I currently bleach my brown hair platinum so require brow products for my clear (yes totally transparent) brows that have been years long overplucked and haven’t grown back in some crucial areas. This has ZERO warmth which I require. It is hard to show up sometimes if you have a lot of emollient product on which is why I removed a star. Otherwise perffff platinum blonde brow!!!

I have had this in the skinny pencil & the fat brow crayon in fling. I prefer spiked which is odd because i love the MAC brow pomade in dirty blonde & ABH in taupe. Fling is too pale for me., I’m NC20 medium brown hair grey eyes I just preferred spiked. One would think spiked would’ve been too dark very strange indeed. I wear Light in elf brow kit also. Very strange #methinks

Perfect color my hair is a mid blonde. The tip is very fine which I love. If it had a spoolie on the end it would be perfection

So, I’ve never written a review in my whole life, but here goes.
I got into eyebrow products somewhat late into my makeup addiction. In fact, this wonderful pencil is the first brow product I’d ever purchased, so I can’t really say much about the competition. I tried out several other pencils from the drugstore but they pulled quite greenish on me.
I bought this product on a whim because I was impressed when I tried it in-store, and almost immediately regretted it after I read the reviews that said this pencil breaks easily and that people go through them really quick.
BUT, I’ve been using the same pencil for almost a year and never had any problems (I simply pull out teeny tiny amounts at a time – think a millimeter). As a total beginner that I was at the time, I found it incredibly easy to apply, the color is fantastic and the lasting power is amazing, in my experience.
I feel like I struck gold with my first eyebrow purchase, and plan to repurchase many times!

This is one of the best eyebrow pencils for blondes I’ve used. A perfect ash with no warm/orange tones. Buildable for a natural look. A lippy off for the fact it does have a tendency to break at the tip, sometimes several times in a row, and it doesn’t have super staying power.

Really nice texture and easy to apply. If the stick is cold, it gets brittle and snaps off – such a waste. Good colour for blondes.

The color of this is slightly lighter than the Anastasia Brow Wiz in Taupe (lightest color they offer in that formula), and is a better color for me. However, it’s still not quite right. It’s definitely a cooler color, and somewhat flat, I guess would be the best description. I’ve used Estee Lauder Automatic in Soft Blond for years, and love color, it’s a touch warmer (without going orange) than this, and maybe a hair lighter. I find this creamier than Brow Wiz, so I didn’t love the formula, but it’s not bad. Even though the Estee Lauder has a much larger tip, it’s not really a problem since I just need to fill in my brows, so based on the color, that’s a better choice for me. Plus, this didn’t really last on me. I had a hard time getting it to apply to my skin, and once it was there it just sort of disappeared. But that may have more to do with the color than the formula. Even with that, I can see how this would work for many people, and if Brow Wiz in Taupe is too dark, this would be the one to try. Side note, I think the NYX is darker than this and even a little darker than Brow Wiz in Taupe and I’ve tried Omega for an eyebrow powder and found it very similar in color, perhaps a bit darker.

As of this review date, MAC Fling retails for $17 USD.
This shade is meant for blondes, and it’s a very good neutral color that is slightly ash. It’s not too greenish or grey, but definitely not a warm or reddish shade, whereas some blonde pencils on the market are more taupe. I tend to like the warmer taupes, however; this is a great shade that will look realistic for most blondes.
What I like is the thin “lead” and the fact that it does last longer than most brow pencils I have tried, though not as long as Anastasia Brow Wiz. Thin pencils let you feather in light strokes, filling in the brow in a way that looks more realistic and natural than thicker pencils that provide a more obvious line of color.
The neutral color is the best right after I get my highlights done. As my roots start to grow out I frequently switch to one of my warmer taupe pencils such as universal taupe from IT Cosmetics or the taupe from Mally. Natural blondes, especially those of Scandinavian descent, will love the ash blonde color of MAC Fling.
It’s an automatic pencil – you never have to sharpen this. It’s not retractable but as you wear down the lead you swivel the bottom to feed the lead upward. So nice for travel. I hate dealing with wood shavings.
However, there is an annoyance with this product, which other reviewers have mentioned: a small piece of “lead” can occasionally snap off. Applying with light pressure rather than firm pressure can help prevent this.
MAC’s eye brow crayon is a good option – I wish it came in more brow colors. MAC had a great brow pomade called Dirty Blonde but there was no pencil color equal to it.

Perfect taupe colour. Perfect for shaping eye brows. I have medium brown hair to blonde balayage and use this then also fill in my brows with a powder on top afterwards. This is the perfect shade but you do not get much product for the price which is a real let down. And you can’t wind it down so be warned ladies. Anyways the actual product is too good not to repurchase though for me.

I have ash blonde hair, but darker eyebrows. Normally, I will use a taupe or medium brown brow product, which blends pretty well. This pencil is too light and too true blonde/yellow for my brows. The pencil is also too thin and therefore, fragile. I use mine and would purchase it again, but probably will not. There are other brow products that work better for me.
