This product saved my skin! I was constantly having trouble with my skin, it would feel extremely dry and dehydrated around my cheeks but I’d be constantly breaking out and coming out it those pesky bumps under the surface. Because of my breakouts I was using harsh cleansers which were just worsening the condition of my skin and I felt like it had no life. Then I came across this. I had heard Manuka honey is amazing for your skin so I though there’s no loss is giving it a try. Am I glad I did! After a couple of days of using this my skin condition had complelty changed. My skin no longer felt tight and horrible and my face is glowing after I’ve cleansed. I still have the odd breakouts but the bumps under my skin have toned down a hell of a lot. I’ve already gone through a whole tube. Would seriously recommend for sensative skin or skin that’s needing some love. This range is amazing. The only reason I haven’t gave it a 5 is because I’ve only been using it a month and don’t feel that’s enough time to have a full opinion. But so far so good!

After developing a bad reaction to the Clinique cleansing facial bar (something which up ’til that point I’d been using for years with no problems) I was keen to try out some of the newer cleansers on the market. This was one of the first ones I tried, mainly because of its claims to be free from SLS, parabens and mineral oils, but also because it contains Manuku honey which I understand is supposed to be very soothing for the skin.
I used this once a day as part of my morning cleansing routine and although it was okay to use, I’m doubtful I would repurchase. It never really felt like it was getting my skin properly clean and in fact had the tendancy to feel like it was just sitting on top of my skin, even when I really worked it in with my fingertips. It never made my skin react or break out, but neither did it feel like it was doing anything beneficial.
The other downside for me was the scent – I don’t know whether I just got a bad tube, but it smelt really sour to me. Not quite as bad as milk that’s gone off, but not far from it. And that’s not a scent you want to be smelling every day in your morning shower, just before you have breakfast!
I’ve heard good things about other products in the Good Things range, so would still be interested in trying some more from them. I’ve only ever seen them stocked in Boots, but they all seem reasonably priced – this was only £4.99 which is more than reasonable for a drugstore product. I just wish it had worked better for me.
