I have had my giant compact for a year and have barely put a dent in this powder. I do not hate it. This needs a heavy hand though to even show up on me and I have what I think is a light to medium skintone. I can build it up with work but there are so many bronzers I have tried that I like better. I wish I would have stuck to my Guerlain Terracotta bronzer.

Got this because I fell in love with the Soleil Blanc perfume and oils. I bought it at nordies, it must have been a used return. Cuz it had no plastic on the bronzer itself and there was smear marks from a brush and the white bag was dirty. Anyway i live too far from nordies to drive there and return, anyway i yes used it. I know gross. But i paid 118$ with tax and I was dying to try it. Anyway I instantly fell in love with it- hold on/ after I used a fluffy it cosmetic big brush. I am medium- golden tone skinned.. I do not tan my face and never expose my face to sun without my CT MAGIC CREAM. So without my makeup my face and neck and the rest of me don’t match lol. But this gold dust bronzer color is the best for me. I use Jane iredale either pressed base or loose, over my CT MAGIC CREAM. I use CT bronzer and highlighter for light to medium faces. But I find by adding the TF BRONZER on top of my JI BASE, that my color lasts all day. Something really different about the Tom ford formula of bronzer. It’s not dusty at all and is soft almost kind of creamy textured. Which I love. I recently added this bronzer to my daily ritual. And so far I am very happy.

I purchased the powder and the hybrid in Bronze Age. Both formulas are beautiful. The hybrid version I spray lightly with a water bottle and swipe my TF brush, and apply. Gives my face a beautiful healthy glow and it does last the whole day. I also use the powder formula, which is finely milled and gorgeous. I have a medium skin tone, and Bronze Age gives my face a sunkissed look, not orange or muddy, but radiant color. Love both formulas and highly recommend.

Love this bronzer! Got it in “Bronze Age” it’s not too dark or too orange. It goes on so lightly and smooths so easily! The packaging is sleek and light weight which surprised me for the price I expected something heavier. Very natural easy light weight bronzer!

Have the original and the smaller white version in both gold dust. So I love it obviously. Just sometimes I struggle to open to thing which has slowly annoyed me. Love the colour and it’s very glam.

I really wanted this to work for me. I thought it would be perfect since it was so expensive and Tom Ford. I have to return it though, for a few reasons. I think it’s the combination of my skin type and the product itself that doesn’t mix. The product is much sheerer than I expected, I barely got anything on my brush when I applied it and it was not very noticeable on my face (I’m not super pale, I guess I’m medium/fair?). I found myself dabbing my brush in the compact much more than I would want. So that was the first strike. For something so expensive, I wanted it to last me a long time, but it simply wasn’t going to last long if I had to apply so much of it to get color payoff. The second issue I had was the redness. My skin has a lot of redness to it and some red spots that I cover with concealer. For every day, I use just minimal concealer over my redness (not all over my face). Well, since this bronzer pulls a bit red, to me it brought out the redness of my skin and made it look blotchy. Again-this issue is more because of my skin type and not the product’s fault. If you have great skin, I think this would look beautiful and give you a natural tan look. Unfortunately I don’t have great skin, so it was difficult for me to wear.

Yep, it’s that good. I really really tried NOT to buy this. I was thinking, another bronzer? Really, how could it be any different than the last 50 bronzers I’ve owned. Well ladies yes it is that good. I tried both Gold Dust and Terra and given I could only allow myself one, I chose Gold Dust. It’s got the nicest most subtle shimmer I’ve ever seen. It stays on all day as well! Sorry, I really didn’t want to like what i consider to be a super pricey bronzer! I bought the small one. Limited edition. The larger is now part of the collection. I have light/fair skin. Oily/combo. I did wear with a very very light dusting of foundation and blush.

I felt so incredibly compelled to review this bronzer after trying it on because it is truly that amazing!!!!! The bronzers I’ve tried include Smashbox, Estee Lauder, Chanel, Dior, Sisley, Orlane, Guerlain, Armani, and Shiseido. It’s been a battle for about a month or so in trying to find my perfect bronzer. My complexion is a verrrrry light golden tone, I’d say a fair golden, and 15 minutes in the AZ sun gives me a true brown tan. My problem is that bronzers either look light orange on me, dark orange, pink, or as if I just rubbed dirt on my face, and all this results in blotchiness that endless buffing does not relinquish. I also don’t have time to buff for 20 minutes if I accidentally throw on a little too much bronzer running late to work. And finally, my neck tan needs to match my face tan!
When I first came across TF Gold Dust, I honestly thought it would be too light and wouldn’t show up on me. I swatched it on my hand and was disappointed at how light it appeared. I bought it anyway because it just looked so beautiful!!!! The color is a true golden tone with flecks of gold that you can only see on the face very up close. I like bronzers to have dimension and don’t like matte bronzers at all. This bronzer is HUGE, and the compact is by far the most beautiful compact I have ever seen. It contains more product than any other brand I have ever come across, so I didn’t mind paying the hefty $95+tax since it will probably last me a while! What I think I love most about this bronzer is that almost anyone with golden hues in their complexion can probably wear it. It can be worn lightly or can be built for a deeper color. Never does it appear dirty or orange–just like a true tan. It LOOKS like you’re wearing a $95 bronzer, which means it looks like a super natural tan and not like bronzer at all!
Another thing I really like about this bronzer is that it is not heavily fragranced like Guerlain, which can be very irritating to extremely sensitive skin like mine. Also, it is very soft, smooth, and finely milled and seems to instantly smooth out pores, sooo gorgeous. I just bought the Bobbi Brown Bronze Glow Brightening Finishing Powder to throw all over the face on top of the bronzer, which looks absolutely stunning! I also think the TF Savage Blush is so gorgeous over it–I couldn’t stop looking at my face in the mirror! If you can afford it and want the most natural looking tan ever, get this immediately! And I *think* Gold Dust and Terra are now a part of TF’s permanent collection, thank goodness.

This bronzer is part of Tom Ford’s new summer color collection. The compact is awesome and comes in a nice felt carry around bag to avoid smudging it up! It’s a pretty huge square, but also ultra thin. So chic looking with a very functional and huge (handy for your purse) mirror. It comes in two colors. I got the lighter one, Gold Dust. The texture is silky smooth and easy to apply evenly. It does not look streaky or “fakey” or overdone even on very fair skin like mine. I was told by the SA that it has a tiny amount of shimmer – to me it looks matte but not flat. Great product for all over quick touch ups on the go and to get a glamorous evening look as a blush or for a little dramatic cheek contour. Definitely a top notch new TF product.
