I purchased this cleansing milk this winter when I was really struggling with dry, irritated skin. This product serves the purpose of acting as a gentle cleanser that doesn’t strip moisture from my face. I only use this cleanser in the mornings; I don’t believe it’s strong enough to act as a makeup remover. Typically I will smooth it onto my face with no water, let it sit for about a minute, then gently wipe off with a warm, damp washcloth. When I was struggling with some sort of eczema flare up (cause undetermined, but possibly an allergic reaction to my Smashbox foundation) this would help to soothe the irritation on my face.

I literally just brought this for. What a Deal ! , i got it for 6 dollars since i was able to apply points from ulta. But the small bottle is still so generous for 12 dollars! I have mildly sensitive and mildly dry skin with some filaments and congestion in the t zone. I use retin-a and alternate between that and acids and the occasional sleeping mask, in the am i use bioderma sebum pore refiner on my t zone or something close o that. My skin and especially eyes became very dehydrated and irrated from cleaners that foam a lot, but i like to wear sunscreen, face makeup and liner and Japanese mascara which is notoriously difficult to remove, hence my dilemma i need something strong enough to cleanse without removing my moisture barrier on my face. Also i perfer to double cleanse, As far as makeup removers go, i perfer to alternate this with something else. I will use a cleansing balm first or a cleansing oil, then this it says to use on dry skin which i do, and i will give my face a final rinse with water because i feel funny not rinsing my face. I follow with a very hydrating toner like nooni hydrating toner or body shop vitiman e toner. Or i use this on light makeup takes and follow with a cleansing water. This hasn’t left my eye area tight or dry or irritated and while the first few minutes i use this it does feel like a little bit of a film left on my skin that feeling quickly goes away. I love to use shu umera cleansing oil – in sublime or the yellow original depending on my skin, and follow up with this. Or vice versa. Don’t expect this to remove heavy liner and eye makeup or heavy face makeup but as a second cleanse I really don’t mind it, my skin feels clean calm and moisturized . Other cleansers i use include : Dr hashuka cleansing cream, noxzema, La roche posay tolurene dry skin, bioderma cleansing water in the dry skin blue cap, shu umera, darphin cleansing balm, soap & glory cleansing milk, clarins shea foaming cleanser, nuxe honey non soap cleaner and cetaphil cleaner, shea moisture shea scrub, eucerin dermopuryfier ( in the midst of oily summer weather) I hope this doesn’t leave my skin congested because its so gentle and soothing. So far its a winner especially in this dry dry Colorado air, will update .

I too use this in the mornings to remove products from the night before, and I also use it evenings if I’ve been inside all day and haven’t worn makeup or sunscreen. It’s not a great makeup remover but you can’t beat it for a gentle non-drying cleanse. I like MB’s travel-friendly containers too.

I use this cleanser strictly in the morning as a quick and gentle wash to get my moisturizers from the previous night off my skin. I think this works very well as a simple cleanser – it cleans your face nicely and doesn’t strip your skin and leave it feeling tight.
I’ve tried to use this as a first cleanse/makeup remover, but it doesn’t do that great of a job. A lot of makeup was still on my face even after using this, so I use avocado oil now to get that job done (which works TONS better).
The dispenser top does get the tiniest amount of oil residue on it, but nothing major. You also don’t need to use a lot of product (unless you’re trying to take makeup off), which is nice! The bottle can last you a decent amount of time.

I love this product!!! It’s what I had hoped for while using cetaphil and cera ve cleansers when I first started experiencing break outs. I read that cetaphil and cera ve were “gentle cleansers” that wouldn’t strip my sensitive, acne-prone skin. They worked fine, not great, but the Mario Badescu cleansing milk is amazing. I firstly remove my eye make up and foundation, lip product gently with an oil in massaging motions followed by wiping off with a baby wipe until there is no more visible residue, then I splash my face with luke warm water than gently glide across the surface of my skin in circular motions for about 5 minutes. Yes, 5 whole minutes, focusing around the perimeter of my face where debris spread out while cleansing and around my nostrils, lips, chin indent, t-zone and I don’t have to worry about it being too harsh. It’s so milky it melts it all away without leaving that uncomfortable, over-washed feeling I usually get with sudsy cleansers. I splashing my face (never rub or drag), about 30 times I splash clean then go in with the mario badescu enzyme cleansing gel which I will also do a review on. My only con to this product would be that you need quite a bit of product to really melt down your make up because it turns into literal milk on wet skin. But also it isn’t badly priced so it doesn’t hurt to bad to not use sparingly like more pricey cleansers. Will be picking up a new bottle before this one runs out because I love it so much.

Love! My mom says every woman has a “skincare line” meaning, their are certain brands that just work better than others for your skin (my mom’s is Clinique, my yiayia’s is Lancome…) and after noticing the increased dryness in my cheeks and the fine lines around my eyes become more apparent, I thought it was about time to step up my skin game and find my skincare line. After browsing around a couple of sites and taking stock of what I was currently using, I settled on Mario Badescu and bought this along with the Glycolic Acid Toner and the Oil-Free SPF Moisturizer and think I’ve found my skincare line.
Skin Type: Combo-Dry, Sensitive & Acne-prone, with the occasional cystic breakout.
Starting Date: Nov. 1st 2014
Pros: Definitely helps keep moisture in my dry skin without a filmy feeling, just soft, and no ANIMAL TESTING!!
How I use it: After my makeup remover (rosewater and almond oil), I apply this right on top of my MU remover, massaging it throughly into my skin and then, with a soft dry face towel, wipe it away for soft clean skin. I like to finish my ritual with the Glycolic Acid Toner
Cons: If you were very light makeup, this might remove it off throughly but if you’re like me and wear concealer, powder & blush, it might be best to use a makeup remover or do a double wash.

I don’t think I use this cleanser the way most people would, but for how I use it, I love it.
I use it in the morning, instead of my more heavy duty Kiehls Amazonian Clay scrub. I like it becuase it cleans off the oil my skin produces at night without making my face red from exfoliating.
First, I generously spray my face with Avene thermal water. I squirt a dime sized amount of the cleanser into my hand and then massage my face in an upward motion with the cleanser. I spray my face again with the thermal water, then lightly rub the cleanser off with a towel. Then I tone, serum, and SPF as usual.
Perfect!

I had such high hopes for this cleanser. My skin is dry, sensitve and prone to blackheads. This cleanser left such a film on my skin, my skin felt like it couldn’t “breathe”. I even tried using a wet baby wash cloth to remove the cleanser but that didn’t seem to help. I will not repurchase.

This was a terrible cleanser for my skin. It left a film which no amount of rinsing would take off and then it made my skin sting for hours afterwards whenever I used it. Ive never experienced such a horrid sensation before with a cleanser! Binned!

Very gentle for reactive skin work really well with the aloe toner.
