Bought this as a ‘brow duo” with pomade and a “fill in” powder at the other end. Pomade/pencil worked, but the other end never did as I could not open it, even with pliers. Pomade seemed ok, but I only bought this because it seemed like one product that could combine a “pencil” for outline and a powder for completion. Rip off. I just wanted ONE product to do it all, but since I could open both ends–ah not so. Tiredof having to do numerous products to get the brow look I want. Hoped this one would fit the bill but no.
EDIT: NEW USE!! Used this pomade on my prominent eye socket bones to recede them and found it the best ‘invisible” product. Powders (at my age) have looked flakey and wrinkled. This is easy to use and blend. A WIN. Glad I didn’t throw this out as it didn’t work on eyebrows at all.

Sampled this in Blonde shade. My natural brow color is an almost perfect match for Anastasia Taupe, so I have trouble with drug store brand products being too dark, too red or too yellow. This blonde shade falls into the too yellow family. The texture is smooth and a little sticky. I applied directly from the tube but I read another review where someone used a brush. The problem is the shade is not a good match, and I’m not fond of the color (you can tell where my natural brow, medium fullness, begins and ends, and I like a MBBB look). I wouldn’t purchase again and I wouldn’t recommend. I’d try ELF or NYX.

I really don’t care to much for this product, I think it’s okay to use if you want to just fill in your brow but if you want to fill and make them last all day this is not the product, over all it’s good to fill in your brows if your in a hurry.

I wouldn’t recommend this if you have sparse brows like me. There are some areas of my brows that this product just doesn’t stick to, making my eyebrows look patchy.
The pointed end of the crayon is pretty much useless as there’s no way of sharpening it so you just end up with a really thick blunt stick, meaning you have to carve out your brows with concealer to get rid of the stuff around the edges. I found that the best way to use it is diagonally like a lipstick bullet, so you have the point there when you need to do sparser areas or the end of your brows.
You also don’t get much product for your money.
I wouldn’t recommend this as there are better drugstore products available at a better price point. The shade range isn’t amazing either.

It rubbs off super quick and also hard to apply. If you have bushy eyebrows, it may be good for you but if you like defined brows as me, stay away from this product! Ps. Cap brokes so easily

This brow crayon glides on smoothly and the crayon tip is thick enough to make filling of thick brows quick and easy. Here’s a summary of the goods and bads.
What’s Great?
1. Smooth as Butter
2. Wearable & Natural-looking Colours
3. It Tames…NOT. Thank, God!
4. Quick and Easy to Apply
5. Great Value
What’s Bad?
1. Where’s the Spoolie brush?
2. Stay away, Defined Brows Lovers!
3. Rubs off Easily

I would repurchase ONLY if it was on sale and because the blonde is a great color for me.
I got this in blonde 50% off sale for $5.00. The color was fine, plenty of pigment, BUT no way was I able to just put it on and it was done. Like Dipbrow, it takes a little effort. I like the formula, if you apply then use a spoolie and clean up the edges and just want some color, it works. The downside is after the first few uses the point is just rounded and it makes a huge mess so I just used a brush on the crayon like I would a regular pomade when it got near the end. I like Anastasia’s better but the colors are just weird. I don’t know how drugstore brands can get nice natural colors, but her line cannot, at least not for blondes. One thing I do like about the Maybelline is that if you goof, it wipes off very easily because it does not dry super fast. I put some of the pomade crayon on, then brush with a spoolie. Then I take concealer to shape and clean up the brow. If you just need a hint of color and aren’t into perfection this will do it. I would recommend this to anyone who is just starting to fill in their brows because it applies much easier than a dip pomade. Downside, it smudges if you don’t set it. Not bad but more than Dipbrow Pomade.
If you can catch it on sale it’s worth a try.for $5.00. However at the regular price of $10.00 for .04 ounces, if Anastasia Dipbrow colors are good for you, you get .14 ounces for $18.00 so it’s a much better deal, even if you only use half before it dries out. So the Maybelline is definitely overpriced. Size matters and in this case the drugstore brand is more expensive.

I barely have brows, they are really blond and they are like baby hair. I use this product on the medium brown shade to match my hair color, and I love it. It gives my browns a natural look. I apply it with a brush because if you apply it directly from the tube it leaves small marks.

bought this out of curiosity. I thought this would be like a brow wax+tint, something that can help in controlling my brows when I’m in a rush or something.
1. The pigmentation is not good. I have the darkest or second darkest shade and it doesn’t show up on my dark brow hair.
2. It’s thick af. For me that is expected, right off the bat, but I wanted to give it a try anyway. I tried swiping it to my brows but it ended up depositing more product on the thicker areas of my brows and make my brows look even more patchy than it already is.
3. I tried using this with an angled eyeliner brush because it says “pomade” so I figure maybe I can use it like the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow pomade. Nope. This reminds me of that Essence brow pomade (i can’t remember the exact name) that actually MOVES around as you try to add more product. You can’t layer it to achieve better pigmentation. It will only move around and look patchy.
4. Despite being thick and waxy, it doesn’t hold my brows in place
TBH I feel like maybe this product is not meant for people like me who has thick brow hairs but have sparse areas. Maybe this is meant for people with sparse brows??? Anyway I won’t be repurchasing this..sorry maybelline

I have blonde hair and eyebrows that are sparse from thyroid disease. I use RapidLash on them, so they are thicker than they used to be but the ends are very blonde. This product (I use Blonde) is the perfect color to fill in the ends with no skill on my part. I’m not trying for perfect brows, so this is great and easy.
The crayon is so fat it’s hard to fit in my makeup brush and pencil cup and travel makeup bag. But I’ll buy it again just because the Blonde color is hard to find, and I love the ease of using it.
