I rely on this product a lot! I love how easy it is to be precise when using, also looks very natural, but you can build up for a more dramatic look. One problem is that it does not last very long! After about a week of daily using you start to struggle to apply, but despite that I am on my second one, but I am looking for a similar product that has a longer life!

Brown or green!?
So… I’m one of the few the universal colour actually suited, it matched my hair fine, but I’ve got naturally very fair eyebrows. It’s hard to colour your brows in when they’re so fair, bordering on invisible! So I liked the pen idea. It’s quite good to get an even defined shape. However I noticed after using a few hours into wearing it, my brown brows were going a shade of murky green! I know this can be expected with fake tan but I didn’t have any on. Tried using all sorts of other face products but it made no difference, so wouldn’t buy or use again!

I tried this brow marker and there are things I liked about it and things I didn’t. I like the marker/pen shape, which really does help to fully fill in brows for an even look and goes on very smoothly and easily. What I didn’t like was the “universal” shade which didn’t fully blend into my black-brown Indian brows. I was also hoping for better staying power from this, which I didn’t get. I will still use this in combination with a brow powder, but I don’t think I will repurchase it.

I had my brows tattooed a few years ago and don’t want to invest the money to touch them up yet. I REALLY wanted this brow marker to be my short-term solution. I have a steady hand and am skilled at drawing the individual hairs in, but the trouble is finding the right product and brush for the job. I’ve tried every manner of powder, liquid liner, gel liner, and pencil, and never settled on anything: either the strokes were too wide or the color was off. I SOOOOO wanted this to work…the pen itself is great; it has a very precise tip, is super easy to use, and the color is transfer-resistant. Only thing is, it’s not the RIGHT color, and apparently MAC thinks that this pen is a one-color-fits-all deal. I REALLY hope they come out with some other colors. This is a reddish-brown, and my hair is brown/black. I do still use it to add some varied color to my eyebrows…it does make them look a little more natural if I combine it with black gel liner strokes…but I could never use it on its own.

I was drawn to this because the mua told me that it was long lasting. However, I was a bit concerned about the color they say it’s a “universal shade” but I don’t know about that. I like it though but I usually use it to seal my brow powder and pencils and also use it to lighten my brows. I just shake it to dispense more of the product.

This works much better then the penultimate eyeliner. However, I found a much cheaper and just as good dupe at walgreens for $1.99. I actuly like it better. It is the pen liner by jordana. If you are on the fence about spending so much on a Mac one please try the jordana one. Jordana also makes the pen in black which is far superior to the penultimate rapidblack eyeliner. Hope this helps someone. 😉

Let me start off by saying that I’m Asian and my hair is NOT dyed! It’s a very very dark brown/black!
I honestly wasn’t sure if this brow marker would work for me to begin with- I mean- how can a ‘neutral’ colour that would work on EVERYBODY… be ok for filling out the brows on someone with such dark hair?!
I have no idea how it works (and yes I do have to fill them in quite a bit) but it DOES!! I just got mine today in the mail so I have yet to take it out on a test run to see how it holds up… but I’ve had it on around the house all day and it HAS stayed!
Further info: I have a super fair complexion (NW15) and my brows are darkly coloured though somewhat sparse in areas. This does a fantastic job of filling them out completely as needed 🙂
I think I’m going to have to get backups from the US… wonder if this dries out if it isn’t used hmmm…
Tip: use this as you would use a pen- literally. Draw fine strokes as though you were drawing in individual hairs- don’t just colour the area in! It looks MUCH more natural this way 🙂

I really like this product! After getting bored with using an angled brush and eyeshadow powder and having it fade and smudge through the day I thought i’d give this product a go.
However i have very dark eyeshadow and had to use a charcoal powder previously so the idea of one ‘universal’ mid-brown did concern me as i thought i’d look too light.
I was happily proved wrong and this baby somehow adapts to your natural colouring! I tried it out on my lighter haired mother after i’d bought it and she commented whilst looking in the mirror; “what did she use on you then, because this is brown and yours are black”. Very clever stuff!
Water resistant, so doesn’t smudge like other formulas might.
I like the felt tip pen application and feel it’s easy to use.
Lovely sheerish finish so it doesn’t look clown-y

I am going to have to get backups of this because idk how long it will last. I absolutely love this stuff. I have the worst eye brows and they barely have an arch. The hair itself is thick and it is hard for me to shape and fill them in. I use this and comb the hairs with elf’s eyebrow mascara in medium and my eyebrows look perfect–for the first time ever in my life!!!I have dark brown hair and when I use the mac and elf together my brows come out to be a medium brown but once the elf stuff dries it matches my hair. I can’t stress enough how hard it has been to do my eyebrows—nothing has worked for me. This pen makes all the difference!

This is a great solution to my really fair, sparse brows. Great for doing a strong, retro brow. I only wish it came in a warmer shade to match my coloring better. I end up layering it with an auburn powder to get the right shade.
