Best cleanser I’ve used so far. On my fourth bottle now. Been searching for a foam cleanser and this one really does the job. Doesn’t make my skin feels dry and most importantly no acne breakouts! Previously tried Hada Labo which resulted in a horrible acne break out (maybe not suitable for my skin?). It gives me a healthy natural pink glow in the cheeks after using for not long. Really love it and a really small tiny pea sized will do with a little water. A bottle can last really long.
Packaging wise, it’s really convenient for me to take it along to a sleepover or road trips since I don’t have to worry about it leaking. Bottle with pumps can be annoying.

I love japanese products, but this cleanser somehow broke me out. My forehead was covered with small bumps.

Aqualabel is one of Shiseidos sub-brands, which is mostly available in Asia and is a drugstore brand. So far, Aqualabel has launched two lines, the red and the blue line, where the red line is for the normal to drier skin types, while the blue line is a whitening line, which is for combination and oily skin types.
This cleanser contains white clay and tiny hyaluronic acid granules, which act as exofoliant agents are said to remove the melanin on the surface and cleanse the skin deeply, without drying it out. However, they are so tiny, that you wont really feel them a lot, so it’s also a great product for those of you with sensitive skin.
The package is a clear deep blue simple tube, which is the signature colour of the Aqualabel bwhitening range. This product is called “foam” though it comes in a tube and has a creamy texture. However, once you add a bit of water, it foams up, so be sure to use a pea size amount, it’s enough for your whole face and neck.
I normally use this in the evening with my Clarisonic Mia2 brush and I can see instant brightening effect, plus it leaves my skin super clean and I noticed an improvement in the skin texture and brightness. Since this is a formula for combination and oilier skin types, it may leave your skin a bit tight afterwards like mine, which is why I follow up with Avène thermal water and a moisturiser and I never had any problems with flaking, dry or patchy skin etc. Or when I’m giving my skin some rest from all the products, I massage some coconut oil on my face and neck, then apply this foam directly over it, add a bit of water and cleanse it with my Clarisonic brush. No need for moisturiser or lotion, no tight skin sensations, yet the skin is squeaky clean.
If you are looking for an affordable cleanser, that preforms well, brightens and is suitable for combination to oily skin, which is sensitive, this may be your pick.
