This blush is a good coral colour, and although it looks much too bright for me in the container, I found when I smoothed it on that it blended easily and gave a soft and pretty effect. The packaging says it can be used for both lips and cheeks, but I’m not sure what that would do from the hygiene point of view. Wouldn’t using it for both mean lots of bacteria getting into the product? I don’t think I will use it as a lip gloss for this reason., but as a blush it works well for me. Easy to spread, and – very important – didn’t cause any reaction to my very sensitive skin.
I do think it’s overpriced, but I would buy it again for the colour and the easy way it spreads. You only need a very small amount, so I expect it to last well. I have had to stop using powder blush because the skin on my cheeks is just too dry to make a good surface, and putting powder on top just dries them out more. But this is a good product and works for me. Not sure how this would work on darker skin but I am very pale and it looks great with my colouring.

This is one of Bobbi’s brightest pop hues for cheeks and lips. Pot rouges, like Stila Convertible Colors, are intended to be used as cream blush and lip color. It comes in a small travel-friendly round case with a flip-top mirrored lid. It’s long-lasting. I was digging through my suitcase and found this around 7 a.m. and at 2:30 pm there’s still plenty of color on my cheeks from my application this morning.
It’s easy to overdo this color, but I use my foundation brush to blend and soften it. A light dab is all that’s required for this to show up. Cream blushes have a nice glow to them lacking in most powder blushes. As a lip color this lasts as well as most of my lipsticks. It saves you the trouble of matching your cheek shade to your lip shade.
I’m stepping back from the counters of the Estee Lauder brands and shifting my dollars toward cruelty free brands, but I have so many products that are half-used from MAC and Bobbi Brown that it’s too expensive to replace them all overnight.
Chantecaille makes cream blushes just as beautiful as these, but theirs are slightly more expensive. Bobbi’s are $29 and Chantecaille runs $26 for the color pan and $12 for a refillable compact for a first-time total of $38. (After you run out you can save by using the same compact and replacing the color only.)

I usually use Fresh Melon but I finally got this because I liked the colour on my lips.
I’m really lazy in the morning I dip my concealer brush and draw a light line alone my cheek/apple of cheek then go over with a blending brush. It really does work as a blush! it’s layerable so the more vivid you want your colour, the more you can use or go over the previous layer.
The formula is hydrating for the lips and gives you a glossy finish without being overly shiny. It makes your lips look ‘plump’, especially without a liner so good news for if you don’t have natural pouty lips.
If you put this under your foundation, it gives you a more of a natural subtle hue. If you put it over your foundation, you get a more dramatic effect. If you accidentally put too much blush on, go over the area with your foundation brush lightly.
In conclusion: a GREAT Bobbi product, definitely lives up to its reputation. Make sure you use clean brushes because this product can last really long but if it’s contaminated, it cannot be cleaned. Rubbing alcohol affects the texture/consistency and breaks it down. You have to wipe off a lot of the top layers (a lot of waste) to ‘clean’ it but prevention is better than trying to save a product that’s been in the draw too long.

I love the pot rouges and Calypso Coral is no exception. It’s brighter than Fresh Melon and it looks scarier in the compact than it does on the cheeks. It’s still subtle and great for medium skin tones. (maybe a bit light for darker skin tones)
This is a great true coral blush for the summer and it brightens up my complexion instantly.
The staying power is superb; there’s no fading or sinking into my pores.
If you’re wanting a coral cream blush that’s bright but still subtle, I recommend Calypso Coral.

Well, it’s a really pretty color for both cheeks and lips, but that’s about it.
It leaves a natural result, with a smooth application. I was looking for a coral-blush during the start of summer, and the lady at the makeup-store suggested this. I decided to give it a try, even though I was originally heading for the Chanel Présage Blush.
So, I gave it a try, and it looked gorgeous on the skin…. for about.. 5 minutes. The durance of it pretty much sucks, and I can’t even arrive at school or anything without it no longer existing on my face. That’s what makes it not worth it to me.
Final Summation:
Gorgeous color, but it’s already gone before you finish your breakfast.

I really wanted a summery cream blush and decided to get this one after reading lots of reviews. When I went into Sephora to swatch it, I was extremely intimidated. In the pan, it looks very bright and pigmented. I wasn’t sure how it would look on my fair skin, but I decided to get it anyways.
As a blush, I love this color! It sheers out a lot on the cheeks and leaves a really pretty coral color. It might be a little too sheer for people with darker skintones, but it works great for me. It stays put for several hours and I love how natural it looks. I also love the sleek packaging and I think the price is reasonable compared to similar cream blushes. I have sensitive skin and haven’t noticed any breakouts or irritation from this product either.
That being said, I do like the color on my lips as well, but I don’t like the texture much. It accentuates every dry spot and isn’t super moisturizing. It could work well if you have very moisturized lips, but I think I’ll stick to using it as a blush for now.

This is a light coral color that looks beautiful in the pan, I like a very natural look and find that a lot of powder blushes have a lot of glitter, so I was excited to try it out. While it doesn’t have the glitter problem, it was just too sheer for my AA (NW45) skin to show up. It took a lot for me to even think I had a hint of color on, though it did look very natural (perhaps too natural). This will be going back to sephora.

I am presently kicking myself for not trying this fantastic blush earlier. Since my skin’s on the oily side, I had been sticking to good powder blushes, thinking that something like pot rouge wouldn’t work for my skin type (and a bad experience with Tarte gel blush didn’t contribute to a change in mindset, either). I still wasn’t really happy with the way that powder blush was laying on my foundation, though, especially when it’s hot and humid – then it tends to look even worse, settling into my pores. So I had pretty much given up on blush, even though I love the fresh look of it. Enter Bobbi Brown pot rouge. As soon as I tried it, I knew that I had found the right product. It’s a very pigmented rouge (but then again, Calypso Coral’s the brightest color in the line) so a little bit rubbed on the apples of your cheeks with your fingertips is all that it takes. Wear time is excellent; it lasted several humid hours until I removed it, and the color stayed true. I would definitely recommend this shade to anyone with warm medium/tan skin (I am NC 35/40+, depending on the season). I’m also a big fan of NARS Amour, NARS Excite, and Illamasqua Hussy, to give you an idea of what color family Calypso Coral is in…I don’t think I’ll be going back to powder blush for the foreseeable future, though, because the natural flush of this pot rouge is the best blush I’ve tried, hands down. The sleek packaging is a plus, too. Obviously, I would repurchase and highly recommend.

I saw many good reviews here and I decided to purchase this product. At first i was a bit skeptical and worried because it seems not easy to blend and apply especially on my oily and combination skin. However it turned out to be My HG!
After applying it my colleagues notice my changes and said the color looks nice on my face! I decided to write a review so to share with everybody how great the product is… at least to me 🙂
