A fantastically refreshing scrub with medium sized sea salt granules that work well for my back and other body areas. I love the smell of this, it’s like a minty lemonade or mojito, aswell as the cooling sensation, probably due to the Spearmint and Peppermint extracts. Yes it’s slightly pricey for a scrub but I like the ingredients (organic and plenty of essential oils) so don’t mind spending $14 USD on it. The only thing I don’t like is the oily film it leaves behind on my skin – which it is bound to with Safflower Oil being the 2nd ingredient. A lighter oil such as Jojoba would rinse off much better imo but that would probably bump the product cost up a lot! I towel dry once I’ve used this and rinsed it off as best as I can, but find I have to change my towel more often due to the amount of oil it soaks up. Anyone with super-dry skin would probably find their skin drinks it up, to a good extent, but mine is far from dry! Other than this one issue I do love everything else about this scrub and would likely re-purchase.

A really nice scrub! Very scrubby, and smelled absolutely amazing! And I loved the cool tingle I got after I rinsed it off. The size of the jar was very nice too. You get a lot of product in that 9 oz jar. My biggest complaint about this is it left that annoying oily film on my skin afterwards, and I’m not a fan. I probably won’t repurchase because it was kinda expensive and since using this I’ve found a scrub that has become my HG. But if I could find it for cheaper, I might consider.

I went to Whole Foods to buy the chocolate scrub by this brand, based on the rave reviews and they were all sold out and only one tub of this was left so I snatched it up.
Oh YES. YAASSSS.
This body scrub is PERFECT, how did I ever live without it?! I’m super picky about body scrubs, I loathe the super oily ones that make me feel dirty and gross. Previously I was devoted to the Nuance by Salma Hayek body scrub in the tube but they discontinued it 🙁 🙁 *****but***** this one is even better!! Way, way better!
Perfect scent, texture and it makes my skin GLOW. Definite HG status.

I love this. The smell really is comparable to lemonaid. It kind of reminds of of Lush Sexy Peel soap, but more minty and cool. Provides a nice scrub, and the scent lasts. It’s a bummer that it’s hard to find where I live.

I love this scrub. The scent is wonderful in the morning, and the level of exfoliation is perfect for me. It is my favourite body scrub. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to find where I live.

Giovanni makes two body scrubs: this one and Hot Chocolate. I have to say that if I haven’t tried the Hot Chocolate first, that would have been 5 lippies, but Cool Mint loses in comparison.
Cool Mint is a salt scrub and the crystals of salt are smaller than the crystals of sugar so the actual scrubbing capacity is less here. The consistency, as it’s been said, is more of a very thick gel rather then the usual oily “porridge” so it will not separate or spill out.
The smell of this product is heavenly, exactly like a fresh mojito from the best bar in town and I love the cooling sensation (very prominent cooling sensation!!!) in the middle of a hot day. I apply the scrub all over my body, wait for a minute for it to “take up”, wash off and immediately wrap myself in a big warm towel. The sensation of coolness and warmth at the same time is indescribable, I feel almost high doing this haha.

Giovanni Mint Lemonade scrub
I picked this up because I was in the market for a new scrub since I was out of the Tree Hut one I like so much.
First of all, I love the smell of this! It smells like a margarita, or a mint mojito, or both? It’s sweet and salty, lemony, minty, DELICIOUS! I almost want to eat it!
It is very cooling and refreshing. I love it. The sensation lasts long after the scrub has been washed off, and would be great to use on a hot summer day. My SO loves it for this reason, alone — he’s pretty much addicted to it.
The consistency of this scrub is odd. When I scooped some out, it all stayed together in a glob. So, it is more gloppy rather then gooey – if that makes any sense. You can soft of ball it up in you hand, which I find I like because it’s not as messy are more oily/liquid-y scrubs that can run and drip all over the place.
It works well to exfoliate. I like to use it all over my body, concentrating on my knees, elbow, feet or anywhere else I am dry. I mostly use it for right before I apply self tanner. I WOULD NOT use it on the face, a lot of the ingredients are very harsh, and I think it would be a disaster. My SO uses it on his face, despite my warnings, and seems to like the tingles. But still, it just sounds like a bad idea to me…
I did experience some mild irritation with this. I turn of the water and scrub, and then rinse it off. While I was rinsing, I did have some part that really stung where there was some broken skin/razor burn. It was not pleasant. It ALMOST makes me want to stop using it, but I am just so addicted to the scent and every thing else about it that I would continue to use it, I am just careful about when/where I use it.
I also want to say that most of the ingredients are possible irritants – citrus, mint, spearmint – all things that can be harsh on sensitive skin, so proceed with caution. That being said, all the ingredients are simple and natural.
My skin feels nice after, but I find it to be more drying the most other salt & oil based scrubs. I just follow up with a moisturizer and I am fine.
The packaging sucks. The lid doesn’t fit right, and is bigger then my hand so I have trouble opening it. It is unnecessarily bulky, which irritates me. It makes it look like you are getting way more then you really are. If you look at the bottom, there is about ½ all the way around of plastic. It’s also so bulky that it doesn’t fit on the ledges in my shower. I guess it is suppose to look cool, but to me, every thing about it is wrong.
It’s a little pricey, about $9. So I don’t see myself repurchasing as a staple. I can find basic salt scrubs for a lot less that work just as well. I will probably go back to my Tree Hut in Coconut Lime when I finish this one.

i like how it tingles and smells. it exfoliates well but after i rinse it off i feel like the organic oils leave a residue on my skin like a heavy coat.
i wouldn’t buy this again. and the packaging is nice but i don’t like there’s a plastic cover lid inside the lid. i always fumble with that. and the container looks like its large but it holds little scrub.
its not my HG scrub but it is quite a nice one 🙂 if you don’t mind the residue oily feeling on your skin.

I LOVE this stuff! It smells good enough to eat and leaves a totally refreshing tingle on my skin. It makes me want to grow mint leaves in my garden!
The only downside is that the lid on the packaging doesn’t screw back on properly. Otherwise, fantastic product!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff!!! How did I live in this world and not know this exist?! LOL. Wonderful minty lemonade smell and it gives you such a surprising tingle-AWESOME.I especially like it before shaving my legs.Makes my skin oh so smooth and the price is great. It doesn’t replace my Philosophy body scrub but it comes really close. I definitely recommend.
