   Recently I bought three products from La Roche Posay and loved them all so decided to buy my face wash from this brand too.my HG cleanser was Yves Rocher Nutritive Ultra Rich Velvet face wash before this and it was very good.but recently I’m going through eczema and my beloved Yves Rocher face wash doesn’t feel as good as always.it’s still better than most cleansers out there but my skin feels a bit dry and tight after using it..choosing a good face wash is very important for me because a harsh one can make my skin very red,itchy,dry and flakey,and if my face wash doesn’t cleanse well,all the thick moisturizers I use for my Eczema clog my pores and cause acne and pimples
   I wanted to try a creamy or oil face wash this time but here the only available options from LRP are two types of Effeclar cleansers,Physiologic Micellar Foaming Gel and this one so I chose this one as it seemed a better option for my dry skin(I wished I could buy Lipikar Syndet but it’s not available here )
   This product has no reviews in Makeupalley and this made me skeptical about it.I thought it’s not good enough to be popular but actually it’s great.I guess it’s not well known as much as Lipikar Syndet because “Shower Gel” is a part of it’s name so no one sees it as a face wash but I googled about it and checked LRP website and it’s written there that Lipikar Gel Lavant Soothing Protecting Shower Gel can be used for body AND FACE ,for adults and children,even babies,they claim that it doesn’t sting eyes and can be used to wash babies scalps also genital areas of children and adults too.it also says that it’s suitable even for very sensitive skin,is Paraben-free,soap free and has physiological PH
   I bought a 400mil for 12$ and it comes in a dispenser packaging .it’s good that it’s not opaque like most LRP bottles and I can see the amount of the product inside it but I wish it had a pump.it has fragrance but it’s pleasant and not too strong and I like how it smells(I have an almost sensitive skin but it has never had allergies to fragrances in skincare products).it’s fresh scent reminds me of crisp green apples a bit
   I never use face washes to remove my makeup.I use a micellar water(usually Bioderma Sensibio H2O)or LRP Toleriane Dermo Cleanser and cotton pads to remove my makeup,then wash my face so I can’t comment on it’s ability in removing makeup but it seems to be a good cleanser as I use very thick layers of rich creams(for instance Lipikar Baume AP+)during the day and this face wash managed to completely remove them.I also don’t use face washes to wash my eye.I use Eyesol Gel which is specifically formulated for that purpose but tried this Lipikar Lavant Gel once on my eyes so that I could review it and it didn’t sting my eyes.
   I loved using it.it goes smoothly on wet skin and lathers a bit(not a thick foam with lots of bubbles),I massage it gently on my skin for a minute then rinse it.it’s the only face wash I have used that doesn’t leave my skin with slightest amount of tightness and I even feel that stretch and tightness when I use only water to wash my face.my skin is completely clean and refreshed,also very smooth after using it.and the good point is: it doesn’t leave any oily or tacky film on my skin and manages to soften my skin without that oily or sticky residues!
   My skin was always red after washing it but not now.there was also no break outs or irritations.today when I came out of bathroom and was drying my face with towel,my husband said that your skin looks like baby skin after washing,softer and brighter..I can also see that the tiny pimples I had on my forehead and chin are fading away
   I haven’t tried it as a body wash or genital wash yet.I may try once but I consider it as my face wash and I think if I use it as a face wash,it’s going to last for ages

   I hate it when I have to edit my reviews and reduce a product’s rate but I have to
   When I first used it,I felt it doesn’t leave my skin dry,it felt very nice while I was suffering from Eczema but now I feel it’s a bit drying.I have to moisturize my skin immediately after washing it with Lipikar Gel Lavant,when I compare it to my other favorite cleansers,the before mentioned Yves Rocher Nutritive Cleanser and Uriage Xemose Oil I see that they’re much less drying(and they’re more affordable)
   Another con is that I find it difficult to wash off.I have to spend more time to completely wash it off so that there won’t be any foam or white residues of creams left on my face
   But what is the biggest concern of me is that I think it’s irritating my skin in a way.I’m not sure about it yet but I feel when I wash my skin with this one,one skin seems to be more sensitive,more prone to acne breakouts or flare ups.I’m going to do more tests with different products to make sure if it’s this cleanser’s fault or I have to blame the other products I use.I wish I find out my skin likes it because I still have a lot of product left in it’s huge bottle
   For now,I’m reducing it’s rate to 3 stars
