While I’ve written many reviews, it has been a long time since I’ve done one. I suppose that I haven’t felt super strongly about many beauty products recently. I felt strongly enough about this one that I thought it was necessary to write a review.
I will start by saying that I understand that there have been different iterations of this product. It seems like people really liked the old version. The version I purchased was bought just a few weeks ago.
I tried this one night in the shower and right away didn’t really like the way it made my skin feel. It made my skin feel stripped and yet not really clean all at the same time. The next morning I woke up and had a bunch of small pimples on my face and as that day went on, my face turned sort of red-purple in spots and was itchy (in addition to the new blemishes). Next I started to have what looked like a hormonal breakout around my chin line. These were deep painful cyst type pimples. I’ve never had this sort of a reaction to anything, so I stopped using it right away. My skin is now just finishing up healing. I couldn’t believe how quickly I had a response and how severe the response was. I’m not sure as to which ingredient in this product elicited this response from my skin, but I would not recommend this product.

This cleanser works perfectly for me. I have normal/combination skin and have found many foaming cleansers to be too harsh and stripping. However, cream cleansers aren’t deep cleaning enough and cause me to break out, especially in the warm humid months.
After washing my face with this twice daily, I apply serum and moisturizer (different brand) and am very pleased with how clear my skin looks.

i love this product because it is not to oily for my combination/oily skin and it really perks up my skin with added antioxidants. it does not have any added scent to it either. it is about $13.00 so it isn’t way too expensive either.

This product had a nice smell, but that was all. I cleansed the skin, but I noticed little itchy blotches right away after using it. I must be sensitive to some of the ingredients. I have been trying to use more natural products so I decided to try Dessert Essence products which are great for my skin type.

I really wanted to like this cleanser, I’ve been trying to switch over to more natural products. My skin is kind of combo, acne prone and sometimes sensitive. I never knew it was that sensitive until after using this. With in a few days my skin was turning bright red almost like I had a sunburn(without being in the sun) and I started to notice a few new zits, which isn’t abnormal for me so I continued to use the cleanser. After a few more days I started breaking out horribly with deep painful cysts along with the red burning skin, not normal! I immediately stopped using this and the redness went away but now I’m dealing with trying to get rid of the spots that are left from the cystic acne. This was definitely not what I was expecting from a natural product:( I have switched over to Burt’s bees radiance cleanser and that has done really well calming my skin back down.

I have oily/mild acne prone skin. I wanted to love this product after reading the rave reviews & the products beneficial promises. But this product gave my skin an odd effect. My skin felt oily & dehydrated at the same time..WOWZERS!! After washing my face I would have that tight/pulled feeling (which I’m not a fan of), then a few hours later..can you say bring on the shine! Unfortunately, this one will be going back!

This is my favorite Mychelle cleanser. It has a lot of antioxidant power to it. I was annoyed because it went bad when I kept it in the shower, but if I keep it in the shower it should not go bad. It is a gel cleanser, and my forehead is really oily. It isn’t as stripping as the White Cranberry one. If your forehead is really oily you may have to use a little more of it on your forehead.

This didn’t work for my dry, sensitive skin – it’s somehow too drying and not cleansing enough at the same time. But my husband loves it. His slightly oily skin is more matte and clear with regular use, and he has stopped getting bumps from shaving.

I may be one of the few who actually likes the new formulation better. I tried it a few years ago but it actually seemed to irritate my skin (I have to be careful with any “enzyme” product, many cause a weird rash). I tried it again after trying the honeydew and pumpkin cleansers, which smelled nice but didn’t leave my skin feeling clean. I feel the the fruit enzyme cleanser leaves my face feeling clean but not stripped. It is a little on the spendy side, but I almost always find it on sale, and a very little bit goes a long way for me.

I love this cleanser. I admit I use several different types of cleansers (I like to rotate) but this one is one of my favorites and I will continue to buy it. A friend of mine introduced me to this line and I use the fruit enzyme cleanser and the fruit enzyme spray. It doesn’t dry out my skin at all, it’s a very gentle cleanser and it leaves my skin feeling soft. I have sensitive/dry type skin.
