I got this in a blind swap today – I normally have light, neutral skin with slight olive undertones. I was afraid that it would be too light or invisible on my (currently) tanned skin, having read the previous reviews and having just arrived from a beach vacation with a very tanned skin.
– I’m normally Mac C1 in Face & Body; Light in Erborian/Lumene BB and CC creams, but currently I’m 1-1,5 shades darker, after 2 weeks in full sun
– my concealer, which is way too light for me even in the wintertime, is Mac NC20. It looks almost white on me right now.
Everyday Minerals’s Matte Base in 1W is a great match for my CURRENT skintone, and Dame blush turned out just perfect for me!!!
In the pan, Dame looks identical (and I mean, IDENTICAL) to Mac Well Dressed – cold pink, very light, with super-tiny flecks of bluish microshimmer. Well Dressed has slightly larger sparkles in it (which are invisible on the cheeks, mind you), and Dame looks perhaps just a tiiiny bit warmer than WD, but I had to squint at both of them for 2 minutes to notice that.
Wow, the finish is so different. When swatched side by side, WD looks very chalky compared to really natural Dame, which just blends with the skin soooo beautifully.
I can’t wear WD in summer with a tan at all – it looks like I have frost-bit bluish cheeks on my golden tanned skin – but it’s my go-to in winter.
Dame, on the other hand, looks just perfect, even right now – it really mimics a natural blush, like I have just came back from a small run in the woods. Can’t wait to see how it performs in winter!

Is there any problems about this color? It is so subtle I have to scrape the pan so many times to get the color.
This texture of this blush is quite hard with very subtle color, I don’t think it is satin it should be matte. Even it’s really nice color in the pan but can not even see on my cheeks, so disappointed with this. Is there something went wrong?

Pretty in the pan, but you need to be patient and persistent with this blush if you want to see it on your skin. I am fair-medium skinned, currently using MAC StudioFix Fluid in NW20. I found that I had to swipe at this blush about 5 times each side before I noticed any color payoff on my cheeks. Once I could see it, Dame is a very natural pink color and good for every day use. But if you are looking for a dramatic look, I would definitely skip this one.

Mac Dame is a long lasting, satin blush which is a cool, baby pink colour with a very small amount of shimmer and a slightly purple/mauve undertone. I have NC20 skin, and Dame looks very nice and natural on my cheeks, and gives my skin a nice, glow. It makes my skin healthy looking, like it is glowing from the inside out. The colour itself is easy to work with, blends easily and doesn’t look fake. It is quite a fair colour, so it may not show up well on dark skin, but it looks very nice on fair-light medium skin. Dame is definitely a go-to blush for me.

I really love this blush. It is a pretty pink mauve shade on me (i am fair skinned NC20). It lasts a good 6-8hrs on me, I hardly have to retouch midday. Really nice everyday blush! 🙂

I bought it because I was in need of a cool toned pink blush. I have NW20 skin with pink undertones and after reading reviews of girls with the same or similar colorings I was conviced that Dame is the answer to my search. Sadly it looked too red and dark on my skin. It looks prettier on the pan. The pigmentation of my pan was good. The color showed up very easily on my skin. It has a little blue undertones but infact it leans more warm. This is not a cool cool tone pink. To me the color is mauvey dirty reddish pink and it is very dupeable. There is not a tiny bit of uniqueness in this color. Every makeup company carries similar color. There are very close dupes. Please do your research before buying this.
After swapping Dame away for good, I recieved Nars Sin from a lovely swapper and it quickly became my HG.

Hmm, the previous review has me a little worried. I bought this during this past (late) summer and fell in love with it. I am pale and cool tones just work best on me. My skin has been changing in the last couple of years and I had been having trouble finding a blush that not only looked good, but also did not wear off within half an hour. This worked like a charm and made me literally looked like I was glowing from within. I love it. But the previous post has me concerned that maybe they changed the formula..? Not sure if that was before or after I got mine. I will repurchase when this runs out and hope that it is the same one I fell in love with.

What happened to this previously fantastic cool toned pink blush????
MAC’s “Dame” used to be one of my favourite blushes – especially during the cooler months when my fair skin was even fairer. The satin finish prevented it from looking flat, dry and powdery ( lets just say that a true matte blush is NOT a great finish on my 50 yr old skin).
Repurchased this blush 3 times and this time something VERY odd is going on. Whilst the colour looks the same in the pan, it doesn’t transfer from the pan to the brush never, mind to my cheeks. Its almost like they forgot to add the pigments or something. Bizarre. So I valiantly swirl and sweep – zero blush pay off. Nothing. I hate to say it but virtually EVERY product I’ve repurchased from MAC of late has been a dud. Their prior velvety eyeshadows are invariably a horrid texture, won’t stick to the lids and have fallout like the cheapest of the cheap. The lippies are either greasy and smeary or super drying and now the blushers have seemingly gone downhill, too. What a pity. MAC products, in their hayday, were phenomenal. I hope a new company comes and takes their prior place.
Don’t bother with this blush – you might as well just physically pinch your cheeks for a better and longer lasting effect.

This is one of those blushes that doesn’t look very exciting in the pan but is very pretty on. If you are fair skinned like me (NC15) and have to proceed with caution and a very light hand with most blushes you will love Dame. it’s quite a novelty and enjoyable to be able to apply a blush quite liberally without turning myself into a clown.
So even on my skin tone this needs to be built up, but it translates as the most natural looking flush of pink, layered and buffed in I find the pigmentation of this blush good and it lasts all day. I really love the natural looking pink and find it goes with any make-up look.
My favourite way to apply this is with the RT Stipple brush or the ELF Flat top powder and to really buff it in so it looks like a natural flush. This blush looks beautiful with a highlight such as High beam or Too faced Candlelight glow duo – or anything similar.

What a disappointment. This satin finish blush has little colour pay off/pigmentation. I had to literally scrape the pan to see any colour. Other satin finish blushes by mac I have had no problem with. The colour is great but I shouldn’t have to scrape the pan.
