Wow! I am shocked by the poor reviews for this product. This is absolutely one of my favorite blushes ever. It’s right up there with NARS New Order and Tony&Tina Perfect Pink for holy grail blushes. I’m a MAC NW20 most of the year. I do not use the brush that came with it, though, sounds like that might help. Looks like it’s been discontinued, but Maybelline Dream Bouncy in Orchid Hush is a pretty close dupe.

I love the colour, but you’re right, the color payoff just isn’t there. I guess if you’re afraid of being heavy handed this will be perfect for you! However, I’m a sucker for packaging and this is just gorgeoussss so I’m still keeping it but won’t be repurchasing.

For a $30 blush, I expect a lot more from this. Staying power isnt that great (I have combo skin, but oily on cheeks now that it’s summer). I did use a mattifying primer too before layering this on. The packaging is super cute, but the brush is a bit meh. It all comes in a black pouch, with everything (pouch, brush, blush outside, blush dome protector inside) labeled “marc jacobs” (eye roll). I think the type of brush you use affects the color payoff of this blush a lot. At the store, she didn’t seem to use a heavy hand when putting this blush on me to try, yet the color was a lot more intense then when I brought it back home to use with my own brush. It seems like I don’t get enough product picked up by my brush.
Update: I bought the dupe for this (Makeupgeek in Secret Admirer) and at a fraction of the price, that blush was more pigmented and soo similar in color to Outspoken that I returned it to Sephora. It leans a bit more pink when applied, but the difference to Outspoken is negligable.

This is my favorite blush! I am about an MAC NC15-NC20 (but more on the 15 side) and this unique shade gives the perfect pop of color. I appreciate that it isn’t overly pigmented where a lot of blending is required and you end up with a face of blush, but is is buildable. It has a satin finish, so it looks pretty and doll-like. I wouldn’t call this natural looking because the color is so cool-based but if you like the retro-doll look then this is perfect. The packaging is adorable, but the price hurts. I would recommend getting this when Sephora has their VIB sale with 20% off. I wouldn’t recommend this to someone who is deeper than a NC/NW30 (35 is pushing it) because the pigment doesn’t show up and because it is a pale shade it will cause an unflattering white-cast. It comes in a little compact and the product itself is dome-shaped, I would say that now after all the love it has completely flattened out. The lasting time on this blush for me is about 5-6 hours (im oily) and then it starts to disappear. But I feel that since the packaging is so little and the formula isn’t tooo powdery, it can withstand the bumpy ride in my on the go makeup bag. I will definitely pick up another blush in this shade (during the sale). ALTHOUGH, Make up geek has just released a new line of blushes and one of the shades called Secret Admirer- it looks identical to this. So, I will definitely be picking one of those up when they are back in stock on make up geeks website and compare them.

This was the most disappointing item from my MJB haul. Gorgeous in the pan, but invisible on my NC40 skin. I really wanted this color to work for me, but it just isn’t pigmented enough. Returned.
