Not only do I love the way my face feels after using this at night, I’m also thrilled with how well it removes all my makeup, including some of the brattiest ever waterproof mascara. Even better, it doesn’t irritate my horridly sensitive eyes. I wish it were a bit less expensive, or came in a bigger bottle, the only reason for four lippies rather than five. I will continue to buy it, but save it for night cleansing rather than using it twice a day.

I got this as part of a package deal, too. For my still not that dry, over 70 yo skin, it’s just right, in one step.
I’ve done the 2 step, Rice Oil/Cetaphil cleanse, and my skin felt a little tight. Liked Bioderma Micellular, but never felt I got all my makeup off with it. A few drops of this and all of my makeup, even Japanese mascara, is gone. My skin feels soft, without a layer of oil. Since it only takes a few drops for my whole face, I think the bottle is more controllable than a pump would be. I’ve already ordered another bottle to make sure I don’t run out!

I got this as part of a sale package with a few other Hylamide products. I have oily acne prone skin and use sunscreen everyday and often wear makeup. This stuff is great at gently removing my makeup and sunscreen! If I really want to get rid of every trace of mascara and eyeliner I put this on my dry face and massage it into the makeup areas. I then like to use my helicare electric silicone cleaning device and have that vibrate well around my lashes and eyes. This stuff is the only thing that has ever removed all my eye makeup in one go! It leaves my skin feeling soft and not stripped. There is no silicone in it so I don’t have to worry about that ruining my cleaning brush. The nozzle is a bit annoying, I’d prefer a pump perhaps. It’s slippery texture means It always seems to get in my mouth a bit even though I keep it shut, and it doesn’t have a great taste but it doesn’t irritate my eyes so I can live with that. And unlike other oil cleansers, you don’t need to use a second cleanser to take this off!

This is just a fancy expensive version of any oil based cleanser. It does truly clean however its expensive for 120ml and I would actually rather use oils since they have antioxidants and are nourishing. Needs a pump, nozzle can get messy, points for no fragrance and easy rinse off. I much prefer to use this on a dry face and goes slightly milky with water, speads well and rinses easily. All in all, its too expensive for a first remover and I would rather use cleansing oil. If this came in a mega bottle and was cheap then yes I would recommend. This category has been done well for very cheap.

I purchased this as part of a package deal on boxing day. Having used another oil cleanser, I oil cleanser does not work for me. It could be the type of makeup I use, as I go between full coverage Estee Lauder foundation and Mischa BB cream, and found it does not cleanse it off on the first go. I use it with the Shiseido face brush, on a dry face and then rinse with water. It requires a double cleansing, which is what seems to be the fad these days. I was doubling up with micellar cleaner and when you think about it, that is the opposite of high efficiency. As I use white face towels to clean my face, I can still see make up stains on the towels after the double cleanse. So I am back to Shiseido’s Whip It cream.
By the way, I use the little baby cloth’s that are about 6×6 and come in packs of 6 to dry my face. Use a clean one daily and throw in the laundry after each use. They are available in the kids section for less than $5. They are thin, but as you are simply patting your face, there is no need for thick ultra absorbent towels.

Deciem has several product line of which Hylamide is one. I decided to try several items from Hylamide and it’s High Efficiency Face Cleanser was one of the first. In my opinion the only way this cleanser could be used is either in the morning or for someone who doesn’t wear any makeup. I expected given the texture that this would do a great job cleansing before bed which involves using makeup. The High Efficiency Face Cleanser just did not deliver.
This left most of my makeup on which is disappointing because I don’t wear any water-proof or water-resistant makeup. I could see this being a decent cleanser for someone to use in the morning when they aren’t cleansing off any makeup. I do like that this product is fragrance and irritant free. I could also see this being gentle enough for people with sensitive skin to use- as long as they aren’t trying to remove makeup. This does have some astringent properties (tomato) so those with oily skin could benefit from using this… again as long as they don’t rely on this to remove makeup.

It’s like a more expensive makeup remover. It has an oil-like consistency and when you rinse it off it’s all off. It doesn’t leave your skin tight, however, I don’t think it’s a good enough cleanser for me, it also kind of feels like sandpaper, so I think it has irritated me a bit. Also, DON’T GET IT IN YOUR EYES! My eyes got so red they have never been that red before and dry as well. For the price and what it is, I would not buy it again and wouldn’t recommend it.

This is a very unique cleanser. It feels like an oil-gel. It smells quite nasty – almost like vodka? It is supposed to be used on dry skin if makeup is present. It’s not great at makeup removal. You use it wet if you’re not wearing makeup- I prefer to use it in this scenario. It doesn’t strip your face – in fact it’s quite hydrating. It’s hard to tell when its rinsed clean. Don’t use it on your eyes- it burns for a long time. I use a micelles water first on eyes and all over face and then I cleanse with this on makeup days. The price is fair. I like the packaging. I am 50-50 whether I will buy it again.

I’ll begin by saying that I generally love the Hylamide brand and have used several of their products (for example, SubQ serum, SubQ eyes, C25 serum, HA Blur and Low Molecular HA. C25 and HA Blur are HGs for me!). This just didn’t compare to the elegant feel and scent of other cleansers which I think affected my experience of it. It takes makeup off okay. The smell of this or lack thereof – just not a fan. Also, it sometimes got into my contacts and made it blurry. Definitely will not be repurchasing.

*my skin is sensitive, combo, mild rosacea/dryness on cheeks*.
This cleanser texture is watery but it feels oil like, no fragrance, you don’t need to use a lot and does a great job removing makeup and lotion with SPF (i just use more if I find its tenacious). I’ve found no sensitivity, no dryness or redness while using this. To use if makeup is on skin you massage the cleanser onto dry skin to cleanse and rinse off with water, if no makeup wet face first then massage in cleanser and rinse off with water. I prefer not to use flannels/cloths to remove a cleanser/oils so removal with just water is a huge plus for me. I did use micellar water after the first few cleanses but stopped as this did such a great job removing everything (I’ll add however that I don’t wear anything waterproof).
Price is fair, I’ve been using this nightly/sometimes morning (I’m using up the last of a milk cleanser for most mornings but will then switch to this) for the last 5 weeks and there’s still 3/4 left, so I should be able to get a couple months more out of this. Packaging is very simple as it’s a plastic squeeze bottle. I took lippies off for packaging because I dislike the squeeze bottle and would prefer a pump, I just find it harder to control the amount coming out.
I don’t see myself needing to change cleansers again, this does what I need it to do.
