05 Soft Auburn: Perfect shade for redheads!
It’s a struggle for the carrot tops to find a natural looking brow pencil.
Too thin. The pencil is hard to find and hold. The tip is too thin. This shade is discontinued in the other formulations.
Must press down to get pay off, dangerous because of how thin the product is.
Long lasting and perfect color.
Need more product for the price!
My current regular use.
Anastasia of Beverly Hills brow Wiz in Auburn would be perfect, if it was less brown. Not enough orange in it.

I love Clinique’s super fine liner for brows. I did a video tutorial about it, where I’m showing you the pros and cons and also how you can use it.
Enjoy watching.

I’ve used this brow pencil for probably at least 10 years. Black/brown is my perfect color and over the years I’ve tried other brands in dark brown / dark brunette and they are either too light, too red or too charcoal – black. I do wish Clinique would add a spoolie brush to the end as I really liked that feature in other products. I haven’t had the problem with the pencil tip breaking off as I’ve read in some of the other reviews and learned long ago not to twist up more than I needed. It’s a bit pricey for the amount of pencil but I’d rather have the perfect color than a cheaper pencil.

This review is for shade 02 – soft brown.
The best brow pencil for girls with cool brown hair.
I use this pencil since it has arrived to the market in 2004. My natural hair color is cool light brown. I haven’t seen any brow pencil that cold match my hair, except Clinique 02 shade. If I’m running out of it and I’m in the country where it’s unavailable, it’s tragic. (I live in different places and travel frequently)
The color is perfect. Staying power is great, I don’t need any touch ups during the day, even in hot and humid weather conditions.
Application is very easy. But to achieve more natural look ones applied it’s better to go over it with angular brow brush. It makes brows look softer.
The single downside of this pencil that you newer know when you are going to run out of it. You can’t move lead forward and put it back down, backward move isn’t an option. Apart of it this is the most wonderful brow pencil I’ve ever used. I hope Clinique would never stop production.

The Soft Blond is way too grey, and there are much better options out there, but if you’re a platinum blond and want something without any red and leaning more toward green, this would be one to try.

I recently purchased this brow pencil in shade 02 Soft Brown. My hair is a medium neutral brown, and this shade is absolutely perfect for me. It’s not warm toned, nor is it too ashy looking. I love the skinny pencil that clicks up so you don’t have to sharpen it. It’s very, very easy to use. It made my brows look amazing. My only complaint is that it just doesn’t last. I put it on in the morning and I had to reapply my right eyebrow two more times throughout the day, because the pencil was wearing off! My skin isn’t oily and my face didn’t get wet, so I’m not sure what the issue was. I’ve never had this problem with a brow product before, so at $16 for a tiny pencil, having to redraw my brows throughout the day is a deal breaker.

This is a great brow product. I have this and the Anastasia Brow Wiz, both in Soft Brown, and I much prefer the Clinique. The Superfine liner for brows isn’t quite as “hard” as the Brow Wiz, and goes on without having to press or dig into your face. Where the Brow Wiz Soft Brown is almost an auburn, the Superfine Liner is a bit darker and more neutral. It’s very natural, and you can control the amount of product easily. I will continue to purchase this, and much prefer it over the Anastasia product.

This product gets a 5 for me. It is easy to use, but alot of them are. The reason for the five is the color. It is by far the perfect shade for me.
The shade 02, soft brown is a misnomer. I don’t know why it is named that !! It is the perfect dark ASH brown . ASH being the key word here.
Most eye brow pencils have that horrible weird orangey tint to their brown shades that NO ONE has in their real brow color !
I mean, how hard is it to make an ash brown pencil ??? Evidently, VERY ! LOL
But Clinique gets it right. Plus, this pencil is very fine and is easy to replicate real looking brow hairs. Highly recommend.

I have this product in soft brown and deep brown. The “superfine” part of the product name is highly accurate. It’s so fine that it’s almost better for editing than full on filling, but it works regardless. The fineness works really well for my eyebrows which are naturally fine, sparse, and light colored, which works well for me since the deep brown liner makes my brows closer match my dyed dark brown hair. The only real problem I experienced with the product was that the tip does break easily. Other than that the soft brown liner has an almost greenish hue to it, so I prefer the deep brown. I will definitely be buying this brow liner again.

I initially liked this brow pencil because it is easy to use and can be done very quickly and does not look so waxy like other clinique pencils. The problem is it all wasted because the end broke off every time I went to use it. I barely rolled any up I know better than to roll a lot of product out and cause it break. It ended up being a complete waste of money and truthfully I was glad when it was finally all broke off because it was so frustrating to mess with. It broke and fell in my eye once, insane just insane. I would recommend that you skip all clinique brow products, the others are way worse than this one. I use to buy clinique products a lot for the bonus but other brands give bonuses too and have way better products to use. I am not much of a fan anymore of clinique and it use to be all I ever used.
