Pros:
– quick results
– convenient to use
– a little goes a long way
– nice packaging
Cons:
– very harsh
– expensive compared to other treatments
This product works and it works fast. I’ve had KP on my arms and thighs for forever and I’ve tried many different treatments (typically in the form of lotions/creams). I would get good results but I had trouble being consistent. I don’t like to use KP treatments during the day because they often smell or have a sticky texture. I would try to use them at night before bed but I would usually forget. I was excited to try this out because I figured a scrub in the shower would be quick and easy to remember. And it is! Even better, I had results in the first week (using the scrub every other day). Unfortunately, this scrub is very harsh! I thought I would be able to tolerate it and I stuck with it for a few weeks because I loved the results. But the truth is that this scrub is just plain uncomfortable to use.It felt very scratchy on both my arms and legs. Not to mention if felt like it would sand my palms down to the bone during use. I don’t consider my skin to be sensitive and I have used scrubs before, but I think this particular scrub is just too harsh for continued use.
This scrub costs $26 for 8 ounces of product. A little goes a long way so I’m sure a bottle will last for a long time. However, compared to treatments you can find at the drugstore this is quite expensive.
I loved the convenience of treating my KP in the shower but I think I will go back to using lotions and creams. If you enjoy gritty scrubs and don’t find them uncomfortable to use, you might have luck with this. For anyone with sensitive skin, I would stay away!
