This is my morning cleanser. I apply the oil and leave it on for 5 minutes while I prepare my morning coffee. It doesn’t leave my skin dry.

This stuff is amazing. I never tried a cleansing oil before this. I was using Neutrogena makeup remover wipes and then the Simple Micellar Water to get off what the wipes didn’t take off. Even after that, I would always wake up with mascara under my eyes. This takes off my makeup in about 2 minutes, including all of my mascara, and doesn’t irritate my eyes. It smells a little bit citrusy to me, but not overpowering. It has a very convenient pump. I’m not sure why it’s marked with $$$ because I bought mine at Ulta a couple weeks ago for around $8. However, it’s not on the Ulta website anymore so maybe that’s because they were getting rid of them? If so, I’ll be super sad because I love it. Also, it’s cruelty free, which is a huge plus for me.
Take this part with a grain of salt because I’m not sure if using this product caused this, but I think it did. I broke out a lot on my chin a month or two ago, and the breakout is gone, but I have a few stubborn marks left over. After using this for about a week (just at night to take my makeup off), I saw those marks starting to fade. They’re not anywhere near gone, but they’re less pigmented and noticeable. Again, I’m not sure if this product caused that, but I thought it might be worth mentioning.
A+!

These is a great cleansing oil! It removed all of my makeup and rinsed clean. I wanted to give this 5 lippies, but my skin is so sensitive. It ended up drying my skin out… and left it feeling somewhat irritated. This is odd, since it is a cleansing oil. It felt tight after I used it. But again, I have very sensitive skin! I think if you have normal/dry skin that is NOT sensitive, this would be a home run! It was highly fragrant, albeit natural, which I think was part of the culprit as to why this did not work for me. Try it though…I’ve tried so many and this is one of the better formulations.

I love this stuff!!
I use this to remove my makeup at night, and then i go in with a light cleanser afterwards to really get all the makeup off. I have used it just by itself and that seems to work ok as well! I can tell that this stuff is really improving the look of my skin: less dry patches, less breakouts, more ‘plump’. This cleansing oil may be my miracle skin product!!

This cleanser left my skin feeling a bit tight and the fragrance kind of lingers if you like that. This did cleanse well & rinsed nice. I don’t believe this caused me any breakouts. I am going to return this though!

F-I-N-A-L-L-Y. My perfect cleansing oil! I was beginning to think that cleansing oils just didn’t work for me; before buying this one from Eclos, I had never been able to find one that rinsed completely clean and didn’t clog up my pores or irritate my eyes.
This oil smells great (a soothing, herbaceous scent) and removes every trace of makeup from my face. Best of all, when I rinse my face, it feels CLEAN afterwards! No oily film whatsoever… it’s practically squeaky. Unlike with every other oil I’ve tried, I don’t feel any need to follow this up with a second cleanser. It simplifies my routine and my skin looks/feels the best it ever has.
I bought mine during a buy-one-get-one-50%-off sale at Ulta, bringing the (already totally reasonable) price of $12.99 a bottle down to just under ten dollars a bottle, which is an absolute steal. I’m totally wowed by this formula, especially for an accessible drugstore product. Can’t recommend it enough!

Over the years I have tried several cleansing oils, trying to find one as good as DHC for less money. I had high hopes for this one, but it doesn’t pass the test. For me, the only thing I don’t like about DHC is that it can be a little stripping on my dry skin at times. Otherwise it’s perfect. Anyway, this Eclos oil will not replace DHC in my book. It has a pleasant herbal smell (although unscented really is best for most things IMO). It cleans ok but definitely does not remove 100% of my mascara. It also leaves a touch of filmy feeling after rinsing, which I can alleviate by removing with a washcloth, but I still feel like maybe I need to double-cleanse with this product. The good thing is that this “film” means it doesn’t feel stripping, and some drier-skinned people may like that. But I can’t get past the fact that it doesn’t remove ALL my makeup like DHC, with which I do not need any other removers or to double cleanse. To me, finding mascara still remaining on my eyes is a deal-breaker, so although this oil has some nice qualities and a good price, I won’t repurchase.

I love using this cleansing oil. It feels luxurious and the smell reminds me of spa facials although I’m rarely offended by the smell of product. If you prefer unscented products the smell may bother you.
It does a good job of removing all my makeup. I usually massage it into my face for a minute or so before removing with a facecloth. The pump dispenser is great – really quick and easy.

I love it for removing makeup without stripping my skin, but here’s the kicker: My teenage son loves this because it has pretty much controlled his oil and tamed his acne.
Yep, you heard me. My son struggled with moderate acne and was prescribed the usuals: BHA toners and Retin-A. He hated those, because they made his skin sensitive and red. What you don’t use can’t help, so his acne worsened.
I also bought him cleansers recommended by his derm, for a pretty penny, but he still had pretty constant acne. Then we ran out of the cleanser and he started using mine (I didn’t know). One day I noticed that his skin was remarkably clear and even-toned. That’s when he ‘fessed up.
He still gets the occasional pimple, but I can’t tell you how much better his skin looks.
And yes, it smells nice and removes makeup well. Win win win.

So of course DHC is my HG for a cleansing oil but I’m sick of paying close to $30 for it. I’ve been on the hunt for cheaper alternative for a while. I tried Garnier which was horrible and I ended up throwing about half the bottle away. I read a few reviews of Eclos and figured it wouldn’t hurt to give it a try. I love that I can just walk into Ulta use a coupon and buy it for around $7. It’s not quite as thick as DHC but it rinses clean and the smell is decent. I always use a follow up cleanser when using any cleansing oil but I could see people with drier skin using only this. I like this enough that I’m through with ordering from DHC. 🙂
