I’ve purchased this product over and over again – it is such a steal. It’s a lovely, simple creamy face wash that’s soothing, creamy and incredibly moisturising and it smells incredibly fresh and a little floral too. I have oily combination skin but I still use this when my skin gets a bit dry or even irritated and it always manages to calm everything down. It won’t remove your makeup but if you use it in conjunction with a cleansing oil/balm/water it’ll be absolutely fine! This is probably the only creamy cleanser that has left my skin feeling clean and although before drying your face with a towel you can feel a tiny amount of moisturising residue it’s not at all uncomfortable. My skin feels incredibly soft and soothed with this product, it is so easy to use.

I bought this face wash because it was on sale and is natural/etc.
PROS: It is very very moisturizing – usually I apply a layer of moisturizer in the morning/evening after cleansing, but I don’t need to with this wash! I have sensitive, combination skin and it doesn’t break me out. Light scent and
CONS: It does not remove makeup very well. I have to wash my face twice to get the makeup off. Also, because it is so creamy, I feel like I am washing my face with a moisturizer AKA my face does not feel very clean after.

I’m 31 yet still suffer from teenage skin. My skin manages to be both oiky/spot prone AND sensitive which us a nightmare. I’ve used every high end skincare brand available within in the UK and by sheer chance decided to try this. Well, what a revelation.
For the first few days I broke out in a few pimples but not the usual big, sore boils under the skin I usually get. Once the pimples went, my skin has become so clear, soft and supple. This somehow manages to control my oil and has reduced enlarged pores even though it isn’t advertised as doing so. I would also swear that some of my wrinkles have softened!
I’ve been using it now for over a month and my skin is currently the best it has ever been.
Only complaint: being a cream cleanser I do sometimes feel like I want to be “squeaky clean” so I’ve been combining this with the exfoliating wash a couple of times a week. Both products costs less than £10, so I doesn’t put me out however that is the only reason the purifying cleanser doesn’t get the full 5 star review. I feel it needs that occasional second product to supplement it.

I switched to using this facial wash from using the much harsher Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean cleanser, and it’s amazing how fast my skin has changed! I have dry/combination skin that is both dry AND oily if that makes sense. I was trying to use tea tree to balance it, and it seemed to work at first but then I began breaking out like I used to back when I was a teen!
I switched to this product along with Garnier Fresh Toner and Amie Morning Light Moisturizer and within 2 days my pimples were almost completely gone. I don’t know how it does it, but this cleanser manages to balance out the oil AND dryness in my face while also purifying my pores and making my skin silky soft.
This product costs about $8-$9 at my local Shopper’s Drug Mart, and I’ll continue to buy it as long as it’s available, and as long as it continues to work for me!
Update: Didn’t take long for this product to stop working for me. Not sure if it’s the weather but I started flaking so badly about a week after continuously using this… I don’t even know how that’s possible considering how thick and creamy this is. But my face was so dry and dehydrated, it was awful. Switched to my favourite cleanser of all time (Garnier Clean+ Gentle Clarifying Gel) and my skin is much happier (and that stuff has zinc and salicylic acid in it so it clears acne while moisturizing).

I actually have normal to combination skin, which tends to get dry in some spots (but stay oily in others) during the winter. Recently I’ve been having some break outs (I think it’s because of the new BB cream I’ve been using, the power perfection one from the Face Shop, which is unfortunate because I love it). I was looking for a cleanser that was more gentle and less scented than my Biotherm mousse cleanser, and one that cleaned better than my Spectro Gel. I think I found the one. I may have to stop using it during the winter when I get really dry, but I’m hoping to prevent that this year with a great moisturizer. This makes my skin very soft and smooth and smells great. Leaves it matte as well which is a big thing for me. I still use makeup remover wipes to remove my makeup before I cleanse, but this definitely does a great job. Very gentle, doesn’t sting and will hopefully help with my little breakout. Would recommend.

This has a lovely scent and left my skin soft. Because its creamy its not as quick to use as some face washes but it has the benefit of not having some of the chemicals they do in. Shame superdrug don’t stock it anymore or Id consider buying more.

Really softens my skin, it leaves it refreshed but isn’t at all drying. Great for daily use. Smells amazing like all the amie products, I don’t know how more people don’t know about this brand!

This makes my skin so clear and soft. If I use it in the evening my skin looks perfect in the morning. Smells really nice too. Use it with the morning clear moisturiser

I really want to like this product but I don’t. Firstly it does a bad job of actually cleansing. I find a lot more make-up comes off with my toner, even after cleansing thoroughly twice with this product. And I never wear heavy make-up. In terms of texture, the cleanser is thick, creamy and it does not foam. I have oily skin with some dry patches and while the drier areas like the moisturising feel, my oily t-zone finds it quite heavy. I don’t like the tube packaging either as it’s quite difficult to get the last few ml’s of the cleanser out due to it’s thick texture. On the plus side, I love the scent and it has much nicer ingredients than some other drugstore cleansers out there. Overall this is not the worse nor best cleanser I have tried and I would not repurchase.

I have uber-oily skin, and even though I love trying new products I always come back to this range. It’s the only cleanser I know of that doesn’t dry out your skin, and smells gorgeous. (The entire Amie range smells fab, though.)
I’ve been using it for years now, and whenever I do my skin looks and feels almost flawless. It smoothes on like a luxurious moisturising lotion, and seems to just melt the dirt and oil away. However, I do agree with the reviews below – if you aren’t used to it, it can feel quite ‘heavy’. To get rid of that feeling, and to ensure your skin is squeaky clean, spend a little longer massaging it in. In the morning I’ll spend 30 – 60 seconds doing it, and in the evenings it’s usually a few minutes.
Give it three or four weeks, and you’ll suddenly notice that your skin feels soft, looks radiant, and smells absolutely beautiful. Can’t recommend it enough. 🙂 x
