Lover’s Blush is a soft brown/peach blush with slightly golden shimmer, which is very flattering on my coloring. It makes me look healthy as it acts as both a light bronzer and a blusher on me! When I look in the mirror, I see healthiness and not the blush on my cheeks.
About my coloring so you can compare to yours – I am a natural redhead, who is now graying, so I dye my hair auburn with golden face framing highlight. I have green/blue eyes. My skin is very light. It’s texture is dry with freckles and mild rosacea on my cheeks. I have recently learned to downplay the redness with a warm or neutral leaning foundation and now this blush.
I do agree with the other reviewer who said that its name has changed several times over the last 20-years. I recognized the hue at the store immediately. When I look at the display, the color does not stand out amongst the others, so I guess that’s why I overlooked it. I now really like it and wish I tried it a long time ago!

I quite like this blush it applies really well and blends in quite naturally. ı would recommend this shade for lighter skin tones. The package seemed sturdy, yet got broken in my makeup bag. the mirror part is detached so I can not carry it around, I wear it before ı leave home. Shade and formula is amazing, yet the package is not so well.

I was very wary of this blusher when I first bought it because I’m not really into sparkle/shimmer on my face unless it’s highlighter and this blush has a soft, slightly golden shimmer through it however a good friend who is also a professional makeup artist recommended this to me and I trust her opinion. Thank goodness I did, it is gorgeous! Not too shimmery whatsoever, if anything it just adds a little radiance to the skin. It’s very buildable so you can make it as bold or as soft as you please. I use this as an everyday and nighttime blush! It’s my “go to” shade! Works with basically every eye look under the sun! If you’re looking for a lovely blush that blends beautifully and you don’t have to worry about the other shades that you’re wearing then this is for you! I have very pale skin, basically white and I love it! It works with almost every skin tone!

I got this with the 2014 Holiday Color Portfolio Palette. It is one of my favorite blushes and the only blush I would actually purchase out of that palette. This is light brown-peach blush with a little bit of gold shimmer. This is one of the very few shimmer blushes I will wear to work, because it is just looks so soft and natural. I like to sweep this over the tops of my cheekbones and center of my nose to highlight, and I will contour with a matte bronzer when I do this. Very pretty, subtle and versatile.

I am very pale and a bit ruddy. This is a nice light dusty light brown peach type of color, with a little shimmer. It looks sort of light brown in the pan and if you look carefully you see light peach and some gold. It’ looks very natural on pale types. The dusty part makes it look less coral (not that that is bad) on me. A very natural looking wearable shade for pale types. Mature women might like it too. Gives me a nice flush.. You don’t have to be so worried about overdoing it. I have hooded eyes and oven use this on top of the crease.. I just dust it above the lid. Gives some definition and warmth, but doesn’t bring out the dark circles. On the cheek it blends beautifully. So it never looks splotchy on me. I have a lot of redness on the nose and around it. That can make using blush tricky. But I can look washed out without blush and have high cheekbones. This always works for me. As for the package, it’s nice and sturdy, the brush is standard and mirror is big and it has a nice expensive look. It is expensive, but you do get a lot. I have had it for year and still more than half full. The case it is a bit heavy to carry and hard to open. The brush isn’t bad. I still love NARS blushes and the colors are more exciting. This isn’t a wow color, but it’s very flattering. Lasting power is pretty good for me, but I can use a fair amount of this.
Update: I upgraded this to five stars. This is my go to, favorite blush. It is so natural and wears so well. I use it so much. If I ran out I’d re-buy in heart beat. Even though it is pricey.

This is a simply beautiful blush.
I have very fair skin and I never would have bought that color unless I allowed the customer service lady apply it on my cheeks at the store. When you look at it in the package it looks simply brown but on the cheeks it gets a beautiful peach color that simply gave my face a lively glow.
I am simply in love with it.
It also has a solid packaging and a small brush and mirror which make it great for travelling.

This blush is by no means cheap. It came to a whopping $39, but these are the prices one has to come to expect from department store cosmetic brands. The blush itself comes in a beautiful easy-to-use, easy-to-open gold compact container. It’s contents inside include a compact mirror, the blush, and a small slot with a brush. What attracted me to this color (Lover’s Blush) was that it was the least pink of all the colors. Now that Tom Pecheux is the creative director of Estee Lauder, their color offerings have really gotten wild for such a sensible brand. Lover’s Blush is a nice, creamy tan beige color with only a slight hint of pink (it’s not pink, though.) The blush also has a subtle gold shimmer, but you’d have to hold a magnifying glass up to your face in order to tell. This is a good thing, though, as I feel shimmery blushes aren’t natural looking. And like concealer, blush is something you want to look as natural as possible.
The brush that is provided is pretty basic, but it works perfectly fine. I give the whole of my cheeks some circular brushes of blush which gives it a beautiful flush and glow. Again, this is a very earthy and mature tone, but it works for pale and fair skintones.
But as the day goes on, my love for this blush always fades. I always set my face with powder which gives my makeup more staying power. After a few hours of wearing this, the color has definitely faded and only hints of color can be seen. My cheeks return to their normal tone, and this makes a big difference with how I look. I even tried NOT setting my face with powder, and that didn’t help any. I’ll continue to use this up because I love the color, but longevity is a big issue with me and this just doesn’t meet those expectations.
PROS:
– Blends quite well, and is buildable if you want more color
– Gives your cheeks a natural looking color and glow
– Works well with other colors and cosmetics
– Compact and easy to use and reapply
CONS:
– Expensive at $39
– Doesn’t have much staying power, fades within 4 or so hours

Soft peachy pinky beige with gold shimmer. I have very very fair skin and this is the only Estee Lauder shade that suits me. Its a beautiful natural brightening blush/bronzer that makes my pale PPP skin glow.
If you are an Estee Lauder blush fan from way back you may think you’d seen this new shade before – and you’d be right. They keep switching the names on us! This was originally in a Blush All Day in “Desert”. Then when they changed to the Tender Blush line they renamed it “True Sand”. Now its called Pure Color the latest name is “Lover’s Blush”. So if you are wanting to get either of those 2 old shades you can still purchase it under this new name.
The only reason why I wouldn’t buy again unless in GWP size is I REALLY dislike the compact. It is hard to open and needs so much force it usually chips my nail polish, breaks off nails tips or leaps onto the floor. Too much DRAMA.
