Doesn’t work for me at all! Takes forever to actually get foundation and eye make-up off, has a rough texture even though it is marketed towards sensitive skin. It also made my entire forehead break out with massive red spots and blotches, I’m not really prone to getting spots either. Not buying again.

Perfect no-nonsense cleansing wipes! I use one of these to take off all my makeup every evening before cleansing with Lush’s Ultrabland, using toner then moisturising. I can’t stand it when ‘fragrance free’ wipes smell of chemicals – I’m asthmatic & very sensitive to smells in products – but these genuinely don’t smell of a thing and remove makeup gently and effortlessy from my often temperamental skin. They’re frequently on offer for £3/3, when I make sure to stock up for several months.
Only a few minor negatives – the packaging isn’t great; it does the job most of the time but the plastic tab comes unstuck every so often, meaning the pack dries out. Sometimes when opening a new pack the top few wipes are dry, but this can be solved by storing them upside down to filter the moisture back through. Also it would be great if they were a bit thicker since they can feel flimsy when removing a lot of makeup at once.
So glad I switched from Simple wipes & saved money – you really can’t go wrong for a product that costs £1 (or £1.69 full price) that does exactly what it says!

UGH. These were really disappointing. I’ve tried, I think, 5 or 6 different makeup remover wipes now, in my hunt for the perfect one, and these were the worst of the lot. There’s 3 things I look for in a mu removing wipe: 1. Moistness- is it wet enough to take off mu easily? 2. Texture- Is it soft enough? 3. Ingredients- is it fragrance free and full of soothing &/or simple ingredients?
So these failed on the first two.
And to be honest, I was really excited to find these at Target, because they don’t have any dimethicone in them, which is hard to find, and they are fragrance free, which is also very hard to find in a mu removing wipe. So the ingredients looked good, and I hoped these would work out but unfortunately they were an epic FAIL.
The first thing I noticed when I took one out of the package, was that it was super dry! I said, “Really???!” when I felt it, because you can barely even tell that it was damp, it was so dry. Because it’s so dry, you have to wipe it over your face a lot to get anything on it, which is the opposite of what you want to do if you have sensitive skin!
So the second thing I noticed, was the texture of these is very poor. It feels like a paper towel, NO JOKE. I don’t know what they were thinking when they chose this tissue. They are very rough. In fact, in some makeup remover wipes I’ve tried, there is an exfoliating side, and a soft side, but with this tissue, it was much more rough than even the exfoliating sides of other mu remover wipes I’ve tried. Not cool. I don’t like to feel like I’m rubbing my face with a barely damp paper towel.
These also left my skin flaky and rough feeling instead of soft. (Though not irritated, tight, or red thankfully).
So in case you couldn’t tell, I won’t be buying these again.

I always buy these cleansing wipes, they do the job and they’re always on offer! I’m not saying they’re the best out there but they’re good if you are on a budget; they remove makeup, clean your face well and leave you feeling refreshed. I have quite sensitive skin and they’ve never caused any irritations. However they sometimes leave my skin feeling a little dry and the packaging could be improved, the sticky tab sometimes doesn’t work which means the wipes dry out a little.

Simple Wipes, you retain my custom yet again because Boots have turned me into a leper. They have!
Firstly, the packaging. It’s average. Nothing special, nothing obnoxious. Just your typical wipes package. It’s too clinical looking to look nice on a shelf, so if you enjoy looking like a leper it’s best to put them away.
The smell is luckily absent because I get stabby when fragrance free wipes smell. The wipes aren’t particularly soft but they don’t scratch your face like the some brands. They have just the right amount of wetness on them too. Oh, they seemed so promising!
However, Boots have cleverly created something to give them more custom. One brief wipe will get you returning to the pharmacy for creams, lotions and potions to get rid of the spotty, flakey, ugly skin that the toxic wipes have on them. You may have gathered that I had a slight skin reaction to these evil things. I used them twice, on two consecutive nights. They removed the makeup fairly well, stinging slightly around my eyes. I had no itching until the second day when I realised I had a whitehead the size of Godzilla on my chin. I get the odd spot but nothing the size of this beast since my teenage years. After washing my face I realised the amount of skin I had flaking away. I looked like I had facial dandruff. Later in the day, the skin flaking got itchy and I scratched it. This may not be Boots’ fault but I wouldn’t have been itchy if not for their alcohol impregnated Wipes of Leprosy. It took 2 weeks for my skin to return to its usual state.
If you want the Wipes of Doom and Leprosy, buy these. They are cheap and always available! If, on the otherhand, you like your skin then you should buy Simple Wipes. They come with a “We won’t melt your skin off” money back guarnatee. Probably.

The best cleansing wipes I’ve used (for slightly dry, delicate skin). Repurchased many many times. Used as travel wipes too. Better than the No. 7 4-in-1 or Botanics Sensitive Skin ones.
Now, I’m not asking much of a wipe: that it should clean my face, without scratching or irritating it, and do so fast (certainly faster than actually washing my face properly of an evening).
The nearest comparable ones I’ve used have been by Simple and Nivea. The only softer ones, actual baby wipes (unfragranced again, by various manufacturers) – except they don’t always clean the face as well, and may interact negatively with Time Of The Month skin.
Also, these are the cheapest wipes that Boots make. The Expert range seems to be in process of replacing good old Fragrance Free, with little difference in formula but an increase in price. Their wipes are also good – mainly as near-identical to these…
One negative: packaging – the plastic tab closure is poor.

My HG cleansing product. I had been using these wipes for a while, and for some reason decided to try other types of cleansers. My skin reacted quite badly to most other products (either through redness or blocked pores and spots) so I am now back to these wipes, and will not be bothering with other cleansers again! There are approx 30 wipes per pack, and they are very cheap, plus always on offer at Boots. Although they are not specifically targeted as being for oily/spotty skin, they do not cause me any problems with blocked pores. They are also suitable for sensitive skin, being fragrance free and hypo-allergenic. They remove every trace of my make-up, including waterproof mascara, making my skin soft and clean, without leaving any residue or drying it out. As with most packs of wipes, the first few cloths tend to be drier as the product filters through to the wipes below. I counteract this by storing the packs upside down, to try and restore the balance. Although this is such a basic product, it is now an essential part of my everyday skincare routine, so I will definitely be repurchasing.
