This is a great cleanser. The corresponding toner is also amazing. I have really oily skin. First of all, there’s no facial cleanser that will completely solve your oil problems, since a cleanser is only on your skin for a short period. This cleanser does a good job rinsing my face of makeup and oil and my face is nice and matte after cleansing. This doesn’t last very long on my face unfortunately. But I didn’t expect it to be a magical cleanser and somehow keep my face completely matte all day after it’s washed off.
It does take oil and makeup away without stripping my skin. In fact, there’s some ingredient in this facewash that makes my skin so soft and for real – actually makes my pores appear smaller. My skin has never been nicer using this facewash and the toner. I still have issues with oil after a few hours but I do feel it’s much less than I normally have. And this facewash helped cleared up my clogged pores and acne.
Overall it’s one of the best cleansers I’ve used. It’s not a miracle worker for oil – you will have to find a good matte primer to stay matte all day, but it does give you a good clean oil-free start in the morning (and night) without being overly drying and harsh on your skin.

Sweet peppermint candy scent. Doesn’t dry out or strip skin. Highly irritates my sensitive skin. And not a fan of the mucus like gloopy texture. I’m going back to the African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser which doesn’t irritate, and has a more pleasing scent and feel (in my opinion).

This has a really lovely peppermint smell and comes out in a fairly thick cream gel. It lathers well and I can wash around my eyes without any irritation. It does a good job of washing your face. Good solid cleanser from Ole Henriksen.
