It’s a decent color, but slightly warm. Easy to apply and long lasting. Unfortunately, my eyes have an allergic reaction to this. Not sure why. I’m usually a total makeup snob, but thanks to YouTube reviews am now using Flower Draw the Line in Blonde ($7.99). The color is perfect, it lasts forever, and no allergic reaction.

The colour is nice but the formula is definitely too waxy for me, it’s either I press too hard and the colour comes out really intense or I draw too softly and it’s barely noticeable. Sometimes I even find it sticking my natural eyebrows together because it’s too waxy. Due to its dense formula I can this product lasting a long time before needing to be sharpened compared to Dior brow pencil. Nevertheless I’ll go back to my Dior as the formula suits me better.

Unlike other reviews I found this to be DRY and had to use it over and over for it to show up, but the color is spot on (I have light brown eyebrows and don’t want to look artificial or “done.” I paid about $35!! expensive. And finish it off with a matching eyebrow powder to fill in and soften and make it last all day. Have tried many “taupe”/ and “blond” eyebrow pencils and this one is the bomb. Used to use NYX (cheap!!) and it was perfect, but years ago they discontinued the formula and the new ones I tossed out because they were dark and waxy and awful. Glad to find the Anastasia. Bought three and now I am broke, but have good brows, lol!

I’ve used this for a few years now and like it better than any other brow product on the market, mainly because 1) Taupe is a very close color march and 2) I love the skinny, waxy product. HOWEVER I’ve had the same packaging problem with these over and over so I know it’s not a quality fluke – it’s the norm. I’ve gone through several and they’ve all had the same packaging issue. Technically it’s not the packaging, but rather the pencil’s plastic housing. It breaks apart in the same place, always when there’s still about a quarter of the pencil product left inside. On the end that houses the brush, the plastic at the base of the brush cracks and then breaks into several sharp pieces, leaving a jagged edge behind with the brush hanging out, no longer anchored securely inside. This means that 1) you can no longer use the brush, and 2) you can’t put the cap on that end because it has nothing to snap on to so it just slides right back off. If this had only occurred in one of the pencils, I wouldn’t think anything of it. But this has occurred three times in a row and I’m starting to explore other pencils /brow products because of it. Anastasia’s manufacturing team needs to address this because it’s clearly an issue.

Love this better than brow six or the new defining pencil – so easy — I buy this over & over!!

Best all-around brow pencil I’ve found. I typically prefer pencils that don’t need sharpening but I’ll make an exception for this. I find it doesn’t need to be sharpened all that often, and it lasts like 100x longer than the skinny twist-up pencils. And it’s a breeze to use. Great product!

This has quickly become pretty much my “Holy Grail” brow pencil/brow product.
It is soft enough to apply really easily yet not too creamy that it wears off easily or smudges. Stays put, does not budge; makes my brows look very natural and not ‘drawn on’ or ‘fake’. Very easy to apply; easy to fill in or create a defined edge. Does not tug. Not too hard but yet not too soft. Perfect!!
Others rave about the brow wiz, but to me, this the better brow product, from ABH or anyone. Lasts on me pretty much all day without smudging or wearing off.

After experimenting with brow gels, powder, pomades, etc., I decided to give the pencil format a shot.
Much like other reviewers, I debated between Blonde and Taupe (this line has a nice variation of colors available), I eventually went with Taupe as it is cooler-toned and matches my hair color better. It has a waxy feel to it and deposits color effortlessly if you scrape it against the back of your hand or in your brows. As such, I feel like it is very easy to get the Groucho Marx look if you apply too much, so a light hand with this product is better. A lighter hand can get a very natural-looking appearance.
On the other hand of this, because you use so little product, it lasts for a long, long time. So while $23 for a brow pencil is pushing it, you don’t have to buy replacements as often.
The pencil itself is very nice. One end has the wax pencil, the other side has a spoolie for grooming brows in place before application. It’s very useful and I appreciate the design.
This being said, I can tell if I apply at 8am, by 1pm, there is evident wear and tear on my eyebrows even in the winter (where I live, it is cold and dry–in humid conditions, it’s gone much faster). It’s not that it bleeds, but the appearance is dulled and by 4:30, it’s almost completely gone. It won’t hold up if you exercise or have any sort of strenuous activity. On the Sephora website, a few reviewers suggest it is water resistant, but I fail to see how that’s the case in my experience.
Overall, I don’t know that I’d repurchase this again, but it’s not a bad product overall. It’s just not the best for me.
Pros:
– Pigmented
– Can achieve a very natural look with a light-hand
– Comes with a spoolie
– Product lasts for a long time
– Nice offerings for brow colors
Cons:
– Very easy to overdo
– Not long lasting

Once upon a time I was comfortable leaving the house with a little shadow and a coat of mascara. This brow pencil changed everything about my make-up routine. I had no idea I had such wussy brows until Taupe came into my life. I bought this product for ‘special occasions’ and I use it daily.
This is the most natural looking product I have ever used on my face. This matches my eyebrows exactly. It is so pigmented yet very blendable, responsive to how firmly or softly you apply. The spoolie brush attached is firm and lush.
I much prefer this over the Anastasia Brow Wiz- this pencil lasts 4x as long. It is a pricer product but it will last you months. I got it from Nordstrom online on sale for $16.00, so far it has been worth every penny. This is much easier to use than the Brow Dip, which is great but needs a light and confident hand. This pencil is more forgiving and a perfect first time brow product for brow newbies.

I needed a new brow pencil that wasn’t quite as waxy as the Maybelline Master Shape (which is almost a HG but for the appalling packaging) but that had a spoolie on the end. After some research I found the Perfect pencil.
I was torn between getting the Blonde and the Taupe for my light brown hair, but in the end the Taupe won, as the Blonde had more of a gold tone to it which might not look natural in daylight (the lighting in the store does distort the colors somewhat). The Taupe had no redness to it and also wasn’t too cool or grey toned. The perfect neutral taupe eyebrow pencil!
I think that $23.00 is a hefty price tag for a pencil, but it is actually quite good. The pencil doesn’t deposit a lot of waxy color and instead can be used with a light hand to fill in areas and look natural. My brows are very sparse so anything too pigmented just looks fake.
The Taupe color turned out to be a very good match to my natural hair color as it wasn’t too dark. I actually was quite impressed with the range of colors available in this pencil. I swatched them all on my hand and they all looked very natural.
This is a definite HG for me, great quality product and the spoolie makes this perfect!
