These makeup removing towelettes by Neutrogena made my skin itchy. They did wipe off my makeup, so they work.

I received a sample of these wipes with purchase of another Neutrogena product. Typically Neutrogena is hit or miss with me, and unfortunately, these cleansing towelettes were a miss. They contain fragrance, and though they removed makeup quite readily, I found them to be irritating–I had irritation from the product itself, and irritation from rubbing the cloth on my face. They are very convenient to be sure, but unless I am traveling and need this level of convenience, I will stick with oil cleansing and a wash cloth to remove makeup and sunscreen.

I usually buy the twin pack because I use these wipes on a daily basis. The wipes are great for removing everyday makeup, but not so much for super glam look or heavy makeup. If I do have heavier makeup, i use a separate makeup remover that requires a cotton pad. Aside from being a makeup remover, I think they are great for cleaning your brush on the spot: I take my brushes after applying anything creme-based or need to change color and just wipe them gently on the towelette & it just makes them a little less dirty after each use.

These are the best makeup removing towelettes I have used so far. They effectively remove my mascara which most wipes do not do well for me. I have yet to use a makeup removing cloth that removes 100% of makeup, so I always follow up with my regular cleanser.

I don’t buy these on a regular basis . I only buy them if I have to sleep somewhere overnight and I’ll be wearing makeup that day. It removes face makeup and eyeshadow well, not so bad w removing mascara. I do believe if you left the package sit for a long time it will dry out bc it’s not in a container . You still need to cleanse after you use this. I do t find any wipes truly purify and totally clean your skin.

Everybody’s skin is different, mine is oily but still dehydrated/flaky. I’m 26 so I think my skin is going into it’s “next phase”. One thing my skin is NOT (at least usually) is sensitive. The only thing that has really bothered my skin in the past was when i went a little overboard on the benzoyl peroxide cream, which made the skin around my eyes and jawline super red inflamed and itchy. Well, these did almost the exact same thing, but this time the painful redness was accompanied with painful swollen zits and breakouts on the outer edges of my face (my temple, jawline and hairline) as well as the corners of my mouth. It’s bad. I removed my makeup with these before bed two nights ago, it didn’t feel good fromt he get go but when I woke up my eyes were so red and swollen I looked like I had been crying for hours. The delicate skin around my eyes was completely raw and too painful to apply any makeup. The package says that these wipes are eye safe, but my eyes really took a beating from these. I’ve used a ton of different facial wipes, including some really bad ones (looking at you Wet N Wild) but i would take ANYTHING over these.
Aside from the fact that these wreaked havoc on my skin, they also smell horrible. The only way I can describe the scent is “cheap” like a lotion you would get at a Motel 6 or something, and the scent is really heavy. I honestly don’t know what they’re going for fragrance-wise, but it’s bad.
They also leave a gross filmy layer that makes me feel dirty after it dries. If you insist on buying these, definitely make sure to wash your face afterward, which you should be doing anyway, but these aren’t for the lazy girl.
I ended up throwing these away after three uses. Thumbs down.

I used to LOVE this product!! It was so nice to have wipes that were made by neutrogena, a skin care brand, and you could just simply take your makeup off in bed if you were too lazy to wash your face. I wear a pretty heavy amount of makeup and this did the job. I bought a HUGE pack from Costco or Sams or something so once I ran out I repurchased, and during these 3 or so months it took for me to repurchase, they must have reformulated the product. They also had a VERY weird smell that they never had before. Sort of like a watermelon/cucumber smell that was awful. My skin is breaking out EVERYWHERE. EVERYWHERE. I have little red bumps all over my face and zits and pimples rising to the tip every single night when I remove my makeup. The only thing has changed in my makeup/skincare routine is these wipes so I know it is because of that. Please do not buy these!!

Good makeup remover wipes. I would use them to remove mistakes and to take off makeup in a pinch while traveling, etc. They are very hydrating, so I will only use them in the winter. My skin gets too oily in the summer to use these.

this was the first brand of makeup removing wipes I ever bought.
it does do its job but the wipes felt abrasive on my skin, made me feel a little raw.
Neutrogena products are either a hit or miss for me, I have normal with a little dry in winter and combo oily in the summer.
