDW can feel heavy on my face.
I really don’t notice a strong scent that others are talking about. Maybe I’m just not as sensitive to it?
A lot of the redness from my face has cleared since I started using these and my skin just looks better!
I will repurchase.

I’m a fan of micellar water — I use it to remove makeup before going in with my Clarisonic and Chagrin Valley complexion soap — and I thought these wipes would be easier to travel with. If you ever used the old L’Occitane Fresh Face Water, this is very similar with the same light floral fragrance and slightly cool, more astringent feel than either Simple or Ko Gen Do’s micellar water. I wear a medium amount of makeup and it removed all of it — even my eye makeup. I read some reviews that it stung some people’s eyes, but I was careful not to touch my eyeball with the cloth and didn’t have any problem at all. For home, I’ll probably stick to the Simple brand, but I’d buy these again for travel or for late nights when I feel lazy.

I use wipes mostly for travel, inebriated nights, or other times when I just can’t be bothered to go through my whole routine.
These work wonderfully at removing all of my makeup, do not irritate, and leave my skin feeling hydrated and fresh. Also, the low price is a plus.
However, the fragrance is overpowering and does not go away on dry-down. I am not so great at describing scents…perhaps floral? But it was too much for me, so it gets a rating of 4 and I will not be repurchasing and stick to my DHC wipes.
If you can handle heavy fragrance, go for it. They are great otherwise.

I really love using these– I get lazy at night taking off my makeup sometimes. I think they work better at getting eye makeup off than other makeup removing towelettes. I also don’t feel like I need to wash my face after using these. I don’t know what micellar means and it was a hoot asking my boyfriend to find them at the store when I wasn’t there. I don’t even know how to pronounce it! I will definitely repurchase these!

I love these Micellar Makeup Remover wipes from Trader Joe’s, not so much for how they remove my makeup, but rather the effect they have on my skin. Right now I use these in combination with Nuxe Micellar water and a Michael Todd facial Cleanser. I like to use them before washing my face, as a first pass. Then I use a cleanser over the sink and finish off with the Nuxe Micellar water and a night cream. When I started using these I had a little white bump right next to my lash line that wouldn’t go away (clogged pore). I was using an oil free makeup remover, among other things and I couldn’t get rid of it. After using these wipes for 6 days, the bump was gone!
If you’re not familiar with micellar technology — basically, molecule clusters made up of one side that attracts water, and one side that repels it. When the towelettes are applied to your skin, these molecules break apart, and whatever isn’t water (i.e., dirt, makeup residue, etc.) is gently pulled away from the skin. Moisture stays on your skin and leaves it feeling clean and refreshed.
What I also like about these is that they don’t irritate my sensitive skin or eyes. You get 20 in a pack for $3.99 (I saw some from another brand on Amazon for $10). Most makeup wipes will run you around $8 for 30 wipes, so you get more for your money with theses if you buy two packs (40 for $8). These do not contain parabens or any other carcinogens. The only negative with these is that they don’t remove eye makeup that well so these aren’t a good all in one solution. But as I said, I use them because they draw dirt and makeup away from my skin and leave it feeling moisturized and toned after using them. I’m 43 so I’m making an effort to take better care of my skin these days. These are great for late nights as well, when I’m being lazy and don’t feel like doing my full cleansing routine with my Clarisonic and cleanser.
