This product definitely did not work for my combination skin as it was too thick and creamy and I could never manage to rinse it off my face. I bought it because in the winter I get sever dry patches on my checks and I thought this would help. Unfortunately, my skin would feel oily and clogged all day, even my dry patches. So you must be asking why did I give it three stars? Well, the ingredients are excellent, the scent is divine and if you actually have severely dry skin, this product is for you. This is the only cleanser my mom uses on her dry, dehydrated skin. So if you are oily or combination stay away but if you have dry skin, this is a keeper!

I love this cleanser. I use it at night and it removes face makeup like a dream. I remove eye makeup with a different product so I’m not sure how well it works for that. This is a moisturizing, cream cleanser that has a light fragrance. I wet my face, rub the cream all over and then wipe off with a damp wash cloth followed by rinsing. My skin adores this. I believe it’s been discontinued so I’ve stocked up on a few bottles. This is not for oily skin, imo. Perfect for dry skin and could work well for normal skin as well.

This is a more moisturizing cleanser. It smells fine, not particularly strong. It does remove makeup but I found I always had residue behind when I did toner. I bought this at Target on clearance and think the Yes line is mostly really overpriced so I won’t repurchase. It was an okay, gentle cleanser, definitely on the more moisturizing side and not for oily skin, I’d say.

Very disappointing – it smells lovely, goes on the skin beautifully and is a pleasure to massage in, leaves skin soft and looking radiant. Only one problem – it doesn’t remove make up! The first time I used this went over my face with lush rose water as I always do after cleansing my foundation was still there! Now I have to use it twice and always take off with a flannel instead of rinsing. As others have said – this is a ‘second cleanse’ product. But if washing your face 2+ times every night isn’t for you give this a miss – Good modern cleansers should take your make up off in one go and this just doesn’t.

Bought it because it’s cruelty free and the smell is quite pleasant (smells a bit like baby powder to me). The cleanser doesn’t foam and I felt like I needed to use a lot more than the other cleansers I usually use to wash my whole face because it doesn’t spread so well. It also feels like the cleanser has two parts, a water portion and an oil portion, and the more I rubbed it into my face the more the water portion disappeared. After I washed off the cleaner it felt like the water portion of the cleaner was washed off but the oil portion still remained. My face felt oily, and (the weirdest part) when I ran a nail over my face I scrapped off a white film. I used makeup remover + a facial scrub + my regular cleanser before using this product because I’ve heard that it leaves a ‘film’ over your face after use, and it does. I wouldn’t mind this product and would definitely buy it again if it didn’t leave the weird film at the end.

Used as directed, this lotion cleanser is absolutely useless. The back of the tube instructs you to apply with warm water. If you do that, the product will slip and slide off your fingers and into the sink. Instead, squeeze it out of the tube onto your dry hands and massage into your dry face. It’s not going to lather – but don’t worry, lather is so overrated. Rinse off with a damp washcloth.
This a gentle cleanser, as it states on the tube, and it’s not something that is going to remove makeup (it seems to do so for other reviewers, but I use long-wear foundation and waterproof eye makeup, so perhaps that makes the difference). Try using it in the morning when all you need to do is clean off last night’s moisturizer and whatever dirt and oil had built up. It works beautifully for that. A lot of other reviewers mention a weird residue, but I’m not getting that on my combo/oily skin.
It’s pretty expensive for a drugstore brand, but for me, it’s the scent that’s the deal-killer. It’s very cloying and powdery and I can smell it on myself for most of the day, which is bad because I can’t wear perfume with it. I’ll use up the tube because otherwise it’s an excellent product, but I’ll be on the hunt for another gentle a.m. cleanser.

This is the most aweful feeling oily mess i have ever had on my face. It feels like a mixture of sunscreen and mosquito spray and this is after the rinse.

A lot of people complain about how it doesn’t clean and leaves a film…This cleanser is not your usual wash off w water cleanser. First, you apply the creamy cleanser onto dry skin and then wash off with a warm damp cloth. This is how I use it and it washes off all of my makeup, soothes and brightens my skin. I have combination dry skin and this cleanser does not irritate it nor dry it out.

Yes to Blueberries Smoothing Daily Cleanser is a “gentle start to your skincare regimen, this creamy cleanser is formulated with apple, which is rich in powerful anti-oxidants and natural alpha hydroxy acids to help refresh and brighten skin, and lemon peel, a naturally derived cleanser to help sweep away dirt and grime and brighten the skin. Mmmm…clean, soft, nice.” This cleanse is 95% natural, and paraben, sulfate, and petrolatum free. I won a full sized 4.5 oz (127 g) bottle of the Smoothing Daily Cleanser in a giveaway. This cleanser regularly retails for around $10. Yes to is a cruelty free brand. This cream cleanser is made in America.
Yes to Blueberries Smoothing Daily Cleaner comes in a recyclable white squeeze tube with a flip top cap. The Yes to logo, product name, and some blueberries grace the front of the tube. Directions, a description, and information about the Yes to Blueberries line can be found on the back of the tube. The dispenser is really quite narrow, so coupled with the thick, creamy formula, it can be difficult to get a good amount of product out. Aside from that, I have no complaints about the packaging. I like Yes to’s packaging style in general.
Yes to Blueberries Smoothing Daily Cleanser is a thick, white cream cleanser. Both Dean and I have been using this as a nighttime cleanser for about a month and we’ve formed the same opinion on it – its nice but it hasn’t really benefited either of our complexions. Like most cream cleansers and sulfate free products, Yes to Blueberries Smoothing Daily Cleanser doesn’t lather, instead it thins out when it comes in contact with water, creating a light, milky substance. This cleanser is excellent for removing makeup – I barely need to use eye makeup remover. I find it it a little hard to tell when this cleanser is completely rinsed off. The Smoothing Daily Cleanser leaves my skin feeling very soft and moisturized. Honestly, after using this cream cleanser I don’t feel the need to use a moisturizer, I just tap in a little eye cream and head to bed. Yes to Blueberries Smoothing Daily Cleanser doesn’t irritate Dean’s sensitive skin, nor does it exacerbate his oiliness. This cleanser would likely be excellent for the dry and aging skin this and all Yes to Blueberries products are intended for. Yes to Blueberries products have an unpleasant scent in my opinion. I believe I previously descried it as a “metallic baby powder”. Dean famously described the scent as “smelling like diaper rash.”
I like Yes to Blueberries Smoothing Daily Cleaner. The creamy consistency is quite moisturizing and very effective for removing my makeup at the end of the day. That being said, I don’t think I’d repurchase the Smoothing Daily Cleanser, at least not for full price – it just doesn’t benefit my skin enough to justify it. If you have dry or mature skin this cleanser is worth checking out. Oily skins may want to avoid the Smoothing Daily Cleanser, it may be too rich for your skin. This is a good product, just not for me.

I like to give facial cleansers about two weeks to a month to see if they work- at their worst they take about two weeks to give me really angry break outs, or at their best it takes about a month for me to really notice any sort of difference.
I had used this every once in a while (once a month maybe) if I had run out of my normal cleanser at my boyfriend’s house. I ended up using it the entire weekend recently and liked that I didn’t have to moisturize after using it. I enjoyed the scent, and overall I was pleased. It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t terrible. I continued to use it daily. It doesn’t lather, but if you have a facial brush it is easy to wash with. I also like that the bottle is travel friendly.
What I didn’t like, was the fact that it made me break out terribly on the sides of my mouth about two weeks in. I do get the occasional pimple there, but this was AWFUL. I had at least six pimples. I would not recommend this to someone with oily skin, but perhaps to someone who has older skin or needs a sensitive wash. This wash was also not effective at removing make up (even with the brush).
