When I first started exploring double cleansing with oil / balm as a first cleanse, I desperately wanted a lotion-based cleansing cream rather than oil / balm. Back then, I just hated how the oil was runny, or the balm wouldn’t spread well over my face. I was convinced that a creamy cleanser that had the same properties of removing physical sunscreen and waterproof makeup was the key to my happiness. To that end, FAB Milk Oil Conditioning Cleanser seemed like a dream come true, so I purchased despite being warned of its terrible pump packaging.
Unfortunately, I can now say that the packaging is not the only thing about this product that was a let down. On the plus side, the product is easy to spread over face without tugging, definitely dissolves makeup and sunscreen on contact, and does not contain any fragrances or dyes. On the negative side, I found it to be very irritating with daily use. I’m not sure how this is possible since the company specializes in sensitive skin products, and the ingredient list seems relatively straight forward, if not stellar. Suffice it to say, I had high hopes for this cleanser, but will not repurchase.

This cleanser doesn’t get everything off on it’s own but it works perfectly for what I use it for. I use 2 or 3 pumps, rub it between my fingers, and gently massage my eyelid, eyelashes, and brows, and then move the remainder to the rest of my face. I typically don’t wear long wear foundations but I would probably add another pump at this step if I did, then I rinse it off with water and add my cleanser to get the rest of my makeup off. It’s very gentle and non irritating but it leaves my face without a speck of makeup, it adds the actual makeup removal aspect to many of my cleansers that don’t take off my face on their own. I’m very lazy and only ever want to do one step to remove my makeup and this lets me do that.

The Milk Oil Cleanser is very gentle and if you have exceptionally dry skin that is sensitive, and if you don’t wear a lot of makeup, you may like this. However, I wear a lot of waterproof and long-wearing makeup, and I find that although Milk Oil Cleanser loosens that stuff, I still need another cleanser in addition to this one to get my face completely clean. I have combination skin that can get oily in the summer. I actually found Josie Maran’s Argan Oil or plain old coconut oil did a better job of removing my waterproof eye makeup. I think First Aid Beauty has some great products. This one just isn’t my favorite, not even in my top five. I have bought First Aid Beauty’s regular Face Cleanser many times and can heartily recommend that product instead of this one as a good daily cleanser for sensitive skin. Another First Aid Beauty cleanser, Ultra Repair Wash, is better at removing makeup than this one, even though it is marketed as a body wash.

I like the FAB glycolic pads and wanted a mild second pm cleanser/am cleanser. I found it watery and i needed more than 4 or 5 pumps as suggested on the bottle. Application was to dry skin after using the Clinique take the day off balm, and i removed it using a wet and warm face cloth. I didnt feel squeaky clean but that wasnt what i aim for in a second cleanse. After failing with a few cleansing oils, I was giving this a try.
At first, nothing went wrong which is the high point of my experience with this cleanser. It didnt seem to do much of anything (including cleansing) and I used more and more to get enough to spread on my face for a little facial massage etc. Then my eyelids began to dry out, skin began flaking around my eyes and I experiencd burning and tingling whenever i applied it. Now that my skin was irritated, i took a step back from acid toning and let everything calm down before reintroducing steps. It all went fine until i tried the FAB cleanser again and knew it was the culprit.
Will never repurchase and tossing half a bottle unused. Why they even claim a cleanser is a conditioner for brows and lashes is beyond me, too.

I hate the packaging on this. I have to pump about 25 times to get enough product for a nickel sized amount for my face. It does a good job of emulsifying foundation but i do have to use extra for the eye area and I do not use waterproof eye makeup. I feel at this rate I will have used the bottle in a month. If you use this with water as directed the “milk” gets everywhere so I see that users are taking it off with a washcloth. I will try that because I am tired of cleaning my bathroom sink, floor, and cabinets everynight.
After I used it the first night. I decided to trust the clean. I applied my BHA toner and found foundation left so I can’t trust this as a sole cleanser.
Really I’m not wowed by this as revolutionary. It doesn’t work any better than oil cleansers, it’s not faster or less mess and it may in the end be more expensive. If I hadn’t gotten it for cheap because of a deal on Amazon I would have returned it.

When it comes to taking mascara off, this stuff is literally magic. I’ve always had such a hard time removing my mascara without losing a few eyelashes, so I’ve tried many different makeup removers. With this, my mascara comes off almost instantly and I don’t lose any eyelashes. Does a good job removing a full face of makeup as well, and leaves skin feeling soft. Definitely the best makeup remover I’ve tried and will repurchase.

This is a fantastic, gentle cleanser & makeup remover. I have used a few cleansing oils/ lotions in the past, but this one by far has been the best at taking makeup off.
I use this by taking 3-6 pumps (depending on how much makeup I’m wearing) and rubbing it all over my face like a lotion. I also go over my eyes. This removes foundation effortlessly and mascara doesn’t stand a chance. You don’t need much to remove eye makeup so it’s really easy to use and doesn’t sting. After everything has been lifted off the skin I take a warm, damp wash cloth and wipe it all off. It’s not messy at all and only takes about 45 seconds to remove a full face of makeup, which is even better than makeup wipes. I like this enough to use in the mornings too. This doesn’t strip the skin at all- instead it leaves it feeling plump and hydrated, but at the same time I know my skin is adequately clean. It doesn’t leave a greasy or oily residue.
The packaging on this is really great. I love that it comes with a pump. It takes quite a few pumps to get a good amount, but after using cleansing lotions in the past with different packaging, this is the most sanitary and convenient. It has a gentle scent that reminds me of olive oil, but nothing too strong.
My only complaint is that there isn’t a ton of product, I feel like I’m going through it pretty quickly. Other than that, this is one of my skincare must-haves and I will continue to repurchase!

This is a fabulous cleanser that takes all your makeup off with zero irritation. Will definitely repurchase this product!
