This is my favourite brow pencil because it is easy to blend, looks natural and is easy to find in my area. I have the shade 020 Blond which is the perfect shade match for me, is a little on the dry side but doesn’t take that long to fill in the brows. I like using this with L’oreals Brow Boost and Set Mascara also in the shade Blond for a more defined and natural look.
This brow pencil comes with a brush that is really nice and works well to blend the product into the brows but I still prefer a spoolie as I feel they are easier to use and take less time to blend. Will stay in place all day especially if you use a brow gel or something similar to set it. Perfect to fill in or shape for your desired look. Highly recommend!

Much as I love this pencil, a big reason I keep buying it and recommending it is because it’s one of the only products that comes in auburn! Why the ginger hate!?
I like to tint my dirty blonde brows a bit red to match my hair, and this gives that subtle hue that I need. It stays put all day and doesn’t fade, melt, or even look like it’s added. Much more natural than some pomades and gels.
Pencil sharpens well, goes on quite creamy (but not too much!) and the brush makes it a handy all-in-one solution.

This pencil is creamy, pigmented and stays put! I love the mini brush on the cap, great for brushing my brows. I use this with my nyx eyebrow cake powder or separately and it lasts all day and stays super pigmented all day. The brown is a nice brown with no orange undertone for once! it looks so natural and makes my brows look amazing. Its not expensive either os i definitely recommend you try this!

No matter how humid the temperature is (and in the Philippines I must say that it’s scorching hot!) or no matter how much I crush it in the gym and sweat all over, or swim at the beach or pool, as long as you don’t smudge this with anything, IT STAYS PUT! Saying I’m impressed is really an understatement! To think that it doesn’t even say it’s sweat/water proof! I just I hope they sell it here in the Philippines cuz my stock is about to run out and I can’t live without it!

I’ve been using this eyebrow pencil for years and I love it! Blends well and lasts all day.

Good eyebrow pencil! I buy 2 at the same time, I am 010 taupe and I use one pencil to outline my eyebrow (always keeping that pencil tip sharp by sharpening it repeatedly ) and my other pencil I use to fill in my eye brows (doesn’t matter if pencil becomes full ) and this method words amazingly!

The only brow pencil you need. I have this in the shade blonde , and have been using it on my brows for the past 4 years. It trumps anything else I’ve tried , over and over again. I even prefer it to my urban decay brow box due to it’s cost, simplicity , and result. It’s really easy to apply and looks natural. It also takes half the time to apply than traditional brow powder and wax. You can’t go wrong with this one for the price and quality and there are a ton of shades to choose from. I don’t think I will ever use anything else. I actually wasted money on the UD brow box because I ended up going back to this pencil liner!

I bought this pencil about a week ago and I really enjoy it, if you are a fan of the “instagram eyebrows” trend where they are more defined then you will really like this! However if you only want to add a little bit of something extra to you eyebrows I think that this might be a little too much for you.
I really enjoy the pencil, it blends easily and I like the brush on it. It stayed put all day without smudging or fading. Will be purchasing again.

I have repurchased this product twice now, and I still haven’t found a replacement! I’m a dark blonde and I like my eyebrows to be a little bit darker than my own hair. I have tried my fair share of products and nothing comes close to this color (in this price range). Rimmel’s eyebrow pencil in 002 hazel is has a very harsh red undertone in it. The essence eyebrow designer in 03 light brown is a nice color, but it just doesn’t come off the pencil, which for someone like me with light and sparse eyebrows is not a good thing.
I have very oily skin, so after a very long day it can get a bit smudgy but I usually spray urban decay de-slick makeup setting spray over it which fixes it.
I have used this in summers as well, and it is very much waterproof, which is a nice bonus.
So in conclusion, if you are a blonde who likes her eyebrows two shades darker without reddish undertones I would definetely recommend buying this in the color grey-brown!

This product was recommended to me by a Shoppers drug mart cosmetician for its reasonable price and quality. I bought the shade 03 grey brown. It is a tad lighter than what I would prefer but I find it buildable. The pencil is not overly waxy which allows the color to glide on very easily with a soft stroke. I especially like the spooly attached to the opposite end of the pencil which makes one less thing to pack in the makeup bag.

I have just repurchased a second one of these. They colour is absolutely on point. I have natural ash blonde hair with a very light dyed ombre. It’s hard to find an eyebrow pencil that doesn’t have tints of red in it. The colour is quite harsh so you do have to be very light handed when using. I will however, continue to repurchase.

I love this eyebrow pencil. Its hard for me to find a colour that matches my eyebrows but their black one matches really well. Its not too strong but I don’t have to use a lot either. I just do a few strokes, brush it in and bam, sexy, natural-looking eyebrows. It lasts a good amount of time, most of the day, and doesn’t clog my… eyebrow pores.
My only problem with it is that the lid broke on my pencil both times I had it and on my older pencil (that I still have but its really short) the brush end has fallen off.

I am in love with this pencil. I had just bought the brow kit and it was my favourite but my daughter coincidentally had bought this and I had to try it. I got the same shade, grey brown. The brush on one end to groom and blend is a bonus. The pencil really is like a powder and goes on with a natural look. It’s not waxy and hard. It’s a tie between the brow kit and this pencil. I alternate them because they are both perfect products. This was $15 and worth it. Don’t hesitate to get this or the brow kit.

Pleasantly surprised by this product. Was very easy to apply. Leaves my eyebrows looking fully defined. I have olive skin and I brought the “Soft Black” color and it looks great!

I have this brow pencil in shades 2, 4, and 6 and am happy with them… except that shade 4 (light grey brown) is metallic! I don’t want metallic eyebrows! If only it were matte, it would be SUCH a use-able shade. All is not lost though, it makes a lovely soft taupe eyeliner, great for lower lashes.
The other 2 shades are fine – they go on quite lightly (i.e. the colour is not too creamy and dense, making it too heavy on the brow), and so are easy to use. I’d buy ’em again – they’re great for the price.

I have recently switched over to this from MAC and couldn’t be happier. I use #3 which is comparable to Brunette in the MAC crayon and I love how much more control I have and it doesn’t break the way the MAC crayon constantly did.
For $11AUD you can’t go wrong.

I love this! The pencil is very soft but still applies very well and easy to build to a dark colour. I have close to no eyebrows whatsoever so I have to pretty much completely draw them on. I like to use a black gel liner as softly as possible then going over it with this eyebrow pencil. It creates a very dark and defined look which is what I like, but if you like to draw your eyebrows on softly or simply add some depth to already well shaped and full eyebrows this probably isn’t for you.
peskySyrup8
The pencil is way too soft for being a brow pencil. I prefer a more powdery formulation which makes it easier to achieve a natural result. This one doesn’t blend easily and applies unevenly.
The colour I have is 2 : it is a true dark brown neither too warm or cold. I prefer pencils with a hint of grey in it which makes brows look more natural.
***Other use**** I find it works very well as an eye pencil. Didn’t give a good rating because the product claims to be an eye brow pencil and not one for eyes.

As I was wandering, bare faced, through this store called Kaufhaus IIRC, in Dusseldorf Germany, my eye caught this nifty little pencil for brows. Took the dark brown and painted on my brows. The horror when I looked in the mirror when I was at the MAC store a couple of hours later! The colour had shifted to a moldy GREEN!
The SA at MAC even asked if I had permanent makeup on my brows, er, no thank goodness this came off quite easily, but that is the only positive thing I can say about my experience with the ArtDeco eyebrow pencil.
ashamedLizard7
I have it in the lightest shade wich is number 6, an ashy light brown. I adore it, I always wanted an ashy eye brow shade, because that is what suits me the best. It is long lasting and natural I love it and I will repurchase it!

I’m surprised Mercier’s brow pencil has not been reviewed here on MUA. I use Blonde (Taupe) and have repurchased this brow pencil for years as it is easy to apply and wears a good 6 hours before fading. A sharpener is included with each purchase and the pencil requires sharpening every two or three uses to achieve a smooth, even and defined application. This product covers and controls my thick gray brows without looking harsh or artificial. It has a very light waxy base that colors and “sets” the brows. I simply apply in the direction of the brow hair growth in small upward strokes. Price is OK as this brow pencil lasts me about 6 months or longer and wears well throughout the day. If you have very oily skin, it may not last as long.
I don’t get the poor reviews of this brow pencil on the Mercier website.

Good product for the cost.
Anastasia’s brow wiz has always been my HG brow product but at $28 (CAD), it’s just way to expensive. And it only lasts me a month or so (I have sparse brows).
I searched all over and even brought my brow wiz along with me so I could compare the colors with it, because the products I kept trying as “dupes” were always too dark, too orange, etc.
I found Annabelle’s pencil in “taupe” and it is an ALMOST perfect match for the brow wiz in “taupe/ash blonde”.
Annabelle’s goes on easy, stays put, and best of all, it is the right kind of blonde color. I don’t get why so many blonde pencils are so orange-y, but they are… This was has no orange color to it at all. And it’s 1/4 the price of the brow wiz!

This is a great standard brow pencil for anyone. Non-irritating, good pigment, good blending (especially with the added bristle top), and very convenient to carry around without worry of needing to have other brushes. The cap is very sturdy so there’s not much risk of you losing it as long as you remember to squeeze it down a bit. I have had the 050 Black pencil for several years and it’s served me well.
The only downside is how long it lasts. It doesn’t boast any sort of water-resistant factor, so I knew what I was getting. I have oily skin, especially along my eyelids and forehead, so this disappears halfway through the day without me touching it, requiring reapplication. It rubs off fairly easy, so if you want something that’ll carry out for a whole day, this may not be the choice for you.

I love this pencil, stays on me all day, doesn’t smudge. I’m in shade “brown” and it is great for me.

‘Greybrown’ is a taupe that seems too dark for my blond brows, but it works wonderfully when I apply it lightly and comb it through. (Application is quick and easy as it’s powdery, non-waxy, smooth and blendable.) The best thing of all: not even a hint of red in it.
euphoricTeal7
I use ths is grey brown since Maybelline, in their infinite wisdom, discontinued that shade. I have no choice but to like this as all other pencils I have tried are much too warm for my very ashy brows and stick out a mile. So if you are tired of yellowy or reddish pencil lines gleaming in the sun in your brows, try this. It does go on too heavily unless you use a very light hand as others have said but it does brush down quite easily so that isn’t really a problem, Overall, average product but unique shade.
