   Crappy pencil! Not worth the $20! I thought I’d give this brow pencil a try since there’s no ABH at Kohl’s beauty dept. The pencil is dry, not pigmented at all and broke off during every single use. It only lasted a couple times because that’s how much it would break off that I went through all of the product within 4 times of using it

   Very disappointed with this brow pencil. I love a lot of Lorac products so thought this could be a decent substitute for Anastasia pencil when Ulta was out of my shade.
   The Lorac is very hard to twist up and tip breaks off easily. Since the breakage creates a flat end, it is not easy to get a nice natural brushstroke.
   This is one pencil that I should have returned but will end up tossing out most likely.
   Not worth the $20-22 price. NYX has a similar pencil at half the price which is better.

   There are pros and cons to this eyebrow pencil, but unfortunately for me there were more cons than pros. I picked this up at Ulta for right around $20, which wasn’t bad. I had kind of high expectations considering the quality of LORAC products is usually pretty good. However, the tip of the pencil breaks off literally all the time. Also, it’s difficult to wist up to get more of the stick out. It does come with a spoolie which is nice, but the cap for it falls off in my makeup bag so easily. The product is a little difficult to blend out, but the color is good (I have the Auburn one) and it does last all day. I just wish it were easier to apply and not so annoying to try to use.

   PROS: There are actually so many, I don’t know where to start. But the best thing to me is how this looks on my brow, LIKE BROWS. 😉 I have some huge areas that need to be filled in, and this looks like eyebrow hair. (See my application tips for my total process I use.) I’ve tried a ton of products from ELF to drugstore products to Anastasia, and this is, by far, the winner for me.

   This lasts, even if I sweat, where some will run/smudge easily (I’m looking at you ELF wax/powder combo.)

   The color is fantastic. Right now, I have dark blonde hair with very blonde highlights. My base color is ash (highlights are more neutral, barely leaning to golden). And my brow color is a light to medium brown that is ash toned. I CAN get away with the “blonde.” But it’s just a hair too light, compared to the “brunette,” which is perfect. Here are all the shades it comes in: Auburn, blonde, brunette, light brown, dark brown, and slate (which is almost worked for me, because it’s so ash, but it was a bit dark.)

   Comes with a spoolie on the other end, which is kind of a bonus.

   CONS: Speaking of that spoolie, the little plastic cap for it comes off VERY easily. I end up just leaving it off so that it won’t annoy me. I use the spoolie on the end of my Anastasia brow brush anyway. EDIT: THis runs out SOOOOO fast, I end up having to buy this every two to three weeks. Ridiculous, especially for how expensive it is.

   APPLICATION TIPS: I first apply this. I usually go against the hair direction(to get a more natural look), BUT with this one, it works much better to go with the hair’s direction. It’s also very important to use very short strokes to get the best results. I don’t know if that’s because the formula is almost between a gel and a pencil, but it’s very important. When I have time, I will also go over that with my Anastasia powder in the dark shade of the “Medium Ash/Medium Brown” duo. But even if I JUST use the pencil, my brows still look very good.

   PURCHASING TIPS: You can buy it online at Nordstrom.com, loraccosmetics.com, Sephora, ULTA, Amazon, and even HSN has some LORAC products. My local ULTA, Sephora and Kohl’s carries LORAC, so I get to try out products using the testers. But I know Nordstrom is great about online returns with free shipping both ways.
