I bought this Anastasia micro pencil in taupe as I have light brows and did not want a dreaded RED shade and paid $$$ for it after reading about how great it was..like $30!!! Crazy….However, I also bought a Maybelline ” Define a Brow ” in dark blond, and also in blond, and a NYX “Micro Brow” in taupe. All I can say in comparison is that the inexpensive Maybelline and NYX’s are as good as, if not better than the expensive Anastasia brow pencil. So…don’t waste your money on Anastasia as the Anastasia product is probably 10x more expensive and so not worth it, IMHO.

I think this pencil is the closest match to my eyebrows! Love this and will definitely repurchase 🙂

Of the 4 pencils I tend to use, Anastasia is definitely one of my favourites. Being any shade of Blonde is really a pain to match brow colour to apparently….I mean otherwise how could so many cosmetic companies continue to get it so very wrong time after time! My brows are naturally a bit darker than my hair, but I was always fighting to find a really good shade that looked natural on me. Mostly, the shades were just too darn dark or they added red tones that made my brows look absolutely insane, lol! Anastasia’s brow pencil in Ash Blonde is absolutely great, it is a taupe shade that will work for most blondes, from the light ashe shades to the darker blondes, like me. It has a consistency that allows for control, yet it is slightly smudgable enough for some shading before it sets a bit…. although it’s not like the older version of the Benefit Instant Brow Pencil that is quite creamy in consistency and lacks staying power. For a long time I used Estee Lauder’s Refillable Brow Pencil in taupe, but I wanted more precision than I was getting from it. I also use MAC’s (Mechanical Precision Pencil) in Fling, and Benefit’s Instant Brow Pencil in Light along with Bobbi Browns Brow Kit for Blondes/Light which is a powder duo. If I had to pick just one, I would be torn between the MAC, Kevyn Aucoin, and the Anastasia Pencils. The fact that you can shade your brows and then sharpen the Anastasia pencil for when you need thin precise lines gives it a versatility that is hard to beat. If you have very sparse to no brows and are new to the pain of having to do your brows, I would highly recommend starting out with Anastasia’s Brow Pencil. I would also suggest experimenting with other products to find what works best for your situation and skill level….for me, having several products on hand is optimal.

I’m convinced Anastasia is one of the only lines that understand blonde eyebrow color. I’ve tired so many others & could never find a color that suited me until I tried this (my eyebrows are naturally a lot darker than my light blonde hair & I lighten them a bit). When applied in a feathering motion it goes on perfectly giving me natural looking & defined brows.

Does what it needs to do and does it well! The perfect eye brow pencil!

I’ve been using this pencil for a while now. I have very light eyebrows that need filling in. My pencil might be different because it’s labeled as blonde instead of ash blonde. I think it’s alright and I’m not sure that I’ll repurchase because I don’t know if I like it enough to repurchase.

with my thin and light eyebrows, I have struggled to find a brow pencil that looks natural. The drugstore brands I have tried are all either too dark or the lighter ones have a redish tint. This pencil looks incredibly natural and a perfect color match!

The single best brow pencil I have ever used. I was using MAC but colour-wise and texture this is so much better. I have very warm , light olive skin but ashy blonde brows and I have a very dfficult time finding one that isn’t too reddish or gold, but this is truly a light ash blonde and is perfect. The MA from Anastasia did my brows n this in the store and they looked amazing, it somehow manages to look like hair rather than pencil .Perfection

The color only sticks when you draw over an area where hair already exists – if you try to lengthen a brow where you have no hair, the color doens’t show up, at least not on me. Maybe it’s because I have oily skin and the color won’t stay? I do like the color though – even though my hair is medium brown this still seems to be a good match for me. It’s a natural look and not too dark.
I use this for everyday use to thicken existing brows and the effect is very natural. I would not repurchase – would find something I can actually lengthen brows with.

This IS the perfect brow pencil. The colour is a wonderful match for my brows and the product lasts. I have ash brown hair which is highlighted and this balances everything so naturally. The application is easy and I find it gives a much more natural finish than using eye shadow. I was using Bobbi Brown grey shadow (really a greyish taupe) but it never lasted. This pencil comes with a spoolie at the end which is so very convenient. It is a great time saver to ditch the shadow and the brow brush. I was thinking about getting Anastasia’s brow powder but on inspecting the dual colours in the pan I would only need to use one. This is my second purchase. If it seems difficult to apply, just sharpen the pencil.
