I have been on a mad quest to find the perfect exfoliating scrub, and posted all of my reviews. The other scrubs are for the entire body but I rated them on hands too. My ratings are below.
This is a good exfoliator for hands but I only gave it 4 lippies because of the chemical ingredients in it and the fact thatI found the Body Polishing Mousse from Amazonia works better as an exfoliator and moisturizing treatment on hands.
If you are interested, I have reviewed all of the top scrubs I have tried.
My ratings are:
3 Lippies – Fresh Brown Sugar Body Polish
4 Lippies – Clarins Gommage Tonic Corps – Toning Body Polisher
4 Lippies – Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Hand Recovery
4.5 Lippes – 100 Percent Pure Vanilla Bean Buttercream Scrub
5 Lippies – Amazonia Body Polishing Mousse

I’ve been using this scrub, along with the hand therapy cream, for over 7 years. I have always bought them in a duo pack but will review them separately. The scrub is the real winner though. It’s heaven. The exfoliating particles are quite large and abundant, which is likely why it leaves my hands so smooth, but the defining difference between this and all the mediocre hand scrubs I’ve tried is that it’s swimming in a viscous but manageable oil. Because it stands upright on the cap, make sure you give it a good shake before dispensing a blueberry sized amount so you get a good mix of scrub and oil.
The set is supposed to start with the scrub, let air dry for a few minutes, then follow with the cream, but frankly I don’t feel like the cream (4 lippies) is even necessary as the scrub is so hydrating in itself. As per instructions I apply to dry hands and scrub for 30 seconds before rinsing. Heaven, I tell you. The scent is a very strong floral, perhaps a mix of Lillies, lavender and violets, but don’t quote me on that. The main reason I give this 5 lippies is that it’s in a league of its own in ease, performance and pleasure for that 30 seconds. A tube will last me about 2 years of bi-weekly to monthly use and it keeps my hands ultra baby smooth, better than anything that any spa or salon has ever offered for multiple times the price. If you can handle the traditional scent which does tend to linger, you need this scrub in your life.

This is my favorite hand scrub of all time. I first started using it when I was really little, like, 7. Because I’d steal it from my mothers beauty drawer. I still use it to this day and I’m 19.
This hand scrub leaves my skin feeling so soft. It’s incredibly gentle. It doesn’t dry out my hands, in fact it hydrates them. The smell is light and very nice. My HG hand scrub!

This is the best hand scrub out there, period. Strong enough to use on feet, but won’t hurt delicate skin on tops of hands or wrists. I have soft skin to begin with, but this really makes them feel like silk. I’ve found this to be far more effective than One Minute Manicure or Mary Kay’s Satin Hands. Will definitely keep repurchasing this.

I use this scrub from times to times, especially during the winter when my hands are suffering from the cold and need some extra care. The sea salt provides a deep scrub, which is balanced by the oily texture (shea butter and lavender oil). The result is silky, soft, pampered hands, but I try not to use it too often because I find it a bit harsh. I also think the price tag is exaggerated compared to the simplicity of the product.

I have the 0.9 oz tube that came with Hand Therapy in the 60 Second Fix kit (I got mine from Ulta). As a comparison, St. Ives is too harsh, this is just right for my hands/body, and Cosmedicine is even finer for my face. It’s a little oily but I prefer that to being drying. Not a necessity but a nice little luxury once in a while. If I were to get a hand scrub again, this is the one I would purchase.

I’ve been using this product for about 6 years now. Its my own little manicure in a tube(saved me $$$ from going for a salon mani).
Like another reviewer noted, it goes on dry and you rub it in, rinse then pat dry. I sometimes leave this on for about 5 minutes before rinsing, as a sort of hand mask.
The reason why there is a waxy, oily finish right after is because that’s all the good stuff that will get soaked into the skin (thats why you pat dry). It soaks into the skin very quickly too and leaves a lingering fresh fragrance. You do not have to follow up with a moisturiser if you don’t have the time.
This stuff lasts a good long while too as it is in a tube. I even had a tube last me 2 years! (I know the ladies @ C&E would not be pleased to hear that). The smell didn’t turn, maybe intensified a bit. I have repurchased and stocked up during a sale.
I took a lippy of as I feel that this is quite pricey for a handscrub. But it is worth the extra few dollars because:
1. Its packaging allows it to last, is hygenic and dispenses the right amount.
2. Delivers as promised.
3. Is multifunctional – Exfoliater+Mask+Moisturiser
3. Saves you money from too many salon trips.
4. Gives that pampering element at home anytime without having to book a time to make small talk with a salon girl.

This is such a great scrub. As someone else said, it only takes one use to transform your hands from dry, rough, scaly and blah, to spa-tastic soft. Seriously good stuff.
The fragrance is a light ‘water fresh’ scent, very soft. My hands feel and look gorgeous and young after this scrub. I follow it with the Hand Therapy – a fabulous hand cream.
Most importantly use it on dry (not wet) hands for the best results. I’ve used ‘dry’ hand scrubs and buffing grains before, but this is by far the best hand scrub. Enjoy!

The hand scrub and the hand thearpy are terrific products, and work well together. The scents are light and fresh – just how I like it. For $20, you’re going to have the nicest hands and feel a little pampered!

I got this in a full size set for $20 for the hand recovery and hand therapy which is good deal. I actually liked the waxy soft feeling it left behind so I actually got this scrub for my feet..lol and I like this scrub better than the la source foot smoother. Anyway, I also used it on my hands, which its really made for, right after a shower and it really makes me feel pampered.
