Normally, I would not be a fan of a cream cleanser. Being that I have oily and acne-prone skin, it’s typically something I would avoid. Yes to Carrots Daily Cream Cleanser is the only cream cleanser that doesn’t break me out. I stopped using it for a long time, as I couldn’t find it anywhere. Fortunately, I managed to find a good deal on ebay, on a new bottle.
My skin has been more sensitive than usual lately, as I’ve noticed that I’ve been overdoing it with acids. I’ve slowed down on combining products, to let my skin heal. Instead, I am rotating nights that I use my different facial serums. And since I finally got my new bottle of Yes to Carrots CC, my skin seems a lot more balanced in terms of oil production. The formula used here is super soothing to my skin. I think it’s the castor oil, carrot seed oil, and pumpkin fruit extract.
I fully recommend Yes to Carrots daily cream cleanser for oily, acne-prone skin. Since it is free of coconut oil (unlike many cream cleansers), it doesn’t clog my pores. However, this product does not lather. Like others have noted, it’s a little like putting lotion on your face. Very moisturizing. Great to wash off Glycolic, Lactic Acid or Retinol Serums in the morning.
As a side note, for a squeaky clean kind of face wash that lathers, I would try Alba Botanica Acnedote Deep Pore Wash.

I love the Yes To Coconuts Cream Cleanser and wanted to see how this compares. Unfortunately, they are quite different. Yes To Carrots isn’t as moisturising as Yes To Coconuts. I’ve noticed my skin is drier. This isn’t to say Yes to Carrots is bad. It’s just not for me. It has a slippery consistency, almost like silicone. It can take some effort to wash off. I don’t find it irritating or over stripping. This doesn’t foam so if you use a cleansing device spread this over your face first. I would recommend this for sensitive skin (get the fragrance free version) or as a gentle cleanser for a normal to combo skin type. I will continue to purchase the Yes To Coconuts Cream Cleanser instead.

Just for the record, I bought the fragranced version of this product (I didn’t even know there was a fragrance-free one until reading other reviews on here). The scent is rather pleasant and isn’t too harsh. It smells like baby powder and the fragrance does linger on your skin for awhile after washing your face with it, so be wary of that if you’re sensitive to fragrances.
So, why only three stars you ask? It made my skin feel soft afterwards, but still made it feel a bit unclean. I had to use a generous amount just to feel like my face had been washed. This stuff doesn’t really lather either, as it has more of a cream-like consistency.
Overall, it’s an alright cleanser. I would recommend it to those who have sensitive skin as it seems to be quite gentle on the skin. I probably will not repurchase, as I don’t really notice any significant difference when using it. Certainly doesn’t seem to be doing a hindrance to my skin at all though, so I’ll probably continue use until I use all of the bottle or get another cleanser.
Edit: My face has been breaking out badly very recently. This is the only thing new I’ve been using, so I imagine that it’s the culprit. Will possibly edit further if I notice my skin clearing up upon ceasing use.

I’ve had this product for a week and so far I am really enjoying it. I needed a less expensive version of my Fresh Soy Cleanser and I really think I’ve found a good alternative. According to the ingredients list, the YTC Cleanser has ethylhexyl stearate which the FSC does not. That one ingredient does not affect my skin. FSC also has a few additional ingredients that YTC doesn’t have. I didn’t know this Cleanser came in a fragrance free version which is definitely the one I’ll purchase next time. The fragrance resembles a rich powder lotion scent. It goes away pretty quickly as you’re washing your face, but I’d much rather have the fragrance free version for next time. Also, this Cleanser doesn’t foam. It remains a creamy lotion-y texture. I’d recommend to try this, especially if you’re looking for a more “basic” Cleanser for a good price. I also only wear eye makeup daily so I’m not sure how effective this would be for someone who wears foundation daily. Hence why I prefer basic cleansers.

I didn’t realize there are fragranced and non-fragranced versions until after I bought this. The ingredients of the fragranced version are:
Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Disodium Cocoamphodipropionate, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Seed Oil*, Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Fruit Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Fragrance (Parfum), Ethylhexyl Stearate, Xanthan Gum, Potassium Sorbate. *Certified Organic Ingredient
I found the texture to be quite nice for days when my face tends more to the dry side. It is a smooth gel-cream, water soluble, however I used a microfiber cloth to remove it. The fragrance was overpowering and is completely inappropriate in this product–smells more like a scented body lotion than a healthy facial cleanser. Also, the formula stung while it was on my face, which doesn’t bode well for long term use. It is going back to the store.

This is nice but will make your skin extremely oily unless you have extremely dry skin. It has never caused any breakouts to my acne prone skin. It’s very creamy and I prefer foaming gel cleansers.

My holy grail cream cleanser is clean& clear 10% bp wash. If only they’d make a version without the bp and menthol, then I could just rotate between those two for the rest of my life. Since they don’t, this is the next best thing I’ve found. It’s gentle, it gives me a clean feeling, and you only need the tiniest bit to do your whole face. I like to blot with 50/50 acv and distilled water after using it. I use retina as well, but not every night. This stuff is perfect for mornings or evenings, especially after using retina. Great price considering how little is needed to clean your whole face, I use less than a pea size. Love the squeeze tube. Very happy with this purchase. I’m super acne prone with oily and somewhat dehydrated skin, but this stuff does not irritate or break me out. Again though, I use acv after, so perhaps that helps. It might leave a bit of a film if I didn’t.

Typically cream products work well with my skin so I wanted to try something new. This is very creamy and thick. It works best with warm water. While it did remove my makeup quickly and thoroughly, it really broke out my skin. I’m not super acne prone, but this did not agree with my skin. It is hard to rinse off and afterwards it left my skin feeling dry and a bit tight. I did notice around my mouth and bridge of my nose getting dry. My face also felt very rough after each which isn’t usually an issue for me since I have a good exfoliation routine. This cleanser just didn’t work for my skin. I will be going back to the CeraVe cleanser.

PROS
– gentle
– rinses easily
CONS
– does not remove makeup well
– a little drying
COMMENTS: Very emoillent formula, but so gentle that it doesn’t remove makeup very well. It also leaves skin a little dry.
Will not repurchase.

I recently tried this face wash and unfortunately, it did not agree with my skin. I used makeup wipes first and then the Yes to Carrots FRAGRANCE FREE daily cream cleanser. The packaging and amount of product is fine but the effectiveness is where it falls flat for me. The product is creamy and rich. When applying, it feels like you are rubbing beeswax on your face because it is very emollient. However, the rinsing part was the painful part . It rinsed away easily but also left some sort of waxy film on my face . It felt very rubbery and to the point of gummy. It’s strange because while rubbing it on my face, it was very rich and silky but after the rinse, my skin felt almost too squeaky. And the worst part, I had dry patches on my face. Very weird. I totally did not like that feeling. I admit, it cleansed my face of oils and impurities, but the after effect was not my cup of tea. Sorry, but this was a No to Carrots for me. For reference, my skin is oily but dehydrated and clog prone.
