I used this product for years. I could only by it from a doctor..so I’m wondering if it still has to be from a doctor as I see the brand us sold in stores but I can’t find this particular one

I *love* this cleanser — it’s my new staple. After the first few times I used it (with my Clarisonic), I noticed an immediate difference in my skin — it seemed much more refined and smooth in texture and my pores seemed smaller (I know pores cannot really shrink, but they seemed cleaner and tighter overall). I was concerned that it might dry out my skin, but it hasn’t — its pH is close to that of skin, and it leaves it perfectly balanced. It works so well that I started to look for a backup, only to discover that La Roche Posay no longer makes it :(. However, I believe they sold the formula to SkinCeuticals — so it is still available under that brand name. I highly recommend trying this!

This BioMedic cleanser is now with the La Roche Posay line. I bought it thinking it would work like the Effacler (??) products because it is purported to be more medicated, etc. Nope. Like the other better. It’s ok-not an HG product but not bad either. It does have a strong medicated smell but other than that, it reminds me a lot of MB’s glycolic foaming wash.

Way too drying even for me and my skin is quite oily and breakout prone…caused bad bad irritation of my eyelids even when I tried avoiding my eye area during face washing…breakouts did not seem to subside either

This was recommended by my dermatologist and yea!!! I wash with it for about a minute and my skin feels sooooo soft! I got it in a package so I don’t know what it costs, but it was pricey. However, my dermatologist said that it should last 6 months, so it evens out.

Yes! I think I’ve found my HG cleanser (at least while the temperatures are hot). I’ve been using this for about a week along with the Conditioning Solution and I would say 90% of my blemishes are gone! I don’t have acne, but I always have tiny hard bumps on my chin, clogged pores and some blackheads. All of them are gone. I’m amazed. No burning, itching, rash, purging, nothing.
This just may be my HG brand…I also love the Anthelios 40 sunscreen. So far everything I’ve tried from this brand has exceeded my expectations and results I’ve gotten from brands that cost 4x as much.
I will say that I’ve been using the Estee Lauder new Advanced Night Repair in the AM and the Advanced Night Repair Concentrate in the PM (no moisturizer) and the RX for Brown Skin Radiance Serum in the t-zone every other night. I also have been using the LUSH Mask of Magnaminty every 3 days or so. My skin is very very happy.
I purchased mine on eBay (try the sample sizes first) but otherwise this line (the Biomedic line) is only available through dermatologists.

I love the fact this doesn’t have any soap in it and that it’s a ph of 5.5. My skin feels clean and not stripped dry. I love the fragrance of this cleanser as it’s super clean, light and fresh. I’d love to find a perfume that smells as good as this does. La Roche Posay has some really nice products.

This stuff is great. I love the clear cleanser and the way it feels when you’re rubbing it on your skin. Let it sit for about 45 seconds or so and it gets a little tingly which I love. When you wash it off it feels great.

I LOVE this cleanser. For years I dealt with breakouts and oily skin, I finally went to my dermatologist and bought the products from her office. This stuff has glycolic and salicytic acids and made a huge improvement in my skin. I used it twice a day, the trick is to massage on and let it sit on your skin for a full 30-60 seconds. The smell is also very pleasant, not like medicine at all. It’s clear and feels very pure going on your skin. It tightens my pores and really takes off all the makep – I follow up with the Conditioning Solution and you can’t see any makeup residue on the cotton pad. It will make you a little more sun sensitive so be sure to use sunblock.

oh yeah this is great stuff. so smooth and a little bit goes a loooong way which is good cause it is expensive. but i have also found it worth it. i have combo skin, very oily to very dry and this makes it look great.
