This is a very luxurious facial wash.
It’s very creamy and smells really nice – typical Shiseido scent, pleasant (kinda floral) but not too overpowering.
You only need a tiny amount of this as it creates a very rich foam, so this will last you for ages.
It contains some tiny beads, but I don’t feel them scrubbing the face – it’s more like some tiny particles that dissolve as you create the rich and creamy foam.
It leaves the skin squeaky clean, really does excellent job in extracting any impurities from your face.
While it cleans your skin perfectly – it also leaves it a bit too dry/tight, so that would be the only downside of this product and that’s why I gave it 4/5.
But you use the moisturizer after cleansing anyway – so problem solved 😉
I also really like the packaging, that shiny tube really looks and feels very luxurious but at the same time it’s simple and practical.

I’ve used an eye cream (Benefiance) and moisturizer (Bio-Performance Advanced Super Revitalizing) by Shiseido for years but I REALLY dislike this cleanser. It leaves a distinct film on my skin that no amount of rinsing removes. Within a few weeks that film that stays on my skin starts clogging my pores and makes my skin dull. So disappointing!

A pea size amount is all I need to make me feel like I have just washed my face with a bar of Irish Spring deodorant soap.
I first started using Shisedo Benefiance products about three years ago, I switched from Elizabeth Arden because I was bored and Shiseido offered some cool free samples. (Hey, honesty is the best policy – I will tell you like it is.)
The first time I used Shisedo Benefiance Extra Creamy Cleansing Foam I was shocked. I didn’t know my skin could feel that tight. Not tight in a “Oooh all my wrinkles are gone!” tight…just tight like I said above, washing your face with Irish Spring.
Well, my tube of this “high end” cleansing foam sat in my shower (where I wash my face 80% of the time) and every once in a while I’d take it and use the tiniest amount – honestly just the size of a pea – and sure enough my face would end up feeling tight and dried out like an old half eaten apple one of the grandkids threw under the couch. It was as though last bit of moisture I had in my face had been sucked right out.
Yes, the Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Balancing Softener, Benefiance NutriPerfect Eye Serum and WrinkleResist24 Day Cream loosened up that feeling but then I’d just end up using MORE of their super expensive products. It would have started a vicious cycle of “drying skin out” adding products “hydrating skin”…but instead I cut out the drying part and the rest of the products last a lot longer.
I gave it to my son-in-law who’s got to have the oiliest complexion I’ve ever seen. This guy has so much oil coming out of his body his parents should have named him Texas or Alberta…regardless, he likes it and because he’s a confidant guy he doesn’t even mind the scent.
So – if you have oily skin or use a stone mason’s trowel to apply your makeup – this could work for you!

Was recommended by SA in Sephora. Was pricey for me, but know can always return to store if not satisfied. The SA said only needed small pea size dot for entire face. She was right! The tube last about a year for me, and love that it feels so luxurious on my face. Use it as second step in double cleansing as recommended by the 10-Step Asian skin care gurus. Don’t use 10 steps myself, more like 7. And like products in tubes, as will cut in half as when getting to the end, and store tube into itself to get every last bit of product out. Just being practical, not cheap, and trying to keep my skincare routine sensible. When cleaning out skin care products this past summer, had way too much ‘stuff’. Very enjoyable product to use and will definitely purchase again.~~~

It’s indeed very creamy.
Pea sized amount is sufficient per use and the foam is soft yet rich. Tiny beads will dissolve during the process and act as a mild scrub I guess.
Smell is slightly overwhelming but overall a really good cleanser as it cleanse well without stripping off moisture.
Didn’t have any allergic reaction for myself, my mum is on her third tube as well.

I have been using this cleanser for a few years and Im very pleased with this! The best high end cleanser for me.
You dont need too much to get it to foam and cleanse the face. It is very creamy feeling. It leaves behind a squeaky clean yet soft feeling and I think this is due to the talc in this product that gives it a sort of powdery soft feel left behind. It never strips me dry and it removes my makeup. Stubborn eye makeup will have to be removed with a separate cleanser/remover. I have normal-dry skin and I have no reactions to this product. It is fragranced but I am not at all sensitive to it and itsn’t strong.
Speaking of ingredients, I have taken a look to see what’s inside and it does contain some pretty good ingredients like hyaluronic acid acid(good for wrinkles&hydration), some plant root extracts, and lauric acid. These seem good to me but Im not an ingredient expert that pays extreme attention to it. This is a cleanser which it’s main job is to be on my face and to be washed down the sink but it’s the extra luxurious parts that make it worth it along with it’s “basic” job. This works excellent, the best I found so far. Could I find a cheaper alternative? Yes, most likely. I have only purchased cleanser in full form about three times now, each lasting a long time. I am a frequent customer at Shiseido and I have received many many samples/travel size versions of this so luckily I won’t have to restock for awhile now because unfortunately this cleanser is not cheap. When I run out, I would certainly buy this again for it’s best cleanser I’ve come across, expensive or not.

I am 21 years old and love this product !! It comes in lovely packaging and the product inside is amazing, I use this with my clarisonic as it foams up lovely. I use it normally as well when I don’t want to use the clarisonic. The texture is thick and has little beads in, helping to clear pores. Once lathered onto skin it feels luxurious. Gets rid of makeup quickly and makes skin look beautiful. I rinse off with hot water and a Muslim cloth.
Definitely would buy again! A* product

This is a really lovely cleanser for my combination skin. I get really dry on my forehead and cheeks but super oily on my nose and chin. This cleanser made my face feel very clean without leaving my dry bits even drier! It is quite expensive for a cleanser but does take off all of my makeup easily even though I wear long-wear or waterproof cosmetics. I do have a slight issue with the tube though. This fell over while I was using it in the shower and even though the cap was securely on, water managed to get inside the tube turning the product a little watery. Not a big issue though and it wouldn’t stop me buying again.

I got this 1.7 oz. GWP for free. I have been using the regular Benefiance cleansing foam on and off for a few years. But this “Extra Creamy” formula does felt so luxurious on the skin. I couldn’t help but cupping both hands over my face and inhaled deeply and it does smell like the Cattleya (orchid). That sensation of the foam between my face & hands was so relaxing/soothing, ahhhhhhh !!!
After rinsing & drying off, I really don’t my skin is any more or less difference compared to the regular Benefiance cleansing foam. However, from now on, I will purchase this over the regular kind, simply for the sensation, ahhhhhhh !!!

I love this. It removes make up, it has anti bacterial ingredients, it does not strip your skin, you need a lil bit and I am not kidding, I look forward every night to use this product.. it has a lot of fragrance though which I happen to love but it might be irritating I dont know, I have sensitive skin but this does not irritate mine. I have to say that my skin broke out I dont know if its because of hormones or because of all the different products I have been using so I will keep using it and see how it goes after I find my regime. It is very expensive though for a cleanser so you might be able to find a similar product for cheaper but if you want to spoil yourself definitely try this
