Good brow shaper. My brows are thick enough, so I mostly like the mascara-like products to keep things in place which this product does well. Not a lot of color payoff which didn’t bother me too much but may not be best for those with sparse brows.

I’m loving this bow gel. I have quite sparse eyebrows (especially in the end), and I like bushy, natural brows. This gives me exactly that. I usually use it on its own. The brush is great, but it is loaded with way to much product, so i’ll have to wipe some off, which im not a fan of since that’s just wasting product and this was quite expensive. anyways i just sweep through each brow, starting at the end where I need it most. My color is “Rich Brown” which suits my medium-dark, golden, brown hair, light complexion, and freckles so well. It is a bit warmer than brow products i use normally, but it is in no way auburn nor red.

This was recommended when I had my eyebrow trimming at Bobbi Brown. I have a very dark and thick eyebrow and this mascara is the best thing I had discovered in 2016. It tones down the thickness by lighting the brow colour.
I’ve used auburn which is a light to medium brown colour and had also tried dark brown. I do prefer auburn over dark brown. Auburn can really lighten the eyebrow while dark brown over black brow is not obvious at all. One tube can lasts about 2 months as it dries up quite quickly. It gets quite expensive to repurchase at every 2/3 months. I’m in the look out to find a cheaper version.

My HG brow gel for 12 years. Doesn’t flakes, hold the brow in place whole day , with a natural look. MAC one is pretty unnatural, like a hair gel finish. I have bushy full brow, I don’t trim them. Sometime, those shorter hair at the beginning of my brow is particularly unruly, and this won’t hold them in place whole day.
I use “clear”, as I just want to shape my full unruly brow to a define clear look and hold them in place.

Not a bad product in itself, however beware if you have quite thick and bristly brow hairs. Doesn’t leave white residue and is quite easy to handle but for me it didn’t do a particularly good job at making the hairs stay in place, especially for the price. Might work for someone with very sparse eyebrows.

I really like this product, I was given it for free by my mother and have started using it recently after storing it for a long time and I am really rating it! I tend to use circular motions lighting on my brows to cover them in this and then wait for the product to dry before brushing them with a spooly, into place. Sometimes i like to define underneath by brows and add to the tail with my Smashbox brow powder after.
Pros:
– Easy To Define Brows
– Adds Volume
– Natural Color and effect
– No need for a brown gel as I find this holds my brows in place.
– Great for a quick and easy solution
Cons:
– Not exactly cheap
– Wouldn’t be useful if your brows were really sparse as the “filling in” factor is minimized.

I have used Bobbi Brown eyebrow shaper in excess of 10 years. It is the best brow product out there. I generally use Blonde with is a light brown shade similar to the matte eyeshadow color of the same name. Occasionally I use mahogany which is a darker brown. My only comment is Bobbi Brown has changed the shape of the brush. The new brush is not as effective. Please change back to the old brush.

I bought this in Sable based on reviews here. I loved it and it was my HG brow product until I learned that the colour had been discontinued. I have medium blond hair with a cool undertone. Finding a brow product for blond hair without a yellow or orange undertone that is not too dark is nearly impossible. Sable was perfect. Since it was discontinued, I have switched to MAC brow pen in fling. In terms of the product, the brush comes out of the tube with an appropriate amount of product on it (apart from most similar products that come out too wet) to apply directly to the brows, and I found it provided good colour and hold for my brows. If you can find a colour that matches your brows, this is a nice product.

I must admit, this is one of my love-hate products. A lot of Bobbi Brown products are that way with me. There’s some of her products I love and other products it just missing that je ne sais quoi factor.
I bought this product because after 2 attempts of professional eyebrow shaping and one personal attempt, I’ve lost all the baby fine hairs on my brows making them look wiry and sparse. So this product definitely adds some volume to sparse looking brows. However, I must agree with other MA reviewers this product needs some help.
CONS:
1) I like having a full brow look to my face and once in a while I fool myself into believing I can go for something slimmer… mostly because the peeps doing your brows like to yank as much brow hair off sometimes. This product can easily make full brows look messy. So you do have to be careful about the amount applied, which can be hard to control. Yes, whipping the wand inside the opening of the container or blotting it with tissue does help to prevent adding too much product. But still, when applied properly it still can be fuzzy messy Groucho Marx brow.
2) It can sometimes be drying to the brows too.
PROS:
1) Coloring can be nice. I am African American with black brows and lashes and black hair… but the ends are no longer jet black, they’ve been turning a freaky red almost strawberry blond (I’ve tried cutting the ends and that works, but the like 3 weeks later its red again, slowly travelling up the roots which is mostly jet black, it can be pretty, but it can also be annoying cause people think I’ve colored my hair when I don’t but it does help to camoflauge any grey strands of hair). So the Mahogany (which I think is their darkest shade in this) goes well in lightening up my brows to compliment my naturally freakish hair coloring. The colors seem to look really natural… earthy. However, its probably not a product for the jettest of black hair coloring.
HELP FOR SOME OF THE ISSUES:
So as I was growing out my latest attempt of professional brow shaping, I started to play around with this product. I didn’t use it when my brows were thin because it wasn’t easy to apply. So I’ve been using it since my brows are in stages of growing out. What I do is apply a light coat of this stuff to the brows, making sure a lot doesn’t touch the skin. Then I take a clear brow wax such as found in Clarins Eyebrow Kit, and apply over the Bobbi Brown product. This helps to shape the brows, fill in the sparse areas, and to create a shape instead of the fuzzy Groucho Marx look without the wax. I love this method! It gives a nice illusion of full, tamed, shaped brows.

I have this in Auburn which is a good shade for me, as a redhead. It isn’t too red (unlike RMK’s eyebrow mascara in Brown Gold which looked far too over the top…)
It has much better coverage than an eyebow pencil, which I generally find too hard. It is a liquid, looking very much like a mascara. The brush is in fact a mascara brush and my only gripe is that it is a little too big for those like myself who have fine eyebrows so you have to be quite careful in appliation not to get it all over your skin. Important to have a light touch when you apply – just lightly touch the hairs, and not the skin underneath. I then use a fine mascara brush to redistribute afterwards since the wand it comes with is too clumsy.
It generally lasts all day although can rub off. If you apply too much it can cake.
