   I tried this blush in a couple of the lightest shades, and as a pale person, I found it completely unusable. The amount that came out of the pump was probably 100 times the amount I needed, but I couldn’t manage to apply a small enough amount to make it work. It is SOOOOO highly pigmented that I couldn’t keep from looking like a Pierrot doll, or like I was having my worst rosacea outbreak ever.

   Comes in a punp. I boght superstar which is a peachy pink. This blush is highly pigmented. All I needed was a small dab. Used a damp beauty slonge to blend. The color is sheer. It is a thin liquid. It looks like a flush. Does not dry powdery. I think i’ll try it as a lip stain. It smells ok and has no shimmer. Use real tiny squirts from the pump. One reviewer said pinhead size drop. Good advice. Looks and acts like a high end product for a drug store price. Color does not clash with my new mica lipstick..

   I bought e.l.f.’s Studio HD Blush in Headliner last summer, and my daily makeup routine for blush is either this or Nars Mata Hari – I switch it up every so often.
   The lasting power is pretty great, and it’s cheap as hell, but the downside is either that it’s too pigmented, or too hard to control the amount you squeeze out. If it were easier to control how much of this you squeezed out, the pigmentation wouldn’t be a big deal, but I find it impossible to squeeze out just the right amount.
   I personally don’t use a brush with this stuff, partly because I’m lazy and most of the attraction for me with cream blush is that I don’t really need a brush if I don’t want to, which I find particularly appealing for travel. If you’re applying this for the first time, be advised: use as little of it as possible and build if you need to. I squeeze out a bit onto my finger, and then smear a bit of it onto the back of my hand. After I’ve got the right amount on my finger, I smile and smooth it with a circular motion onto the apples of my cheeks. The result is a very cute, natural-looking flush.

   ETA: If any of you have an issue where the pump stops working and the product won’t come out, I had this issue for a long time too but recently finally fixed it, so product has started coming out of the nozzle again. There wasn’t any particular trick but in case it helps anyone else: I pretty much took a safety pin and poked and swirled around inside the nozzle to clear out any clogs, and then rapidly and aggressively pumped down on the nozzle a bunch. Like I was holding the tube with one hand and using the flat palm of my other hand to quickly pump down *hard* on the top of the pump. For 5-10 minutes I alternated between pumping and stabbing inside the nozzle with the pin until finally the product started coming out again. Like I said, not exactly a simple or clever trick, but it worked, and I couldn’t find anything online about fixing it so I thought I’d share with the rest of you.

   Coming back over a year after buying this to change my review to 5 lippies. I use this stuff way too much to not give it 5 lippies. I have to say I might like it better than Nars powder blush, which was my HG for years. I’m also still on the same tube of the e.l.f.! Crazy good value. The only cons are getting used to the pigmentation and how much to apply, and the nozzle getting clogged, but even with those cons, this is a seriously good blush. I’d buy a backup, but I anticipate getting another year out of the same tube – luckily the pump is hygienic.
