This product agrees with my highly-allergic, sensitive, oily/dehydrated skin. This is NOT a foaming cleanser, if you’re comparing it to other real foaming cleansers. It comes out as a clear liquid and will suds just a little if you work it with your palms. It has a viscous texture (slimy). I use it much like the reviewer below.. 2-2.5 pumps at night to remove makeup–taking my time and giving the product a chance to work. It rinses smooth. This is good for when I’ve over exfoliated as it’s gentle on my skin’s moisture barrier. It’s also good for my dry patches. While it does remove all my waterproof eye makeup, it does NOT remove all my non-waterproof (Almay) foundation–but it gets most of it. A couple times it made me a little cloggy (when I was taking time off from my BHA tonic). It’s a delicate balance. I have 2 other cleansers that I love, but that just aren’t emollient enough for my skins needs during this dry winter; this fills the bill. I think this may be too emollient in the humid summers and may lead to break-outs–but that’s then. And maybe it won’t. Will update then. In the meantime, I recommend it if your skin type is like mine. Lastly, my pump wouldn’t unlock for the first 3 days. I had several different people try to unlock it. I used it by taking the top off and pouring some into my palm. Then one day, Presto! It worked! For those who have complained about the pump, the struggle is real! 😉

I am really enjoying this cleanser. It has lived up to its claims and removes dirt, oil, and all my makeup with no issues. After cleansing, it rinses off easily.
It does not irritate my sensitive skin and there is basically no scent which is nice.
It is a creamy-gel consistency that becomes a bit frothy once you lather it up with water but I would not call it foaming. I use two pumps in the evening for my everyday makeup and 2.5-3 pumps for very heavy makeup and mascara that is hard to remove but usually, 2 pumps are enough. I just take my time and gently massage my mascara off. I also use it in the morning using only 1 pump. My face is left clean and soft, not dry and tight.
I also love the bottle which is a nude pink tone, nothing loud or obnoxious just simple and clean.
The price is great too, it has been just under $5 everywhere I have found it (Walmart, Target, Walgreens).
If you are looking for it you will find it with the Almay makeup products, not in the skin care aisle.
I have read that others had issues with the packaging and the pump not working.
I have not had any issues with mine and the pump works just fine, do make sure you unlock it as it has a pump that you can place in a locked or unlocked position. Maybe they have corrected the issue people were having.

Pros:
Very gentle
Non-drying
Effective cleanser
Cons:
Packaging (pump never worked!)
Slimy texture
May not remove heavier makeup
Details: This is a winner for me and I will definitely repurchase, but Almay absolutely needs to do something about the packaging! I’ve seen reviews elsewhere about the faulty pump so it’s not just an isolated thing. And, yes, I tried REPEATEDLY to get it working so it’s not just me. In addition, please be prepared for a texture that is quite weird – a cross between oysters & snot. Not my favorite aspect of the product! I must also say that I do not wear eye makeup, so I can’t speak to its abilities to remove even non-waterproof makeup. When I occasionally use a glycolic acid pad after cleansing, there is a very faint foundation color left on it, but I have had no problems with breakouts in the two months or so I’ve been using this. Because my major issue at my age is combatting dryness, which this does very nicely, I’m going to keep using this (unless I decide to try their non-pump cream version).

I’ve long had a couple favorites in a higher-priced brand (The Body Shop chamomile oil cleanser and cleansing balm), and I still love those, but this find has been a pleasant discovery.
I like oil cleansers because my skin tends to feel dry-ish in the winter months (not painfully so, but I’d like a boost any way I can get it). But I found this on sale at a drugstore for $3 (half price) and seeing I got 6.7 ounces of product for so little cost, I had to try it. Plus it’s fragrance free and, hey, the packaging says it has “nourishing rice milk,” so it sounds nice.
It works pretty well, too. I haven’t tried it yet with a heavy application of eye makeup, but I’d used some lipstick as blush and one of the more stubborn mascaras, and wetting my face, lathering this on (it doesn’t get super foamy or anything, and feels most like your basic hand cream until you suds it up a bit), the makeup came off pretty easily. It takes about as much work as using an oil-based cleanser (maybe a tiny bit more), but when I rinsed it off, my mascara was gone, I didn’t experience any eye irritation, and my skin felt clean and soft, but not stripped.
I’m not sure how this will work with a heavy application of eyeliner (think tight-lining and all that jazz), but so far it’s impressed me. A fantastic deal for $3, and still extremely good for $6.
