I bought this bronzer based on great reviews, but I was disappointed to say the least!!
After each use, it developed a hard film on top which I had to remove every day. It was beyond frustrating. I normally hate to waste product, but I just threw it into the trash!!

The Bourjois Bronzing Powder is available in 2 shades, which isn’t a lot! I bought the shade 51 which is the lightest and still a bit too orange-toned for me as I am quiet fair… I do love the packaging, the chocolate(vanilla?) fragrance and how it applies and blends! I just keep it very light-handed to not overdo it!

I never used a bronzer and usually didn’t use a blush either but recently I felt like I want to go through those steps too.I already have three bronzers,Bahama Mama as a part of The Balm In Your Hand palette, two bronzers in a Tarte Holiday Palette, and a bronzer in Golden Rose Contour palette..none of these were what I liked to use so I decided to buy this Bourjois bronzer which most of my friends had and raved about.they said that it can be used as a contour shade too so I thought even if I lost my intrest in using a bronzer,I can use it to contour my face
It’s available in 2 shades where I live..51 and 55
55 has both bronzer and highlighter in it and is slightly more expensive.even though I love highlighters,I couldn’t buy that one as it’s bronzer shade was too dark and too orange-brown for me.I had to buy 51 which is just bronzer and was priced 9$.I couldn’t test it in store because even though I rubbed my finger on the tester with a lot of pressure there was no powder and no color.I guess it was the layer that other reviewers have mentioned here that formes on it’s surface after a while
I like it’s cardboard packaging a lot.it looks cute and isn’t big so I find it travel friendly.I even like it’s magnetic closure.I wish it came with a mirror or a little brush.there’s a layer of plastic cover on the bronzer which I decided to keep as I thought it may help in reducing the chance of that film’s formation.I pick it up with my nail from the side that has an arrow printed on it,use the bronzer, then stick it again.I was looking forward to smell it’s chocolate scent as I’m a perfume lover and specially love gourmand/chocolate perfumes but this bronzer doesn’t smell like chocolate to me.just a mild, sweet scent more like vanilla than chocolate.I tried applying it with a brush to my hand and when I smelled my skin closely,I could easily detect this nice sweet scent
Though it looks very slightly shimmery on the pan,it’s almost matte on skin(I can find two or three tiny glitters when I apply it to my hand and look carefully but the all in all look on face isn’t glittery or shimmery at all).it doesn’t have strong pigmentation and isn’t buttery smooth so I learned that just patting a fluffy brush with a light hand wouldn’t do the job in this case.so I rubbed a denser, angled brush on it which made me able to pickup enough product to apply on my face.it gave my skin a sheer touch of color which looked natural and gave some life to my pale skin. It’s color is good for my Mac N15 skin. It’s on the warm side of track but not too orange.unlike what my friend said I can’t use it to contour my face as I highly believe a contour shade must have a cool or at least a neutral undertone, but I think I can use it as a matte blush too
As mentioned before,it’s not very soft and buttery so there’s not too much kick up,but it doesn’t have an overly dry texture either.I like that it’s not very pigmented and that it’s not easy to pickup too much product so it will always look natural and even if one day I apply it carelessly it won’t be a huge mess on my face
It doesn’t look dry or cakey or patchy on skin and this is the most important factor for me.a bronzer that looks patchy can make my skin look dirty
I removed a lippie because it’s not buildable and isn’t able to give me a bold bronze look, also the film that forms on it’s surface is pretty annoying
P.S: I have a friend who applies it all over her face as if it’s a compact powder and strangely it looks good on her!

This is just ok. The packaging is cheap cardboard and looks a bit naff over time. I found the highlighter wasn’t picked up as easily as the bronzer when I swirled my brush over both – ended up with the bronzer used up and most of the highlighter left. No impact from the highlighter really. The full bronzer brick would be better value. Over time both powders became too solid to get any on the brush (was I not washing her brush enough and inadvertently getting some oil from my other makeup in it?). The bronzer itself is a matt muddy colour, which did suit my white medium skin reasonably well. This wasn’t something I would run out and by again.

This is a very “meh” product for me, it’s nor bad but all my other bronzers are just better and have something special and different about them where this one doesn’t, cute packaging though.

A really nice product – the bronzer isn’t orange on my pale skin and is perfect for both bronzing (obviously) and contouring, which is what I use it for.
The highlighter is a light shimmery colour and it’s so pretty both in the packaging and on my face. The product smells like vanilla and chocolate which is amazing and it really seems to last a while (it starts to fade a little at the end of school though, so around 6-8 hours worth of use there), I would definitely buy this again.

I use this bronzer quite often. At the start I found it absolutely amazing. I still like it a lot although the top has started going a bit hard and I really need to push my brush down to make sure it goes on. Other than that it still looks very good and does define my face very well. Also a bonus by the fact it has a lovely smell, I don’t think it smells like chocolate which is what I heard but it does smell amazing and not too overpowering. Bought for around £6.00 and packaging is also very nice:)

Awesome product. Smells lovely, the bronzing shade is great for contouring and the highlight is very subtle and pretty. A little on the pricey side for a drugstore bronzer but it is very pretty!

Loved this product for about 2 weeks until I no longer could pick up any product on my brush. Has a lovely shade and I liked the chocolate smell. However some kind of a barrier has been made in the product, like a film over it and it is a disaster. Has to be scratched in order to release any powder. Such a shame for a promising product.

Not a huge fan of this. The bronzer almost dries out (if you can say this about a powdery product) and it requires a lot of effort to get anything on your brush. As if a tranparent layer forms on it. If you first rub it off with a napkin it works ok. But next day it’s the same issue. The color is nice though and I like it that it’s matte.
The highlighter has a better consistency but has pink shimmer in it. As I have much redness on my face pink particles accentuate it even more.
The packaging looks cool though it’s not very convenient. the bronzer and highlighter are placed so close together it’s tricky to get only one of them ln your brush.
Ugh and the fake chocolate smell.
