If I follow the directions to apply this cleanser to damp skin, it doesn’t take off my Double-Wear liquid foundation very well, so I have to apply again. If I rub the cleanser onto dry skin and then rinse with water, it does a better job. For either method, I have to use more of the cleanser than seems right. And even though it does make my skin really soft, I’d rather use E.L. Perfectly Clean Foam Cleanser once and follow it with a toner for softness — that combination feels clean! Besides, I don’t like the fragrance, which smells more like basic lotion without fragrance…. Maybe my tube got shortchanged on fragrance, or else it was old when I bought it.

My mom got an Estee Lauder set and gave me some items she didn’t need.a 30 mil of this cleanser was one of them.it comes in a tiny, dark blue tube which is very easy to carry in a bag so I like that I can take it to travel with me.I expected it to finish soon but I’ve been using it for almost a month and it’s unfinished yet
I remove my makeup with cotton pads and micellar water( usually Bioderma Sensibio H2O or Garnier Micellar Water) and use a two-phase to remove my eye makeup.then I wash my skin with this cleanser( wash my eyes with Eyesol which is a cleanser for eyes).it’s not a thick foam as mentioned in other reviews.it’s more like a runny lotion.I don’t know if it’s scent is actually like this or if mine has changed due to being old,I hate it’s smell,it smells like a mix of lavender and chemicals(smells like house cleansing products!) and this is the main reason of not liking it.it doesn’t cause irritations and doesn’t dry out my skin very much but doesn’t do wonders like my much cheaper,HG cleanser(Yves Rocher Nutritive Vegetal Ultra Rich Cleanser),that one makes my skin feel refreshed and leaves my skin softer, brighter and moisturized eventhough it’s a 7$ gel cleanser..I even prefer my previous cleanser to this( Oriflame Love Nature Oat Milky Foam Cleanser,4.5$ )
So this one is a very average cleanser in my book.not bad as it doesn’t cause irritations and breakouts but not good either(bad smell,my skin doesn’t feel softer or refreshed or completely cleansed after using it) specially considering it’s price tag
Definitely won’t repurchase

Meh, this is exactly the same as purity made simple, they smell very similar, same texture, color. This is ok, I would actually describe this as low foam, no where near the shisedo or Korean cleansers that give dense foam. I don’t think this is anything special, took my ages to finish and I would not buy again since its just too expensive for the price. Gets rid of light makeup, but will need something more heavy duty for more. I liked this but didn’t love it. Its a lot to spend for a cleanser so I would recommend Purity made simple over this if you want something similar. I would recommend that you sample before taking the plunge.

What can I say this is a beautiful luxurious cleanser from Estee Lauder. It forms as part of their Advanced Night Repair collection, to be used after you Advanced Night Cleansing balm for the removal of make-up, but don’t fret, this cleansing foam can easily remove a full face of make-up on its’ own.
The scent is of Lavender oil, beautifully relaxing and calming in the evening, preparing to help you wind down for a good night’s sleep. It’s texture is creamy and luscious with a white pearlescent sheen to it. Please use a small amount, a walnut size is quite enough, lather well in wet palms and massage generously onto dampened face, neck and decolletage. Rinse lavishly with plenty of warm water. It leaves your face clean, free of all make-up and grime and isn’t at all drying. This cleansers’ main surfactant is Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, a surfactant/detergent ingredient that I particularly love, as it is one of the few foaming surfactants available that Cosmetic Chemists can formulate with, that from what the research shows is very gentle, cleanses extremely well yet respects the skins’ fine PH balance and also does not remove too many lipids from the skin or irritate the horny layer All qualities of that a good gentle, WATER-SOLUBLE cleanser.
The packaging is luxe and looks lovely on the vanity. A beautifully made well thought out cleanser, I would definitely repurchase it. This is now a staple in my skin care cabinet. Well done Estee Lauder!

I got 30 ml of this product twice in sets with some other products and it was ok, it cleaned nice, didn’t irritate my skin but I don’t like to buy expensive cleansers so probably won’t use it again

Love this cleanser, non-irritating or drying, it doesn’t leave a film on the face, removes most of my face makeup. Just make sure you shake it well before using it.

I don’t care for this cleanser too much. It is gentle and foams a bit, but something about the texture was unpleasant to me. It is more like a lotion then a cleansing foam. Also the fragrance is not my favorite. I wouldn’t buy this again, there’s better at lower prices. If the texture of this wasn’t so liquid like, and more dense and foamy, I would probably rate it higher.

I have sensitive, dry, acne-prone skin and do a double cleanse at night. I needed a cleanser that effectively removed any residue and makeup left behind by my favorite cleansing oil. This cleanser fits the bill. It has a texture like lotion, but isn’t sudsy or drying. In fact, it seems to add moisture to my skin. Plus, this cleanser smells pleasant–light, clean floral. I didn’t give this cleanser 5 stars because it isn’t the holy grail I seek: A cleanser that breaks down makeup like an oil/balm and rinses perfectly clean like a gel cleanser and leaves no trace of makeup/residue, but isn’t drying.

This cleanser reminds me of the Veritè Soft Foam Cleanser back in the 90s. (Which was an extremely effective -and mild- cleanser.) The fragrance, the mild surfactants are all the same. But the major difference is that the AN Micro Cleansing Foam is way too liquid and one will need a lot more product to be able to have any effect (if any) at all!
The packaging is just gorgeous with its simplicity in the opaque tube with EL-blue printing and the gold cap!
I love the lovely fragrance and that this cleanser is so mild that even truly sensitive skin can use it! But it unfortunately truly lacks the ability to remove make-up as it is today.
I hope EL reformulates the product to a somewhat thicker consistency and that it will contain more surfactants (foaming-agents) so it will be easier to handle and that it will foam properly and have a chance of doing its job, e.g.cleansing! It really would be a pity to see this product disappear too!

This was almost perfect for my ultra sensitive, very dry skin. It does not leave my skin feeling dry at all. In fact, it adds moisture to my skin. It makes the skin look more refined and luminous. However, there is something in this cleanser that sloughs off dead skin cells…at times it can feel harsh. I could not figure out which ingredient sloughs off the skin cells which made me feel uneasy as its not something I want to do everyday. Also, my skin started to experience a burning sensation after I washed with this. It would also feel raw from the daily exfoliation. My skin also started to get a little red which it never does. For these reasons I have no choice but to discontinue use. I think it would be a great product for someone without sensitive skin. However, I am writing this with burning skin from this product. 🙁
