I’m dubious of any brand that gets a lot of online coverage. Especially when that coverage is predominantly through social media and so-called ‘beauty influencers’. This was the case with the YourGoodSkin range, but when Boots had a 3 for 2 offer on the range, I thought I would give it a go to see if all the ‘rave’ reviews were really justified.
Turns out they weren’t. Or at least not where this cleanser is concerned. It’s nothing special at all. Just a standard cleanser, similar to other gel cleansers I’ve tried. Although the claims it makes sound impressive – formulated with green tea, vitamin C and Bisabolol – I genuinely couldn’t tell the difference from other cheaper versions I’ve used.
Credit where credit’s due, this didn’t break me out or make my skin react badly. But it didn’t do anything outstanding either. It certainly didn’t make my skin ‘look healthy’ or ‘feel instantly nourished’ as claimed on the packaging.
