I was so happy with this cleanser once I got it. At first it felt really nice, it seemed I had no problem with it…Unfortunately, after using it for a couple of weeks (I washed my skin only once a day, every day), I’ve noticed that my skin was sensitized, even more dry, the skin barrier was damaged (rashes appeared) and it looked uglier than it was before. Dr. Sam claims it’s not drying and super gentle, however, it does dry out your skin, you can feel it really well, especially if you don’t put moisturizer right after cleansing your face. I believed her skincare line was my HG, but after using it for awhile I started disliking it ‘cuz it’s ruining my face skin. Yes, the cleanser is kinda affordable, but the shipping costs an arm and a leg… So it does not worth it.

This cleanser is great! Very simple, does its job and it reminds me of the Cerave cleansers but it costs more and has less. The reason why I’m not repurchasing the cleanser again is because I almost paid $30 because I ordered from the U.S. But I’m definitely glad I tried it, I really enjoyed the texture and even though I prefer cleansers with a little foam and this one doesn’t foam at all, the thick gel cream like consistency felt great. I have combo skin with some acne and it did not affect me negatively.

If you like Glossier MJC you will LOVE this cleanser. It’s a lot cleaner than Glossier’s formula: no scent, no irritants, same cleansing agent (contact lens solution) and crystal clear. No residue and no dryness. This cleanser, like Glossier’s MJC, does *not* foam. It’s a comforting, thick gel that removes everything. No need to double cleanse rinses perfectly clean. I love Dr. Sam Bunting’s Flawless cleanser most for one simple reason: what’s not in there. I personally do not need actives or essential oils in my face wash, I don’t want it to foam and strip my skin and I do not want fragrance.
I have been using this and the companion moisturizer for about 3 months and I can say with confidence I am very happy with both ( will review moisturizer soon)

*Update* After some time, I found that this cleanser both dried my skin out but did not clean it effectively enough. I am a cook and work over a greasy stove. I guess this cleanser just isn’t for me. The drying was likely due to the film the cleanser leaves (there are copolymers in the formula at 10% at least) and I tend to react to such things being left on my skin. I stopped using it altogether. Will not repurchase.
