I love this. I bought it on sale a few months ago (probably clearing out because it has been discontinued) and it removes my makeup better than anything I have ever used. It takes off my colorstay foundation no problem and all eye makeup. My face also had the occasional breakout which has stopped completely, probably because it removes my makeup completely compared to my old cleanser whih did not. I would buy this forever if it wete available. Now I have to figure out what other cleansers are comparable 🙁

I LOVE this product. I did struggle to use the product at first, so I decided to use a empty foam dispenser from BBW (Bath and Body Works) and it works perfectly. It got all of the oils that bugged me. It works better than the other stuff that targets combination skins but still leave my face (especially my eye area which is usually the worst) still oily. Now I can’t find any to restock, but if I do, I’m buying 2-3 more bottles.

It cleaned my face OK but the packaging is the worst part of it. I was got so frustrated the first night I used it. I’ll use it up but I definitely won’t buy it.again. I bought it on sale at Walgreens. I wonder if they’re not selling it anymore.

I picked this up because it was on sale and I had a coupon, so it was only $2.49 for 6.7 oz. I have to say that at first I thought I was losing brain cells because I couldn’t get the product out or the pump to work… and then I thought the bottle was broken. Finally I read the label and realized that you have to pull up the nozzle and squeeze the bottle–it’s not a pump at all. That that was weird. And awkward when your hands are wet, so points off for that design. It comes out of the bottle as a foam, but when you rub it onto your skin, the lather disappears. Also weird. I have oily skin so I like that squeaky-clean feeling that products like Neutrogena provide, and this does give me that. Also, it claims to remove makeup, but you can’t use it on your eyes, so…. you have to use a remover anyway. Smell is mild & neutral. Not a bad product, but not that good either. Will not repurchase.

Another drugstore hit!
I have a big family. A big family full of strong ladies that I’ve always looked up to. I remember being 7 years old and having a weekend trip to the lake house with my entire family; what I really remember is staying up late with my cousins and giving each other makeovers. One night, after our adventures with out mothers makeup products, I decided to use my teenage cousins Garnier face wash to take all the gunk off my face. Unfortunately, the next morning I woke up with a rash on my face… a rash so bad that I had to run to the ER.
16 years later, I’m still too traumatized to try any Garnier products. As I peruse the face wash aisle at my local Superstore, my eyes immediately settle on the new Garnier foam wash which is on sale for $5.19 CAD (what a strange price …right?) PLUS it has a $2 manufacturers coupon attached. At only $3.19, I couldn’t NOT try this; “besides..” I thought, “it’s only potentially a trip to the ER..” 🙂 Thankfully that wasn’t the case this time around.
Cons:Lets just get the one bad thing out of the way..
1)Packaging/foaming quality: The packaging on this is really strange. Originally when I bought this I thought it would have a normal pump like all products, plus, I thought the “foamer” would just be built into the pump (like BBW soaps). The packaging is very strange; you need to actually squeeze the product out by squeezing the top of the bottle which then makes the product become a foam. How this happens, I’m not sure (magic?) but it’s just sort of stupid…sorry Garnier. I don’t have a problem squeezing, but the issue is that the product doesn’t always foam up; sometimes it just comes out as a liquid, in which case I just say ” **** it, I’m using something else..”. I’m not sure why they made this product this way, as a normal pump would have worked 100X’s better. Plus, my mom has arthritis in her wrist and has a very difficult time dispensing this product.
**Tip: Make sure the bottle/product has been sitting undisturbed for a while. I noticed whenever I would take this in my gym bag, etc. and it would be moving around, the product always came out as a liquid. So make sure you don’t shake it!
Pros:
1)Claims: Initially what drew me to this product was one specific claim: “removes makeup.” I’m not well versed when it comes to face products ( I usually stick to the products my skin loves), so this was the first time that I’ve seen this claim on any product. So does it remove makeup? YES. So well. When I initially used this, my makeup was caked onto my face for about 10 hours and I thought “no way is this removing anything””. Even during the process I felt like nothing was coming off. When I took a white towel to my face to pat the water off, I was amazed!! No makeup!! This reminds me almost of a lotion cleanser; once the foam starts to breakdown the makeup, the foamy-ness is gone.
2)Tightness: Or rather lack of. I have oily skin, but have to use harsh cleansers to take my makeup and oil off. Needless to say, my skin is often feeling very tight and dry and I get white patches of dry skin around my mouth. After I used this I couldn’t even tell that I had just used a face wash. Honestly, oil cleansers have left me more dry and irritated. This just simply cleansed my face; no harsh feeling, dryness, or irritation. What a change.
3)Price: Like I said $3.19 CAD..enough said. BUT, at regular price this is about $7.99. Still, that’s not unreasonable.
4)Formula: In the long-run, this product has not irritated or broken me out at all, in fact, my skin has never looked better. The lychee-like smell of this product is DEVINE; it’s a wonderful pick me up in the morning. My bf used this on his back one day to combat some acne. The next day, he ran downstairs to show me the results and BAM! no more acne!! This is absolute magic: any time i feel a pimple is about to have a party on my face, I simply wash my face with this and I’m good to go. The product itself is a luxurious foam, but like I said previously, if not used properly it can come out as a liquid. Even as a liquid it works well, but of course not AS well. This formula is one of the best I have tried for fighting acne.
Overall: Not only has this product restored my faith in Garnier, but it gives me hope in believing that there ARE actual genuine products out there that do what they claim! With summer coming up, I think this is a great product as it leaves your skin feeling fresh and deeply cleaned. Plus, the smell is great aromatherapy to lift up your mood. Highly recommend this for ALL skin types (even mildly sensitive).
CLAIMS:
This lavish foam effectively cleanses and purifies skin without overdrying (YES). Skin appears less oily and refreshed (YES). Deeply cleans and removes makeup (YES).

I’m in the middle about this cleanser. I have combination skin so this was marketed towards me. I ran out of the cleanser I liked and it wasn’t at CVS so I just grabbed this about six weeks ago.
Pros: It only takes a little pump and its easy to control the amount you get out. It really does get down and clean your skin well. It also helped clear up a breakout I had a the time. The packaging is different, you don’t pump it, you squeeze the bottle but I actually like it.
Cons: It’s not always foamy sometimes the consistency is very watery. It’s also just a tad too drying my skin. It also hasn’t prevented breakouts.
I do like this cleanser, its just not an awesome one. I need something a little less drying. I do recommend this to someone with combination skin that is more on the oily side.

-gimmicky packaging makes very airy foam and a liquidy mess if you don’t use it right
(turns out the trick to prevent this from turning into a watery mess is to NOT shake the bottle, hold it upright and squeeze a quick but long squeeze. just one otherwise the “tail end” will start to turn all watery)
-feel like you have to use a lot of product
-while it does remove most face makeup, it doesn’t do a great job on eye makeup and your face never feels really “clean” and definitely not purified
-gets kinda sticky on your face as you rub it around.
-nice, fresh fragrance
-non-drying and non-irritating

didn’t care much for this product. it has a very watery consistency that seems to just run right off my hands/face. doesn’t do a very good job of removing makeup (i wear a full face- foundation, concealer, blush, everything), so i started breaking out a little bit.
it’s probably fine for morning use and/or for someone who doesn’t wear (much) makeup, but i won’t be repurchasing this.

I’ve purchased this product twice. It works well to remove foundation, however, when it comes to removing eye make-up, it does not perform too well. I also find that it dries out my skin after using it. I have to immediately put moisturizer on so my face does not feel dry and itchy. I do not think I will use it again. I used to use St. Ives Make-up Remover and Clenaser and just have not found anything that compares. I really miss that proudct

Gimmicky packaging. Terrible at lathering. Bad at cleaning makeup off your face. Leaves skin dry and tight. Burns eyes and essence tastes awful. Don’t buy this ever.
