Used to use it it worked good. Not fancy or anything but good enough. Which for me means no breakouts, no redness, takes off my makeup and doesn’t leave my skin feeling stripped. Switched to Tatcha for a year or so because the Sephora rep recommended it and I’m a sucker for skincare and luxe brands. However, I came back to it about a year after I started having issues with Tatcha who I’m sure changed their formula because when I bought a new bottle my skin went to hell. Anyways, came back to this because I remembered it was good and basic. But when I came back I didn’t like it as much. It seemed to be a bit harsh and just meh.

I have sensitive, dehydration-prone skin that can get breakouts from irritation or drying my skin out too much.
First the good: it takes makeup off well and didn’t cause a reaction on my super sensitive skin. It rinses well after emulsyfying.
Unfortunately, this cleansing oil stripped my skin after one use. It’s now two days later, and my skin is still recovering from this. It has been overproducing oil to compensate for the dryness. I thought cleansing oils were supposed to be gentle and non-stripping?
Thankfully I got this for 16€ since I’m in Europe and didn’t pay the U.S. price, but I’m really disappointed.
This is probably the last cleansing oil I’ll try since they’ve all stripped or clogged my skin.
EDIT: After asking around, it sounds like either the emulsifier was too strong or the castor/grapeseed oil was too drying.

That’s why i love all Caudalie product range. Natural, non irritating, don’t cause breakouts and obviously clean my face. I had doubted about this cleansing oil since i have already a combination skin, this product would make it more oily. but it didnt. It also removes waterproof mascara.

Awesome!!! Smells like heaven (or rather almond sweet, but this is the same for a sweeth tooth like me:-)). Takes off mascara in a whim (also on the eyes!) and my skin feels so soft afterwards. Like like like.
Update Dec 2018: has formula changed? Not half as good as it used to be. Does not clean, makeup stays in place. Need a second cleansing product to make it work.

Truly wonderful cleansing oil. I have a mini version of it for when I’m travelling (comes in a convenient pump just like the regular size version) and it takes off all the face makeup and eye makeup as well. I was worried it will blur my vision or sting the eyes (hello Elemis!) but nothing of that sort happened. It take off everything thoroughly without any residue or oily feeling afterwards.
It is quite a thick oil, I usually need two -three pumps for it to cover my face and neck. I take it off with a warm, wet flannel but recently during travels I run out and it comes off with just warm water just as well.
It smells with bitter almonds (or as a previous reviewer mentioned marzipan) but it is very subtle fragrance.
My only gripe is that although it is a great product, the regular size contains only 100 ml but it is the same price as my usual oil cleanser aka Clinique Take the Day Off Oil (which is excellent btw) so I will not be replacing it any time soon.

I’m amazed there is only one review. I use this cleansing oil as directed and instead of flushing my face with water to rinse off I use a wash cloth to gently wipe off the oil and refresh my skin. When I was home for two weeks due to a surgery I wore no makeup and solely cleansed my face with this product and it cleared up all the acne I had accumulated on my face due to a lower immune system and toxins from the surgery. Leaves my fave Moisturized too. If I ever feel the need, I use a scrub on my face afterward to get a deep clean in, but usually this product alone is sufficient.

Love love love! This has taken over from my Clinique take the day off balm!
Comes in a tube and about 2 squirts will cover your face and remove all traces of make up! It feels so nourishing and hydrating when massaging into your face and when rinsed off it your skin feels really clean and fresh.
Has a marzipan smell which I quite like and this doesn’t bother my sensitive skin.
