I have this in the most recent Soleil collection version. I believe its the one after the Ultimate version.
This is my very first Tom Ford makeup and i picked the bronzer because i was running out of my YSL Les Sahariennes Balm to Powder Blur Bronzer. I wanted to try something new and in powder form. Ive been using cream bronzers for the past 2 years and was really in love with it. I wanted a powder bronzer that gave me the cream bronzer look. Something natural and not orange or heavy. The Tom Ford Terra gives me that and then some. Its on the cooler side of the bronzing world and i appreciate that. Most bronzers lean very very warm on my light neutral to olive skintone. Its soft and smooth with little kick up. Blends easily and looks skinlike. I use it on both bareskin and over my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation. Terra works well with both peach or pink blushes marrying everything together and giving me the right amount of a tan. This literally melts into the skin and lasts longer on me than a cream bronzer. Its more pigmented than my YSL Blur Bronzer and not as orange as the Chanel Soleil Tan Bronzing Base. I am very happy i got my hands on this and migrated towards powder bronzer. Packaging is gorgeous, ofcourse. It comes with a lovely faux suede white pouch(useless but really cute)
I was contemplating on purchasing this or the Marc Jacobs coconut Tantastic. The MJ one have been known to have “sinkholes” because its pressed with airbubbles. This really scares me in purchasing because ive heard horror stories. Its all over the MJ website on the review section along with Sephora review section for the Tantastic.
I bit the bullet and went for Tom Ford. For 70 usd i didnt know what i got myself into. Its such an addiction and one thats very expensive. When you get one Tom Ford, you cant really just stop. Well you can, but do you want to? Lol my point is that i didnt NEED this bronzer and i cant justify paying so much for this other than it looks pretty and i wanted something from Tom Ford. sigh i will update as i cont to use this.
Edit- is this beautiful? yes yes yes! is it worth the money? probably not, it is definitely an investment and a luxury splurge. I now been using this for a couple of months now and find it to be good but not HG.I dont think i will repurchase because it doesnt last long on the skin, longevity is very lacking even though it looks so seamless and maybe a bit too skinlike. I feel theres definitely dupes out there, if you want something from Tom Ford i suggest this as the first splurge but i honestly cant justify buying anything from the brand anymore after knowing Estee Lauder owns both TF and Mac. plus my favorite brand Charlotte Tilbury helped Tom Ford with his line and used to work for him, i rather spend my money on Charlotte Tilbury or Mac.
Final edit- Got the Bobbi Brown Stonestreetand i feel its way better for the price! Its 45 dollars but its longwearing. i feel a lot better paying for this than repurchasing the Tom Ford which is 70 for a little compact. Both are great and work the same

After months of contemplation, I gave in and bought it. One of the best buys of 2018, even if the price tag is hefty.
This bronzer is big, and the compact is by far the most beautiful compact I have ever seen, white, squared rounded corners, rimmed in gold, so chic looking with a very functional and huge mirror. (As a side note, I would have loved the TF logo discreetely showing on the white… I need people to know that I am applying Tom Ford and not a Mark Jacobs powder, who has a strikingly resemblance to that!).
It contains more product than any other brand I have ever come across, so I can justify the £70 since it will last me a while. What I think I love most about this bronzer is that almost anyone with golden hues in their complexion can wear it.
I have strong yellow undertones. It can be worn lightly or can be built for a deeper color.
Never does it appear dirty or orange–just like a true tan.
It’s got the nicest, most subtle shimmer I’ve ever seen. I got the deeper one, Terra. The texture is silky smooth and easy to apply evenly. Definitely a top notch product, reaching HG status. If you’re in doubt, get it, you will never regret it!
Probably the best bronzer on the Planet.

Terra is much more natural on me than Nars Laguna powder bronzer or Edward Bess Daydream which are both a bit more golden and are the last 2 bronzers I used regularly. It is almost matte, but not flat. As another reviewer said, it does blend seamlessly into blush. I’m about NC15-20, neutral to warm. Although, in other makeup categories, foundation, blush, eyeshadow, etc, I am constantly looking at and sometimes buying the next thing I read about that could conceivably be life altering, bronzer is one of those makeup categories that once I find “it”, I could be satisfied for years without straying. So, this is one makeup category in which I am definitely not an expert having only in my life owned 3 powder bronzers and 2 creams.
I’ve had Terra so long, I can’t even remember how many years ago I bought my first and to date, only compact of it. And, I can’t believe I didn’t review this favorite sooner. I average wearing makeup about 4 times a week now that I am retired and even on days I do wear it, I never reapply so keep that in mind when I say I know I’ve had Terra at least two years and am just hitting pan. My compact is the small size which was the only size available when I bought it. I do wish that I had bought the $TF bronzing brush before the switch to synthetic because the one bronzing brush I own from Bobbi Brown, while soft and dense is so big that the results are almost too subtle even for a subtle makeup application fan like me. As I hit pan, I am looking to see if I’d like to try something new, but I am leaning toward rebuying Terra since the color works so well and the texture is so natural. As I love it and it works so well and lasts so long, I think it is worth repurchasing.

Yes, Terra is as good as they say. The packaging is pure bliss and the amount you get is humongous. Still the pricetag can make me shed a tear although it’s not too obscene if you devide it per gram – 21gr.
I’m fair leaning warm toned and this color is foolproof. I use it every day for work because it’s impossible to mess up even when in a rush as it blends so beautifully. Adds definition and some sunkissed glow without looking obvious. The redish tones in it help blend with blush exceptionally so you get no visible lines once blended. I also use it as an eyeshadow on the crease and lower lashline for coherence.
Still if going for an actual summery look Hoola is my bronzer of choice as it’s stronger, more exotic and makes a bigger impact but this one is too tan to contour with.
I have to say that I don’t think it’s for everybody though. Deeper skintones won’t be satisfied with it I believe but there’s Bronze Age for that. Also keep in mind that there’s a reddish tone to it that not everyone will get on board with so test first. For me it’s love at first swatch.
Edit: I hit pan for good after a year of almost daily use and that’s something I wasn’t expecting considering how large it is! That’s partly because I need to swirl the brush a few times and pick quite a bit. After that incident I bought Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar (not natural enough), Chanel Bronze Universelle (too much yellow) and Guerlain’s Terracotta (way too much pigmentation) Nope, none of them gives me the same natural foolproof effect. Back to finishing Terra and also got a backup just in case.

This has replaced my Nars Laguna… enough said!! Very pricey, that’s the only down side to this product but everything else about it is perfect! The tone, the way it blends, and it’s actually buildable…! I use the Wayne Goss 00 brush to apply this however I believe it would work just as well with a denser brush or a contouring brush.

The only good thing about this bronzer was the packaging. It comes with a beautiful mirror and looks elegant like most of Tom Fords products, however I didn’t like the actual bronzer. The color looked slightly grey instead of bronze, and for the price I wouldn’t repurchase again for an average bronzer.

Edit 9/15/16: I returned this. I like the bronzer in Charlotte Tilbury film star bronze better.

Original review:
I got the travel sized 1 because I couldn’t quite come up w the $110 initial investment (wished I could’ve gotten the bronzer brush!) it would’ve been nice if they would’ve included an applicator……..but this is lovely for contour or bronzing it is truly neutral not warm & not cool. It’s extremely forgiving but pigmented. I was using guerlain, MAC Matte bronzer & Hoola which are nix compared to Tom Ford. I’d gladly eat top ramen for 2 weeks to save up for this bronzer (lol). Sooooo worth it. This is matte too. Bonus!! If you love evday luxury u need this.

The best. This bronzer is actually impossible to f up! No matter how much I put on my brush it goes on naturally, it blends in like a dream, it’s so buttery. It’s an odd one because it goes ob light but still packs a punch. My 4 year old niece was ‘doing my make up’ for fun and of course brushed on about three tonnes of this on me – you know what, it still looked ok! You can contour with it, you can bronze with it, the mirror is huge (I have the big one) and this is just perfection. Nothing bad to say whatsoever and that’s good because it costs a fortune,

I usually stay away from bronzers, they look too orange or too shimmery or make me look muddy.
I had a discount code for Selfridges and I happened to go nuts and got quite a few products, I love the bronzer packaging but I wasn’t in the mood for shimmer (Gold Dust) and thought Bronze Age would be too dark for my NC15-20 complexion.
I love this bronzer because it’s cool toned, no orange undertones and gives me a slight sun kissed look but it’s still very sheer and forgiving. Also if I’m the mood for a no foundation look, I just put some concealer, this bronzer and some blush and I’m good to go.
I bought the smaller pan because since I have a love/hate relationship with bronzers I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on something that might end on the back of my makeup shelf. However, when I finish I will get the normal sized one. This one is great for travelling though.
I’m pretty sure that are a lot of more affordable products but the colour on this one just basically makes it worth every cent.

Okay, so I was so certain I was going to love Terra that I bought both the small and large compacts in one go, sight unseen. Well, turns out my hunch was right – like all the other reviewers here, I love, love Terra and, yes, this is going to be a five star review. BUT I will say that in my case, it wasn’t love at first swipe – it actually took me a while to figure out how to use Terra. More on that below:
Coverage/Pigmentation: yup, this is one bronzer that’s impossible to overdo – even really pale people would be hard pressed to go overboard with Terra. I’m around N/NC 15 and when I first applied this using a typical fluffy bronzer brush, the colour payoff was so sheer I couldn’t even see it on my face (despite a very heavy handed application). If you’re looking for an all over the face bronzer, this isn’t the best choice because of 1) the sheerness and 2) the lack of warmth in the colour…
Colour: so, despite the earthy sounding name, which had me picturing a reddish terracotta shade, Terra actually leans pretty cool. It’s not ashy or anything – there’s definitely still some warmth in it – but it’s so neutral that it falls right between a contour powder and a bronzer. The matte finish is definitely more reminiscent of a contour product than a bronzer. Going back to the colour, this is one of those biscuity, lightly toasted shades that looks rather unexciting in the pan but does some sort of voodoo magic on your face. It’s amazing at defining your cheekbones, jawline and nose (i like to blend it into my eye socket too) in a very natural ‘non-toured’ way. Think more along the lines of ‘tan-toured’ – like you just got back from an extended vacation in Mykonos and generally live the life of a jet-setting global nomad with a sizeable trust fund. THAT is how Terra makes you look (expensive, effortless, maybe a little entitled).
EDIT: I have uploaded swatches of Terra alongside the Victoria Beckham for Estée Lauder bronzers and you can see it isn’t as pigmented and has a less smooth, satiny feel. Java Sun is imo the perfected version of Terra and I highly recommend it.
Application: So, as I mentioned earlier, it took me a while to get Terra to work for me. To achieve the aforementioned tan-toured look, I like to use a really dense brush with shortish bristles and a flattish, slightly domed top. For me, the Chikuhodo GSN-2 brush ticks all those boxes but I imagine any dense kabuki style brush would also work. What you really want is to buff the powder into your skin and since it’s so sheer, a dense brush is far better at picking up the product while the short bristles will give you more control over application. That said, this is just my own personal preference and I’m sure there are plenty of ways Terra could work for you.
Bottom line : l love Terra and although it’s pricey, it’s worth every penny and I will keep shelling out for it (speaking of which, go for the large size if you buy this – it works out WAY cheaper). I do think that because of its sheerness, Terra will work best for fair to light skinned people, probably going up to around NC/NW30. Besides that, the only advice I have is to keep in mind what brush you’re going to use. Your fluffy bronzer brushes probably aren’t going to cut it for this product.
