I got this for $19 at TJ Maxx as I have always wanted to try the brand but have never wanted to shell out the money for it. I absolutely love the cleanser, it makes my face feel so soft. You do need to wash a couple times to get the makeup completely off, and I’d still suggest using makeup remover. But my texture is much smoother using this so it’s worth it!

This is an excellent creamy milky cleanser with a fluid consistency.
Although it might not be the most effective at removing make-up, it is an excellent relipidizing product for dry, sensitive and/or sensitized skin.
Actually, it is an excellent choice for people with eczema-prone skin too. (Although ideally it should be fragrance-free.)
It can be used as part of a double-cleansing routine when skin needs more nourishment during the colder time of the year or when skin is dry or generally feeling upset.
This emulsion will not clog pores or cause acne and suitable for all skin types.

I had to swap my tubes of this off. I don’t like it.
It smells nice, and I thought it had a nice creamy texture, but it didn’t really clean my face very well and it left behind a slick film (which I imagine is a moisturizer?).
I think it would probably be ideal for dry skin, but as an oily/normal complexion, I honestly just find it to be a bit too hydrating.

Although I love Shiseido’s products, this one I unfortunately returned after one week of use. Even the SA remarked about how red my eyes were and how I seemed to be having an allergy at the time. It was all due to the introduction of this product to my skincare regime. Twenty-four hours after stopping usage of this and going back to my regular Shiseido routine, my skin is back to normal, my eyes are no longer tearing and my allergy is gone.
I normally use their cleansing foam products and have absolutely no problems with them. I decided to try the emulsion because at times I want to tissue off my make-up per se, or use a more emollient way of cleansing my skin. I’d always been hesitant and I should have listened to my intuition. I used it as suggested, and rinsed it off well with tepid water.
My face did feel clean, not squeaky clean, like I’m used to. But it did feel soft. The next morning I noticed a small red blotch on my cheek that was slightly raised. I used my regular cleanser from Shiseido. At night again, I cleansed with the emulsion. Again in the morning, more blotches and my eyes were teary. Not a good sign. I stopped using it for a few days. I tried again a few days later to see what would happen, and sure enough, red eyes and the beginnings of red cheeks again. So surely not a product for me.
Everything else in my regimen stayed the same with my Shiseido line, except for the emulsion cleanser, so I had to conclude that something in it wasn’t beneficial for my skin. I really like their foaming cleansers anyway, so I’ll stay with that type.
The emulsion came in a pump type bottle that was very easy to use and handle. It would have been nice to have on my vanity for lazy nights of cleansing my face, because it does remove make-up well. Pretty bottle, too. Oh well, on to searching for one that I can use as a tissue-off cleanser and like.
Having a quick reaction like that was enough for me to realize what product caused it since I had introduced only one new one into my skincare. I won’t play games with my skin and continue to see what else might happen. The red eyes, tearing, blotchiness and bumps were enough for me. I still swear by Shiseido and Oriental/Asian skincare companies. I like their products and feel they know what they’re doing in the science of skincare. But you don’t know unless you try.

Unfortunately this made my skin break out.

I accidentally bought this instead of the foam version, and at first was horribly upset. Its a good product however the price is probably crazily over inflated like most of shiseido products, i bought mine online so it was alot cheaper. I don’t find any oily residue after using this wash, although i prefer my washes to foam, it just feels like its cleaning more if it foams… it might just be me thats the issue here. Anyhow very moisturising, i tried it out on my hand first (just to test whether it was a fake) it left my hand so soft, and i have very dry hands cus of my over-zealous use of antibacterial handwash. overall great product for people with dry skin. For me however im making sure i buy the foam next time, the foam has tiny beads and more suited to oily and combination skin types.

This cleanser is rich. I started to have dry skin and most cleanser left my face tight after cleansing and this cleaner is great for my dry skin. But it very expensive$35 before tax but I can’t find any cleanser that better than this one yet(at least for me). Yes well buy again. Doesn’t leave any greasy residue rinse or tissue off. I perfer rinse off. I love the smell of this cleanser as well. I used 2 pumps twice a day, tone, and moisturize after. I well buy this product again. It also didn’t cause breakout for me.Update: 3/01/12 Have been using everyday since the day I bought this I have great result with this product still doesn’t cause breakout. I notice with this cleanser I have not have pimple the big one that painful but I’m not acne-prone I do have 2-3 big one monthly sometime not thing. I love it so much will see how long the bottle last and I will update more.

Pros:
-creamy
-removes makeup efficiently without having to tug on skin
-great smell
-leaves skin soft
Cons:
-expensive
I use this to remove makeup then I use a foam cleanser to wash off the oily film. If my skin didn’t break out from excess oil, I’d skip the foamy cleanser. I love how my skin feels after I use this and before I wash it off.

I’ve used Benefiance Creamy Cleansing Emulsion for 15 years, and although I’ve tried to find something cheaper that I like, I’ve not been successful. I have very sensitive and dry skin, and other cleansers tend to leave my face tight after rinsing, or just not clean. But not this one. My face feels clean (never greasy or oily in the least), but maybe it’s the way I use it that accomplishes this. I always apply it to my dry skin and then use a cotton pad to rinse, bathing it off with lukewarm-to-cool running water. I recall one time using ‘much’ warmer water and instead of it rinsing off, it stuck to my face like grease. But I’ve found this same phenomenon with many other cleansers also. So, my rule anymore (regardless of what cleanser I’m using) is to rince/bathe with lukewarm-to-cool water. This cleanser is amazing though, so if there’s anyone who has tossed it aside because it felt too heavy, maybe they could try using it the way I described to see if it makes a difference. I hope this helps:)

One of more gentler cleansers that is perfect for this time of the year. I use this on clean face and I like to let the rich emulsion sit for a minute or two before washing it off. My dry maturing skin love this, perfectly readies my face for treatments at night and makeup in the morning. Thinking of ordering another bottle so I would not run out this winter.
