I was so disappointed with this one as I really wanted to love it based on the reviews. I have always bought Vichy’s and LRP’s cleansing waters- and will now go back to them, but wanted to try something different including purchasing Darphin’s.
At first application, it smelt very chemical and off and it was quite harsh and heavy, not very soothing or gentle. What a shame, and I bought the 400mls bottle with a pump dispenser.
It did take off any left over residue very well, but would not re purchase. I doubt I will even use it, only if I’m ever left without.

It’s very gentle, but doesn’t remove makeup well. I prefer a micellar water that can do both.

I have purchased three bottles of this micellar cleansing water. I have not tried Bioderma’s version, but I have tried Nuxe’s version with rose water and highly refer Roc’s neutral scent. I often spritz my face with mineral water first (but you could use tap water, or no water) and then apply this with a cotton pad to my face. It’s the perfect cleanser for days when I haven’t worn heavy makeup and just need a light refresher before bed (though it’s strong enough to remove non-waterproof eye makeup). It has never caused even a hint of sensitivity or irritation to my skin, and I imagine that it would be perfect for those with sensitive skin. In Canada it can sometimes be found at great sale prices at Shopper’s Drug Mart… stock up!

Great Product. I use Micellar water to cleanse my face instead of wipes as I really hate the cost and expense of the wipes. A swap led me into Micellar waters and now I have tried Bioderma, both kinds, Nuxe, Caudalie, Yves Rocher, Avene and this one. I have completely normal skin that gets a bit oily as the day wears on but I never have any break outs. This one was purchased in Canada at the urging of the Shoppers Drug Mart beauty dept and I am so glad they did as this is now my 2nd favorite after Nuxe.
In comparison to the others above, this is the most gentle with no scent to it. It does an amazing job cleansing and much better than Bioderma (both kinds). I get so much off that I am thinking about changing my cleanser:). I use it mostly in the am before putting on makeup as it is really nice to remove all the oils from sleeping. When I use it after cleansing off my makeup it really does a fabulous job getting every bit off.
The large size comes with a pump that I am so in love with. 1 to 2 pumps is all I need so there is no wasted product. I will probably keep it to use with others. I think it is 400ml so Its huge and only $24 Can.
Notes**do not think you can take makeup off with it, cause it will fail. These are not meant for this. ***Use it on the really big cotton pads, the smaller ones or balls will never allow the product to work right.

Very nice Micellaire water, I like this one more then Bioderma because that was to drying on my skin. I have dry/eczema sensitive skin and this did not irritate my skin at all. It also good in removing mascara but I only use non waterproof so I don’t need something heavy. I got the big bottle with the pump (400ml) and it lasted me almost 6 months, price is reasonable and it’s also available in a smaller version. I like the pump bottle but towards the end it’s harder to get the product out, other than that I would recommend this product! Ingredients: Aqua, Methyl Gluceth-20, Polysorbate 20, Butylene Glycol, Allantoin, Copper Gluconate, Magnesium Aspartate, Zinc Gluconate, Panthenol, Polaxmer 184, Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Sodium Methylparaben, DMDM Hydantoin, Sodium Ethylparaben, Sodium Propylparaben, Phenoxyethanol.

I bought a bottle of this just out of curiosity because a few friends swear by it, my personal favourite is the No7 Beautfiul Skin Cleansing Water but this is just as good. It really does feel comforting to the skin, and removes any trace of makeup left. I use this every single morning instead of using a facial cleanser because it just helps keep my skin really moisturized. At night, i like to use this before my night facial cleanser and after i remove all my face makeup with coconut oil. I still like my no7 better so i prob wouldnt buy this again but it is a good product.

My HG cleansing water. I can only compare this with the popular bioderma crealine/sensibio and I prefer this. I find this to be extremely gently yet cleansing. It leaves my skin smooth and happy. I don’t even need to apply moisturizer after using this in the morning or evening. This has basically replaced my face wash routine. I currently live in the Netherlands where this is easy to get a hold of but I haven’t seen it much in other countries (might have to stock up?!). I payed about 17 euros for a 400 ml bottle, comparable to bioderma I believe.
The 400 ml bottle comes with a pump dispenser, getting out just the right amount, whereas the 200 (or 150?) ml bottle has a little hole on top.
UPDATE: Still using this 2 years later, and wish it was more widely available.
