Basically, my skin is kinda complicated with oily T-Zone, flaky cheek and very sensitive. But it is under control with BC pills.The nightmare came since I stopped pills, skin barrier collapsed, my skin started to breakout with acne-prone. I tried to search for everything but nothing work out perfectly. I also tried Origins Mushroom cleanser months ago but seems not fit for my skin. It does work well on control my itchy and redness skin but cannot wipe away acne. I’m continuing on researching for my fit-cleanser.Trying Dermalogica Special Cleanser now..Please pray for me. I feel upset when everybody ask “what happened to your skin? You used to have a admirable skin ever!” Arrr..

To be honest, there are three years since I’ve used this cleanser, so the product may have changed for the better, but I remember well the bad smell, she slimy consistency and the poor makeup-removing/cleansing properties. Ok, I’m not being totally fair, because this is not a makeup remover, but many of their other cleansers remove makeup really well, and therefor this was a total letdown. I could not even finish the tube.

I only recently converted to Origins the other day, and before that I had been using Neal’s Yard and prior to that I was using Dermalogica for about 6 years.
A bit about my skin, I have extremely sensitive (hormonal) acne prone skin. I’ve been treating my spots from adjusting my diet (no wheat and dairy plus drinking plenty of water and herbal tea) which is helping a lot and I now only get a few spots but I am left with acne marks from previous spots.
After approaching an Origins counter on a whim, the lady gave me a sample of this cleanser and the moisturiser and after the first use of the cleanser I immediately saw an improvement to my skin in terms of redness. I continued to use up the sample for the next few days and my skin just loved it, it is honestly the best cleanser I’ve used in terms of sensitivity and redness. So I went out and bought the full size bottle! At £27.50 for 150ml it’s not cheap but compared to other high-end organic products it’s not *too* bad. However for a products that actually delivers what it’s supposed to it is worth every penny. I will be investing in the other products from the mega mushroom line as I genuinely feel using them all together will transform my skin.
I must point out that Origins products are not 100% organic and this is something I know a lot of people get confused about because of the way this brand is marketed. Although I have highly sensitive skin, my skin can handle preservatives whereas I cannot tolerate a lot of essential oils (which is why I stopped using Neal’s Yard after a while). So for sensitive skin sufferers out there I would even advise to stay away from 100% organic skincare products because they are mostly made up of essential oils which are highly irritable and can cause breakouts and redness.

My skin: I have rosacea on my nose, which makes the skin there very red and sensitive. My nose also tends to get dehydrated and flaky. The rest of my face is normal, with some impurities on the cheeks.
I used this cleanser when I first started out eith Origins products about 1 1/2 years ago. The texture is like a thin cleansing milk and I hace found that it sometimes “separates” and becomes thinner, I solve this by shaking the tube. It did reduce some of the redness in my skin and I could tell the difference between using this and using other cleansers/not cleansing. However, as my skin turned more dehydrated, I would often experience that my skin felt a bit tight after using this cleanser. So while it does do its job by calming redness and cleansing the skin thoroughly (doesn’t do much to remove makeup though), I wouldn’t recommend it if you have dry/dehydrated skin.

This cleanser is very creamy and non-irritating, which are perfect for my sensitive skin! If you are looking for a foaming cleanser, this is not for you. Foam cleansers always dry out my skin. I basically love how gentle it feels on my face.

I got a sample of this product and after using for a few days, I was hooked!
It is not very lathering, so if you like that aspect, then I would stay away.
If you don’t care about that, then I’d fully support this product.
It’s creamy, non-irritating and moisturizing… which is exactly what I was looking for.
You also only need like two medium sized drops to cover your whole face.. which means it lasts a long time.

I used this cleanser for a few years after A Perfect World cleanser started to be too harsh for my skin. For awhile my skin was calmer, but still red and irritated. I thought there wasn’t anything I could do about it and continued to use this cleanser along with the other Mega-Mushroom products and would just cover my redness with makeup. This cleanser stung my skin (but not as much as some others) but a sales person told me this meant it was working.
Recently while I was trying yet again to find info on how to reduce redness I came across several sites that said some people are sensitive to the plant extracts found in the more “natural” types of products. I checked the ingredients of this and realized some of these extracts were in my Mega-Mushroom products. I realized these may be a problem for me.
I’ve since switched to simpler, fragrance and plant extract free skincare and my skin has calmed way down. It no longer stings and burns when I cleanse it or apply other products.
Bottom line: Good, but pricey product that worked well for me compared to other Origins products but still too irritating to my skin. I hate that I can’t use this because I still have several unopened items in the Mega-Mushroom line. Guess I’ll donate them.

Okay so I had very aggravated acne on my face especially around my jawline, chin and a few on my cheeks. I went to purchase liz earles cleanse and polish and the sales assistant actually recommended this, naughty I know.
This is the most life changing thing I have ever used, it calmed down my skin amazingly and has made the most significant difference in my general skin texture and overall appearance.
I literally massage it all into my skin for a couple of minutes, focusing more on congested patches and then rinse with warm water. I then fab on the advanced serum and gently rub in both morning and night, and I know these are both expensive products especially the serum but they are the most amazing things I have used and have been the only things that have made a dramatic impact on my skin and. Have only been using them for 1 week and a half.
Anyone that is getting fed up with their skin, try this stuff! I know it says for sensitive skin and maybe not acne prone or oily but it is suitable, with all these products that are for acne prone and oily skin they are too harsh and just strip the skin of everything and aggravate it completely. Calming things are the best things for it (in my opinion) gentle stuff just to calm the skin.

Just so you know, my skin while using this product was very dry and sensitive. I’ve used this cleanser for about 4 years or more. I don’t really remember.
I used it during HS when I was on the swim, water polo, and cross country team. During my HS years, it removed all the dirt, chlorine, sunblock, sweat, and residue from makeup removers. It is a gentle cleanser and never broke me out. I had relatively clear, soft skin while using this cleanser. Most of the time, I didn’t have to moisturize after bc my skin never felt tight after using this cleanser.
However, it didn’t seem to clean my pores enough. I still struggled with whiteheads on my nose and relatively large pores around my nose.
You can make this into a sugar scrub by adding in white sugar. Just mix until you make a paste. I really liked using it like this. If it gets in your mouth it tastes good…. and it improves the smell of the product for those of you that don’t like the scent.

I’ve been using this product for over a month and I am amazed on how good my skin feels and look. I struggle with occasional blemishes and sun spots and discoloration and usually use a cleanser with acne control i.e. Neutragena but would still have blemishes. I was skeptical about using this one, but it came in a set that I bought and was out of my regular cleanser. I was afraid to try it and finally did. It made my skin feel clean and soft. I had no problem getting most of my makeup off with this one unless I used a lot that specific day. Since using it, no blemishes and my skin looks healthy and I think my sun spots have slighty reduced. I am satisfied with it and will buy more once I run out. So glad I tried it.
