Most Andalou products have been a miss for me…great ingredients that look/sound very impressive yet somehow fail to deliver. Not this one! The slew of good ingredients is maintained (Aloe, Manuka honey, Vit C etc) and the product itself does what it says. This is a subtle lemon/orange-scented cleanser with a gel like consistency that scarcely lathers up at all, almost like a mild cream cleanser. The brightening effect using this is pretty immediate and my skin does not feel dry or tight after I’ve used it, however on its own I end up with raccoon eyes if wearing mascara so always end up having to double cleanse. Rinses off well and leaves no residue behind either. All in all a good choice for normal to combination skin types that are trying to avoid ‘stripping’ or harsh products…surfactants rarely come milder in a cleansing product than they do in this! Glowing yet comfortable feeling skin is pretty much all I could ask for in a cleanser and this scores well on both counts. Repurchase.

I’m quite enjoying this! I love the scent and the texture, I find it very effective for removing makeup, and it feels rather like an already half-emulsified balm rather than creamy cleanser to me. I massage with it, add more water, it goes white and thicker, but not foamy, then I massage more, add more water and use a washcloth and warm water and it’s as effective as other cleansing balms and doesn’t leave a residue. I have ordered the set to see how my skin goes.

I prefer creamy cleansers for my dry skin and thought I’d really like this one but I don’t. There is vitamin C, manuka honey, and a whole host of other good for you ingredients in this cleanser. It is supposed to help with sun damage and hyperpigmentation, dry patches and t-zone shine. I’m not sure any cleanser can do all of that given the limited amount of time it spends on your skin but the real problem for me with this product is the scent. I know it says “Lemon” in the title but does it have to smell like artificial lemon dish soap? If there wasn’t such a strong scent I would say this is a very mild lotion-like cleanser but nothing I’d recommend you rush out to purchase. At least it didn’t irritate my skin or cause any breakouts. There are better non-foaming and more economical cleansers out there.
