This is just BAD. Wouldn’t recommend it. Doesnt remove makeup, the only good side of it is that its soap free, no fragrance and has a decent package. Doesnt do much for my skin and leaves it dry.
Texture when washing is weird, doesn’t lather (again…no soap), but is kind of slimey and slippery.
There are much better options out there.

I’ve been using this cleanser for a few weeks now, and I can say it’s a fairly decent face wash. While it doesn’t remove makeup properly, it makes my skin feel fresh in the morning, not stripped. I have combination acne prone skin and this hasn’t caused any breakouts.

Unfortunately based on my experience with this product, I cannot recommend it and will not re-purchase. I truly love some of the La Roche-Posay products however this doesn’t remove makeup and makes my skin look red. I wouldn’t dare putting it anywhere near my eyes. My skin is not even that sensitive. Sadly this is a strong no-no for me.

Urgh, this is just awful, awful stuff. In fact, the only good things about it are the bottle it comes in and the fact that it’s fragrance free!
This did pretty much nothing when I used it to remove my eye makeup. I tried used a little bit on a cotton pad, then I applied a bit more directly to my eyelids and rubbed that in, before removing it with another cotton pad. And the result – along with the stinging eyes – was painful. And definitely NOT quick!
There’s no way I could recommend this based on the results I achieved. The amount of product required to remove even the basic amount of eye makeup negates the cost of it even when you compare it to something like Bioderma’s Sensibio. That product might be more expensive, but it actually works and their larger bottles last an absolute age for me.
I’m starting to feel like La Roche Posay is another one of those brands that’s been hyped up online by beauty bloggers/vloggers and the like, but in reality it’s really not that great at all. I certainly won’t be rushing out to try any of their other products in the near future anyway, especially if this one’s anything to go by.

To be fair, great packaging, super practical when you want to remove your make up in the bath room.
As much as I want to love this product, it works just as good as plain water, just that it stings my eyes when I try to remove eye make up. It does remove eyeshadows, even better when I apply some pressure with my fingers, but does nothing to removing mascaras, foundation, lipstick, etc.
Really disappointed. I was hoping maybe I have used this product somewhere wrongly or whatever, and it shouldn’t be this obsolete as a make up remover (I am a loyal user of their Effaclar washing gel) I was hoping to find a slightly cheaper alternative to Bioderma’s Sensibio but I failed. I still have it 3/4 of the bottle left and I have decided to let it go.
Tried it with water and without water, with finger and with cotton pads, tried rubbing it all over my face longer than usual, but it still doesn’t work. So girls and boys, I wouldn’t recommend it to you 🙁

I love micellar waters BUT this one in gel form had me confused. The website says “Apply on dry face and rub in with hands or put on a cotton pad, and then wipe off carefully” and it’s labelled as a “makeup remover micellar water gel” but whether I used it on a cotton pad or tried it as a gel cleanser, it did absolutely *nothing* to remove any makeup. Maybe it’s best for those who don’t wear *any* makeup? But look again at the website. It says “Gently cleanses and removes make-up. Suitable for waterproof make-up removal.” Did you get that? Waterproof? Guys, you need to go back to the lab with this! Even if I used the entire bottle, I don’t think it would remove waterproof anything. This, folks, is a clear example of a 3 dressed up as a 9. Pass.
Edit to add: I even scribbled a little waterproof liner and mascara on the back of my hand. This didn’t touch it. At ALL. (You’d have to scrub your face raw to get anything to budge but there will still be makeup left on it). I tried to copy and paste the ingredients from their website BUT them compared it to the bottle I have and they’re completely different! A flaw at their end? On on the labelling of mine? Their ingredient list was last updated 02/2008 and my bottle expires 12/2017 so I copied the ingredient list off my bottle.

The worst make up remover ever. I use very light make up, nothing watherproof but it doesn’t clean anything. My skin is normal, tends to be a bit oily in summer but I don’t have special wishes when I’m purchasing cleansers-only to do what’s supposed to do- to remove make up. It doesn’t clean a bit, it only smudges it all over face, and when you try to wash it with water, it stays on face. It costs around 13€, and that is 13€ too much.

This is my trustee, go-to cleanser – gentle, yet effective! I like to invest in serums and face oils, so I did not want to splurge on a product that goes down the drain. I just wanted something inexpensive but of very high quality. And so I bought this, having heard youtube gurus like Caroline Hirons raving about it. Absolutely worth the hype!! I am on my 4th bottle.
It is perfect for my sensitive skin, it does not irritate it and it cleanses it perfectly. Most importantly, it is not a foaming cleanser, it just creates a velvety lather. I do not feel my skin tight or dry after using this!
It claims to be a make-up remover, however, in my experience it did not perform well on this point (especially with long-wear or waterproof formulas).That is why I use it as a second cleanser in the evening, after I remove my makeup with my Bioderma or with a cleansing balm. I also use this LRP gel in the morning.
There is not much to say about this product, except that it is a great and effective cleanser that would suit any skin type! And best of all – it is cheap.
