Takes off makeup but requires a lot of rubbing.. also irritates my eyes like crazy.. I wonder if anyone else has had this reaction? I don’t think it’s just this product but it’s all micellar waters/wipes that make my eyes hurt for at least 24 hours. :/

I hate to bring down the rating for these but I’m not as thrilled with them as everyone else. Yes they do take off your face makeup and yes they are gentle. I just feel like its harder to take off my mascara with these as opposed to the regular micellar water. I usually will saturate a cotton pad with the micellar water and squeeze off any excess and then hold it over my eyes for about 15 seconds and this makes my mascara easier to remove. I like the portability of these and love the idea of putting micellar water in a wipe but since they are drier than a saturated cotton pad, I have to rub my eye area more with these to get my eye makeup off. We all know pulling on the skin around your eyes is a no no. I can’t imagine these would do anything for waterproof mascara. Because of this, I will just stick with the original micellar water so I can control how much I want to use.

I do really like these wipes there gentle enough to remove all my makeup which includes full coverage foundation, powder foundation, bronzer, Blush, highlighter and mascara! They never leave my skin red or dry despite having very sensitive acne prone skin, I just wish they would do a larger pack

These wipes are just as effective as the micellar water but much more convenient for travelling. They take everything off and are VERY gentle. Highly recommended for even the most sensitive skin types.

For years, I have used baby wipes when I’m too lazy to do my regular cleansing to remove my long-wearing MU, SS and waterproof mascara. (I find Pampers to be best as Huggies seem to drag and tug my skin more). However, while these are more $$ than baby wipes, they remove MU faster w/ a bit less effort vs baby wipes. So, I will re-purchase, but will probably rotate w/ baby wipes just to save some $.
For travel, it will be these since the packaging is smaller than the large packets of baby wipes purchase and when travelling, faster removal is better for me.

It’s hard to fault these so i will give a breakdown:
Pros:
* removes all makeup including waterproof eye makeup and my ELDW
*smells lovely- a gentle floral
* soft cloths
*easily accessible
*non irritating or drying
* doesn’t leave residue
Cons:
*maybe the price? But don’t cost any more than regular wipes
So far these are my go-to

I really like these- the cloths are super soft and gentle (no textured surface)and remind me of what the simple wipes used to be like a load of years ago before they changed them to have a bumpier texture.
They are also really moist and saturated with micellar water. In terms of makeup removal I would rate their effectiveness the same as using micellar water on a cotton pad. As is ever the case they are best suited to people who don’t wear a lot of face makeup. I find them non-irritating to my skin and eyes, no drag to the skin, non-drying and once your face has dried they do not leave a residue.
They are probably less economical than a standalone bottle of Garnier micellar water but then you have to also factor in the price of the pads you use with it…. so mileage may vary but I enjoy the convenience of the wipes and don’t mind paying a small premium for that.
NB- They do feel quite siliconey in use (and they do contain silicones)- although they don’t leave any of that feeling behind it is worth a mention if you are sensitive to silicones or dislike the feel of them.
